SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Important: This appliance is not intended for use by persons including children with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliances by a person responsible for their safety.
1. Read these instructions before use.
2. Use the specified power supply.
3. Do not operate the unit with wet hands.
4. This unit is intended for indoor use only.
5. Do not unplug the power supply while machine is running.
6. Use of an extension power cord is not recommended.
7. Do not insert fingers or other objects into the unit.
8. In case of bad smell from the unit, turn off and then switch off power supply.
9. Do not cover the air outlet or air inlet.
10. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly
qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
11. The appliance must not be located immediately below an electrical socket.
12. Do not use this appliance in the immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower or swimming pool.
13. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
14. Do not operate the unit near flammable or explosive gas.
15. Keep the unit at least 1 meter away from TV or Radio equipment as it may cause interference.
16. Do not unplug the unit by pulling on the power cord.
17. Empty water tank and unplug the power before putting unit in storage.
18. Do not immerse the unit in water or chemical solvents.
19. Turn off machine, unplug the power, and then use dry cloth for cleaning.
20. Do not shake or move the unit when it is in use.
21. Do not insert any object, spray insecticide or chemical solvent on the unit.
22. Disconnect power supply if the unit will not be used for long time.

Operating Instructions
Ensure that the voltage in your home matches the voltage on the rating plate before using the unit.
Plug the air cooler into an electrical socket and turn on.
Timer
Set the timer control dial to the desired running time by rotating it clockwise. The unit can be set to run from 0
to 120 minutes. When the timer reaches 0 the unit will turn off.
Cool
• Ensure the drain plug is securely in place
• Fill the water tank with cold clean water to the MAX level.
• Press the COOL button. This will cause the pump to draw water from the tank to the cooling pads.
Freezer packs (not supplied)
Freezer packs can be used to increase the cooling level. Place freezer packs in the freezer overnight before
using. Place the packs into the water tank before filling the tank with water to avoid the water rising above
the MAX water fill level indicator.
Once the freezer packs have melted you can add ice for increased cooling.
WARNING:
• Ice packs contain chemicals. DO NOT REMOVE CAPS AND EMPTY CONTENTS OF THE
FREEZER PACKS.
• DO NOT INGEST THE CONTENTS OF THE FREEZER PACKS.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the freezer packs. When
not in use, store it safely.
• If your freezer packs leak do not pour contents down a sink. Soak up as much as possible with a
cloth and transfer cloth and freezer pack into a rubbish bin. Let floor dry and then vacuum up the
residue dust.
• Avoid contact with skin and eyes. If chemical comes into contact with skin, wash hands thoroughly. If
chemical comes into contact with eyes, rinse well and seek medical advice.
Warning:
Do not move the unit when it is in operation as water could spill on to the motor or electrical
components which may damage the unit and cause a hazard.
Oscillation
Press the OSC key once to turn on the oscillation and air will oscillate horizontally. To stop press
the STOP button.
The fan has 3 speed settings which can be changed by pressing either the LO, MI or HI.
Humidifier
This unit will only operate as a humidifier in rooms with a high ambient temperature. Use water at
room temperature and do not add ice to the water tank.

Cleaning and Maintenance
Cleaning and Replacing the filter
The filter should come fitted already into the unit when you receive your air cooler. The filter will need to be
cleaned regularly to keep the unit running at its best performance.
To remove and clean the filter:
1. Switch off the unit and unplug from the power supply.
2. Press down the clips at the top of the filter frame and remove from the main unit.
3. Take the filter out of the filter frame.
4. Gently shake the filter to remove any loose dirt. If the filter is very dirty, then the filter can be washed
in a mild detergent. Rinse the filter in clean water to remove any detergent residue.
5. Allow the filter to dry.
6. Replace the clean filter back into the filter frame and then place the filter frame back on to the unit.
Note: The filter should be changed once a year. If the filter becomes damaged, then it should be changed
immediately.
Maintenance
• Before cleaning the cooler turn off and unplug from the power supply.
• Do not allow water to sit in the tank for prolonged periods of time or while unit is being stored.
• Empty the water tank before storing the unit away for long periods of time and allow it to dry before
storing it in original packaging.
• Remove the water tank from unit and clean with water and dry with a soft cloth.
• To clean the air cooler use a soft cloth to wipe off any dust. If the unit is very dirty use a damp cloth
and wipe dry.

Do not use any cleaning detergents, sprays or other chemicals, as they will damage the unit.

Disposal Information
Disposal of old electrical appliances
The European Directive 2002/96/EC on Waste Electrical and
Electronic Equipment (WEEE), requires that old household electrical appliances must not be disposed of in
normal unsorted municipal waste. Old appliances must be collected separately in order to optimise the
recovery and recycling of the materials they contain and reduce the impact on human health and
the environment. The crossed out “wheeled bin” symbol on the product reminds you of your
obligation, that when you dispose of the appliance it must be separately collected. Consumers
should contact their local authority or retailer for information concerning the correct disposal of
their old appliance.
