SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS
Please read the instructions given in this booklet; they provide some important in-
formation concerning the safe installation, use and servicing of this product, as well as
some advice on how to get the best from your oven. Keep this document in a safe place
for future reference.
If these instructions are not followed correctly we cannot be held responsible
for any problems which may arise.
Your oven should be installed and connected to the electricity supply by an approved
installer or similar qualified technician.
You should not make any modifications to the oven whatsoever.
For greater safety Rosieres has equipped your ROSIS oven with a Cool Touch Door
that has an exterior temperature of less than 45 degrees C, particularly important if
young children are present. However as it is normal for the oven to become fairly hot
during operation we recommend that young children be kept away from it while it is in
use.
Before operating the pyrolyser cycle, it is much important to remove any of the larger
quantities of grease. Too many large greasy deposits could catch fire under the effect
of the high heat pyrolyser cycle.
Use oven gloves when putting dishes into a hot oven or when removing them.
Never use a steam or high pressure device to clean the oven.
If the oven shows signs of even the slightest defect disconnect it immediately from
the power supply and contact an approved Rosieres Service engineer.
Do not store flammable items in the oven ; they can ignite if the oven is switched on
accidentally.
Do not put undue weight on the oven door like allowing children to sit on it.
4
GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS
After each use, it is recommended that the oven should be given a quick clean.
To avoid any unnecessary oven soiling or the production of excessive smoke we
recommend that the oven not be used at too high a temperature. It is far better to
extend the cooking time while lowering the oven temperature.
In addition to the accessories supplied with the oven, we recommend that you only
use dishes, which are specifically made for oven use.
Do not line the walls of the oven with the aluminium foil as direct contact can melt the
foil and damage the oven enamel.

OVEN EQUIPMENT
Standard shelf suitable for baking trays and dishes.
The tray holding shelf, especially good for grilling,
use in conjunction with the drip tray.
The drip tray collects any juices from foodstuffs
during grilling. It can be placed directly on the shelf, fixed
onto the shelf by the guide rails or placed at the bottom
of the oven.
Never use the drip tray as a roasting tray as fat deposits
can be quickly spread throughout the oven, which
produces excess smoke.
The shelves have been specially designed so that they
do not tilt even when pulled out to their maximum extent,
so avoiding the risk of spillage.
Slide the baking tray into the grooves positioned on
each side of the oven. Use this tray for small pastries,
biscuits or meringues.
The grill pan can be used for all types of grilling and
is also suitable for toasting. The grill pan is supplied with
a detachable handle, do not store the handle inside the
oven.
The rotisserie consists of one skewer, two forks and
a holding frame. When the rotisserie is engaged in the
drive device it automatically rotates the food.
Oven lighting :
• By turning to the symbol shown you can switch on the
oven light even when it is not in use
..................................
• When the oven is in use, with the exception of the
pyrolyse cycle, the light stays alight during all the oven
functions and when opening the door.
Before switching the oven on you should remove any unnecessary accessories.

ADVICE BEFORE USING THE OVEN FOR THE FIRST TIME
PREPARATORY CLEANING
. Clean the oven before using for the first time.
Wipe over external surfaces with a damp cloth.
Wash all accessories and wipe inside the oven with a solution of hot water and
washing up liquid.
Set the empty oven to the maximum temperature and leave on for about 1 hour,
this will remove any lingering smells of newness. Ensure that the room is well
ventilated while this is being done.
THINGS TO REMEMBER
Confirmation of operation : this occurs automatically after three seconds.
For all operations linked to the programmer - cooking time, end-of-cooking time, timer
and clock - confirmation can be cancelled by turning the programmer knob to "".
Stopping the oven : this may be necessary if you have input an incorrect instruction.
Switch off and restart.
. To stop the oven,
Put the function selector knob to "" (stop).
Cooking and end-of-cooking time display : if you have not pre-selected a cooking
method with the programmer knob you cannot display a cooking or end of cooking time.
"Child safety" device : select the child safety device to lock the oven controls. Refer
to the section entitled "Locking the oven control panel" on page "32".
Fan cooking option : hot air is continually circulated throughout the oven ; it only
stops when the door is opened.
The cooling fan : this protects the control panel and electronics from heat damage.
It begins when the cooking cycle starts and then stops automatically when the oven
temperature at the centre of the oven is just lower than 160 degrees C. It is for this
reason that the fan continues to rotate for a few minutes after the oven has been switched
off.
8
CLOCK SETTING
When the oven is connected to the electricity supply, the programmer clock display
will flash "12 : 00".
. To set the clock :
Turn the programmer knob to the symbol :
Set the correct time, use the "+" and "-" buttons.
After three seconds, the time will automatically be set:
Return the programmer knob to the "" position.
The symbol will disappear from the display.
Note :
• To set the clock, the function selector knob must be at the "stop" position.
• Holding the "-" or "+" setting buttons in, speeds the scrolling of hours or
minutes.

