Thank you for purchasing ACTi Standalone TV Wall Server. This guide
contains all the information you need to quickly set up the TV Wall system via
local display interface.
For detailed instructions on installation and operation, please search for the
product manuals on http://www.acti.com/downloadcenter.

The example below displays a local network consisting of the TVW, network
cameras and basic required peripherals to start using the device.

NOTE: To assign a static IP address to the TV Wall server, after entering Windows operating
system,congurethenetworksettingsinWindows Network and Sharing Center.

3. On Windows login screen, follow the on-screen
instructions to setup your login password.
This will be used in succeeding Windows login. It is strongly
recommended not to leave the password blank.

First thing to do is to register the TV Wall Server license either by Online
Registration or Ofine Registration.
Online Registration
Use Online Registration if the TV Wall server has Internet access.
1. Membership ID in ACTi Member Center is required for activation. If you do
not have an account yet, Register one for free at https://member.acti.com/
login.

REGISTER LICENSE
2. On the Windows Notications Panel, double-click the icon to bring
up the TV Wall Administrator Tool.
3. Click Register.

4. Select Online Registration.
5. Select the MAC Address then
lluptheLicense Key, ACTi
Account, and Password.
6. Click Apply to complete.
Ofine Registratioin
Use Ofine Registration if the TV Wall server is in a network but not
connected to public Internet.
Youneedtogetanactivationlefromanothercomputerandtransferittothe
TVWallserver.Butrst,takenoteoftheMACaddressofTVWallserver.

2. Access https://www2.acti.com/support/LicenseMgt/TVW_registration.asp.
3. Enter the License Key and the MAC address of TV Wall server, then click
Submit.
4. Anemailwiththeactivationcodele(*.lic)willbesenttotheregistered
emailaddress.SavethisletoaUSBDisk.
5. On the TV Wall server

Panel, double-click the
icon to bring up the TV Wall
Administrator Tool.
6. Choose Ofine Registration.
Click Import and upload the
licensele(*.lic).
7. Click Apply to activate the
license.

START TV WALL SERVICE
After successfully registering the TV Wall Server, the status shows that the
service is RUNNING.
To start viewing monitor clients, click the Settings page tab. Then, click Start
Up.
Bring Up the Views
To manage and bring up the
views at anytime, right click
the TV Wall Server icon
from the Windows Status
Bar then click Start Up

NOTE: Ensure the CMS server has been updated to the latest version.
1. On the CMS server, go to Setup page > TV Wall, then click Add TV Wall.
2. Input the Name of the TV Wall Server and its connection properties: Host
IP address, Port, Account and Password.
3. Click “Apply”to save this server.
The CMS server will detect the display arrangement. If you apply new display
settings on the TV Wall server later, CMS will be synchronized simulataneously.

CREATE TV WALL VIEWS
To start real-time handling of the TV Wall monitors via CMS interface, create a
view on the CMS Live View screen which will act as a deck dedicated as the TV
Wall Controller.
1. On the CMS, click on the View ToolbarandllintheView properties.
It is recommended to name this View as “TV Wall Controller” and create a
new View group.
2. Highlight this View, select a layout and click to enter the View Edit
mode.
3. On a blank channel window, click Create TV Wall Controller.

4. As the channel window shows the TV Wall Controller background, click
to save the View.
5. Scroll the left-panel menu towards TV Wall and drag the TV Wall server
source onto the TV Wall Controller view. You may drag multiple TV wall
servers here as you want.
6. The TV Wall View appears, drag the bottom-right corner to adjust the
dimensions. Click to save this TV Wall View.

ASSIGN VIEWS TO MONITORS
To assign a camera device to the view, simply drag a camera channel to the
grid on the the TV Wall View. Continue to drag another camera to the view. The
TV Wall Monitor(s) will immediately display the camera views.
Or, you may select a live channel on the CMS Live view interface, right-click
“Send to TV Wall” to send the live stream of that channel to the TV wall.

When you click on a TV Wall source, the Controller Toolbar on top of the
window becomes enabled. Use the toolbar to manage the TV Wall Views.
View Mode: Toggle between Viewer Mode and Screen Mode.
Select TV Wall View: Use this drop-down box to select and change from one view set to
another.YouneedtocreateTVWallViewsetrst.
View Manager: Allows you to manage the TV Wall view sets, such as rename or delete.
View Patrol:Allowsyoutocreateandcongurepatrolfunctions.Whenactivated,allows
theTVWallviewstochangeinsequencefromoneviewsettoanothereveryspecied
period of time.
Create View: Click to create a new TV Wall View set.
Save View: Click to save the view.
Clear Content: Click to clear the assigned cameras to the TV Wall view.
Reset Position: Click to move the TV Wall view set to its default position and dimensions
on the CMS interface.
Playback Control: Click to display the Playback Control toolbar on the TV Wall Controller
window. Click a channel from the view to view it on playback mode. All controls like play,
pause, forward, rewind or go to schedule etc. are done on the CMS interface while the
video playback actually occurs on the TV monitors.
