• Socket Wrench
• Flexco® #1 Punch
• Flexco® Silicone Spray
• Guillotine cutter or knife
1. Use guillotine-type cutter or knife to cut cleat to desired length. Flexco Silicone Lubricant applied
to blade makes cutting easier.
2. Mark off the belt with desired spacing between cleats.
3. Place the working face of the cleat on this line in desired direction of belt travel.
4. Place belt punch between guide lines where holes are desired. Punch holes through cleat and
belt simultaneously.
5. Push elevator bolt up through hole in belt and cleat. Drop on at washer and hex nut. Tighten nut
until cleat is seated rmly. If bolts are too long, break off excess with Flexco #110 Bolt Breaker.
NOTE: Special ECFT fastener available for applications where bruising of product is critical.