3 OVEN MODES
"MANUAL" mode :
this gives direct access to the "cooking" functions
illustrated by the various symbols surrounding
the control knob.
The oven allows you to choose from 12 cooking
functions, including 3 double functions.
For each of these functions, a cooking
temperatureis pre-set. However, this can be altered
within a predetermined range except for the keep
warm,defrost and pyrolyse functions.
THE OVEN MODES
"PYRO" mode :
The oven takes care of the entire inside
oven cleaning. Two choices are
available: an ECO cycle, for normal
staining, and a SUPER cycle for when
the oven is very dirty.
"AUTO" Automatic Mode :
The oven sets the most

THE COOKING METHODS
• CONVENTIONAL COOKING
Both top and bottom heating elements are in use. Preheat the oven for about 7 minutes.
This method is ideal for all traditional roasting and baking. When cooking red meat, roast
beef, leg of lamb, game, bread or foil wrapped foods place the dish on the middle shelf in
the oven.
• FAN COOKING
Both top and bottom heating elements are used in conjunction with the fan, which circulates
hot air throughout the oven. We recommend this method for poultry, pastries, fish and
vegetables. By using this method better heat penetration is achieved and cooking and
preheating times are also reduced. The fan cooking option allows you to cook different
foods together at different positions in the oven all at the same time, providing even heat
distribution but without the risk of mingling tastes and smells. When cooking different
foods at the same time allow a further 10 minutes.
• FAN AND LOWER ELEMENT
The combination of the bottom heating element and fan is ideal for fruit flans, tarts, quiches
and pastries. It prevents food from becoming too dry and encourages bread dough to rise.
Place the shelf in the bottom position in the oven.
KEEP WARM
The top and bottom elements are used intermittently with the fan circulating the hot air
inside the oven. The temperature is pre-set to a constant 60 degrees C (no adjustment
available). Ideal for keeping dishes hot without over cooking, suitable for meringues and
plate warming.
DEFROST
The top and bottom elements are used intermittently with the fan circulating the hot air
inside the oven. The temperature is pre-set to constant 40 degrees C (no adjustment is
available). Wrap the food to be defrosted in aluminium foil, shiny side out.
GRILL : depending upon the type of dish being cooked grill with the door open
or partially closed.
The temperature of the grill can be adjusted to suit the food being cooked. For mixed grills,
kebabs and gratin dishes the grill should be pre-heated to a high temperature for 5 minutes;
while white meats should always be placed at some distance from the grill element, the
cooking time is slightly longer but the meat will be more succulent. Red meat and fish
fillets can be placed directly onto the shelf with the drip tray placed beneath on lower shelf
position.
12
THE COOKING METHODS
• Fan assisted grilling : cooking with the door closed.
The top heating element is used in conjunction with the fan which circulates the hot air
around the oven. Pre heating is recommended for red meats but is not necessary for white
meats. Grilling is ideal for cooking thicker food items such as pork or poultry. Food to be
grilled should be placed directly at the centre of the middle shelf. By sliding the drip tray
underneath the shelf it will ensure that any juices are collected. For best results always
make sure that the food is not too close to the grill element and turn the food over half way
through the cooking time.
Rotisserie : Cooking with the door closed.
During this phase both the top oven element and rotisserie are in use but the temperature
can be adjusted to suit the recipe. The rotisserie is best for medium sized pieces of meat.
To cook larger joints of meat turn the oven to the turbo grill position. The rotisserie is
programmed to continue rotating for approximately five minutes after cooking, making full
use of the residual oven heat. No pre-heating is required for rotisserie cooking.
Rotisserie and Fan cooking : cooking with the door closed.
The advantage of using the top oven element at the same time as the fan and rotisserie is
that the food is evenly cooked, preventing it from becoming dry and tasteless.
DF1 : Defrost and Fan cooking (page 19) : it is the benefit of combining two
cooking methods.
A pre set 30 minute defrosting programme at a temperature at 40 degrees is immediately
followed by a 45 minute fan cooking programme at 210 degrees C.
The defrost cycle cannot be altered, however, temperature and cooking times can be
changed depending on the type and weight of the food to be cooked. To alter the
predetermined programmes please refer to page 19.
DF2 : Fan cooking and Keep warm function (page 20) :
DF2 combines two cooking methods. A pre set 210 degrees C fan cooking programme of
45 minutes is immediately followed by a 60 degrees C keep warm cycle.
DF3 : Personal programme : DF1 or DF2 (see definitions above) is saved with
different data from that already programmed.
13
The oven automatically displays a temperature of 200°C when fan cooking is selected. If
you change the temperature the oven selects the most suitable cooking method.
. minimum to 135°C : Fan cooking
. 140°C to 175°C : Fan + Lower element
. 180°C to 225°C : Fan cooking
. 230°C to 275°C : Conventional cooking
The display clearly shows the temperature, which can be adjusted by 5°C increments.
When the oven is preheating the LED "thermometer" symbol gradually illuminated.
When the correct temperature is reached, an audible alarm rings for a few seconds.
USING THE AUTOMATIC COOKING MODE
the oven is on standby.

"MANUAL" COOKING MODE
The oven operates in manual mode when you select the cooking method and the
cooking temperature required.
12 cooking methods are offered, each has a different heat and programme type which
delivers the best results.
The oven has a pre-recorded set cooking temperature for each method. However, you
can alter the temperature for most cooking methods within a set range see details
below.
Only two methods have fixed temperatures, "Keep warm" and "Defrost".
The reason for this is that the keep warm function utilises a temperature of 60°C which
is required for keeping food nor any higher and overcooking would occur. The defrost
facility requires a temperature of 40 degrees C which is necessary for achieving fast
defrosting without cooking.
