The Cisco ASA 5500-X Series are next-generation midrange

security appliances that leverage the Cisco SecureX

Framework for a context-aware approach to security. The

selection, with no need for additional hardware. This series is

built on the same proven security platform as the rest of the ASA family of security appliances, and have

been designed to deliver superior performance for exceptional operational efficiency.

Ordering Tips

Ordering product SKUs that include I/O or license options during initial configuration is generally discounted

compared to ordering spare options separately at a later date. Spares are denoted by an “=” at the end of the

part number.

Ordering I/O options during initial configuration is discounted compared to ordering I/O spares separately at a

later date.

Ordering IPS license options during initial configuration is discounted compared to ordering IPS license spares

separately at a later date.

Note: If IPS is desired, start by ordering the above SKUs, and add I/O, redundant power supplies

options as necessary.

I/O + Redundant Bundles are being introduced for 5525-X, 5545-X, 5555-X
