settings are according to recommended Set-up
Data. Contact an Öhlins dealer if you have any
questions about setting up the shock absorber.

contents of the kit. If anything is missing, please
contact an Öhlins dealer.

Before installing this product, read this mounting
instruction carefully. The shock absorber is an
important part of your vehicle and will affect the
stability of your vehicle.
Note!
This kit fits all Öhlins TTX44 MX/Enduro shock
absorbers, except HO1194 Honda CRF450R.
When used on HO1193 Honda CRF250R; use
Spring clip 15629-04. Please note that this part
number must be ordered separately.

How to Install How to install

Before changing spring measure the ride
height (R1-R3) with the original spring
installed. Note the measures, See figure 1.

Remove the shock absorber.

Measure the spring length when the spring
is installed on the shock absorber. Note the
measure, See figure 3.

Remove the spring, measure the spring free
length. Note the spring preload;
A - B = spring preload.

Mount the spring (15021-xx), sleeve
(05281-08) and spring (06320-xx/06330-
xx). Measure the spring free length before
mounting the spring clip.
Note!
The spring platform and spring are press fitted.
Push hard to install the spring.

Mount the spring clip.

Adjust the preload to (A-B) +4mm (in step 4).
Example;
If the measured preload was 8mm. Start
with 12mm (4+6mm) spring preload for the
DSK-kit.

Mount the shock absorber on the bike. Adjust
the preload to achieve the same ride height
(R1-R3) as measured in step 1.

Check the cross over dimension (XO).
See figure 5
Recommended; 4-6mm, it is very important
that the XO dimension is between 4-6mm.
To adjust, remove the shock absorber
and adjust the XO with the supplied
washers(00543-02).

Mount the shock absorber and check R1-R3
position.

Measure the XO.
If R1-R3 is the same as in step 1 and the XO
is 4-6mm; go for a test ride.
If not, repeat step 9.
Note!
Tighten the screw on the spring platform clamp
before riding the motorcycle.

Cross-over dimension shall
always be measure with the
shock absorber unloaded,
either with the rear wheel
off the ground or the shock
absorber off the bike.
