PRODUCT PRESENTATION1
The Weye Feye is an innovative camera remote that
enables a wireless control of a DSLR camera via
a smartphone/tablet application. The Weye Feye
generates its own WiFi network and connects to the
your camera via a USB port. It is compatible with
most of the Nikon and Canon DSLR cameras. The
Weye Feye App is available as a free download for
Android and iOS. The high-performance central
processing unit and long-life battery ensure its self-
sufcient operation. The LiveView function and the
built- in web server allow you to transfer images
them to your mobile device and share them instantly.

A. POWER BUTTON
Press and hold to turn the Weye Feye on or off. Press
the power button briey to check the battery status
on the LED.
C. SYSTEM RESET BUTTON
Press and hold for 3-5 seconds to reset the Weye
Feye in case of malfunction.
Green ashing LED: boot-up stage
Green static LED: the connection with the
camera is complete
Green static LED: full charge
Orange static LED: 40% power
Red ashing LED: 20% power

CONNECTING THE WEYE FEYE
AND YOUR CAMERA
Please use the USB cable of your DSLR to connect
the Weye Feye to your camera. (Do not use the
cable included in the package, it is for charge
only.)
CHARGING THE WEYE FEYE
The device can only be charged from a USB port.
Please use the USB to Micro-USB cable provided
with the Weye Feye to charge it. It takes about 4
hours for a full charge.
Red ashing LED: 0-25% power
Orange ashing LED: 25%-50% power
Blue ashing LED: 50%-75% power
Green ashing LED: 75%-100% power
Green static LED: the charge is complete.
Red ashing LED when the Weye Feye
is not in charge: the battery is empty. The
Weye Feye will automatically shutdown if
not plugged for charge.

CONNECTION TO THE WIFI SIGNAL 3
Go to the WiFi Settings menu of your iOS or
Android device to connect to the Weye Feye’s WiFi
network.
From the Weye Feye app, click on the top right
corner, “Settings,” to verify your connectivity with
WeyeFeye92xxxx. The network generated by the
Weye Feye will be automatically ltered out.
Once connected, please plug your DSLR cable
to the WeyeFeye and click on the central
button of the WeyeFeye app to connect your
camera to WeyeFeye.
If the camera is connected to the Weye Feye’s
network, the camera model name is displayed.

Select “About” in the Settings section to access the
MAC address for the identication of your device.
Please indicate the MAC address on the warranty
card.

This equipment has been tested and found to
comply with the limits for a Class B digital device,
pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits
are designed to provide reasonable protection
against harmful interference in a residential
installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can
radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed
and used in accordance with the instructions, may
cause harmful interference to radio communications.
However, there is no guarantee that interference
will not occur in a particular installation. If this
equipment does cause harmful interference to radio
or television reception, which can be determined
by turning the equipment off and on, the user is
encouraged to try to correct the interference by one
or more of the following measures:
Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
Increase the separation between the equipment
and receiver.
Connect the equipment into an outlet on a
circuit different from that to which the receiver is
connected.

very important!
Plug the USB disk into the Weye Feye and turn
it on. The LED close to the USB port will blink
for about 10 seconds until the device is ready.
HOW TO UPGRADE THE WEYE FEYE
Two attachments:
- The Weye Feye rmware
- The Android App
STEPS:
PREPARE THE USB DISK
Unzip the attached WFPackUpgrade.zip le on a
USB disk, and arrange the folder as on the picture
below.
H drive:
\- WFPackUpgrade
\- upgrade.bin
PREPARE THE WEYE FEYE
Before upgrading the rmware of the Weye Feye,
please fully charge the battery. To make sure the
battery is full, press the button. The LED close to the
button will show the battery status. Green means

With an Android phone, go to the WiFi setting
menu and connect to WeyeFeye91xxxx.
Then, open the Weye Feye App and it should
ask you to start the upgrade process.
Click ‘Upgrade’ to start the upgrade. Please
DO NOT turn off the Weye Feye during the
process.
The upgrade process will last about 1-2
minutes. When nished, please reboot the
Weye Feye.
Restart the App and enjoy using the Weye
Feye!

WiFi CHANNEL TUNING GUIDE FOR
DEMO
SCOPE
This document is used to guide the one who is
going to setup booth on the show. There are many
WiFi signals in the show and in order to have best
performance for live demo, we need to choose best
WiFi signal channel.
PROBLEMS
WiFi signal interference exists and it’s always there.
Signal quality is degraded when there are many WiFi
hotspots in the same area. When there’s interference
the WiFi bandwidth will be reduced greatly. Then if
you are using Weye-Feye, you will nd that the delay
on mobile phone is serious.
SOLUTION
There are 12 channels for WiFi signal. To tune the
WiFi signal, choose the best signal channel for our
product for it to be much less affected by other
hotspots.
STEPS
Go to “Play Store” on Android phone (It used
to be “Android Market”).
Search for “WiFi Analyzer” and install it.
Open this App and
you will nd a chart like
below. It’s the signal
strength of WiFi signal
around you.
You can nd that there are some numbers
under the chart from 0-14. That’s the WiFi
channel.
The higher the parabola is, the stronger the
signal is.
Weye-Feye’s WiFi signal ID named after weye-
feye so you can nd it with purple
parabola in the chart. Here in the chart it is in
Channel 6 (center is on channel 6).
The way we do tuning is to nd out the clean
(weakest signal channel) number
with this analyzer. Here Channel 9 is the best choice.
Power on Weye-Feye.
Connect your cellphone to Weye-Feye’s
hotspot.
Open your browser and key in:
http://192.168.1.2:8080/wpa_ctrl?ch=N
Here N can be 0 to 11. In this case, as we will choose
Channel 9 so we will key in:
http://192.168.1.2:8080/wpa_ctrl?ch=9
Then type enter and wait. WiFi signal will
disappear for a few seconds and
reconnect again.
Please open “WiFi Analyzer” again and check
the WiFi channel, it will be switched
to the channel you typed in.
