Provide step-by-step procedure for the swim ladder

installation.

2. SCOPE

This procedure is limited to the swim ladder

installation on the 130 &150 Super Sport.

install the swim ladder on the

130 &150 Super Sport.

5. TOOLS/EQUIPMENT REQUIRED

5.1. Drill

- Phillips head bit #2

- 3/16” drill bit w/countersink

- ¼ x 20 Tapping bit

5.2. Marine Sealant

5.3. Measuring Tape

5.4. Straight edge

5.5. Pencil

5.6. Hardware Pkg (supplied)

6. SAFETY

6.1. Safety glasses or goggles are recommended.

8. PROCEDURE

8.1. Measure down from the underside of the molded

flat.

8.1.1. Using the pencil, make a horizontal mark

at 8 ¾”.

8.2. Hold the straightedge firmly against the side of the boat.

8.2.1. Measure in 3 ¼” from the straight edge and, using

the pencil, make a vertical mark.

8.3. Using the pencil, make a mark 11 ¼” to the right of

the mark made in step 8.2.1.

8.3.1. Measure down from the underside of the molded

flat.

8.3.2. Using the pencil, make a horizontal mark

at 8 ¾”.

8.4. While holding the swim ladder against

the transom at the marks made in the

previous steps, use the pencil to mark the

transom through the holes (4) in both the left

and right brackets.

8.5. Using the 3/16” drill bit w/countersink, drill and slightly

countersink at each of the marks made in step 8.4.

NOTICE

Assure that the countersink is wider than the

screw threads to prevent gelcoat cracks.

8.6. Using the drill with the ¼ x 20 tapping bit, tap

each of the holes drilled in the previous step.

NOTICE

Be sure to keep the tap bit perpendicular to

the surface of the transom.

8.7. Apply marine sealant to each of the screw holes

as well as the vertical area between the holes.

8.8. Using the 1/4-20 x 1.5” Machine screws

w/lockwashers included in your hardware

pack, securely attach the swim ladder to

the transom.

NOTICE

Seat all four (4) screws before you

tighten them all down.

Extra hardware is provided, DO

NOT USE DEFORMED OR

DAMAGED HARDWARE.

8.9. Using a soft, clean cloth and soapy water, clean up any

remaining sealant.
