The lighting flash with arrowhead symbol within an equilateral triangle is
intended to alert the user to the presence of uninsulated dangerous voltage.
Within the product's enclosure, there may be full of sufficient magnitude to

user to the presence of important operating and maintenance (servicing)
instructions in the literature accompanying the appliance.

LASER SAFETY
This set employs an optical laser beam system in the CD mechanism designed
with built-in safeguards. Do not attempt to disassemble. Exposure to this
invisible laser light beam may be harmful to the human eye. This is a Class-1
laser product. Use of controls, adjustments or procedures other than those
specified herein may result in hazardous laser light beam exposure. This
compact disc player should not be adjusted or repaired by anyone except
qualified service personnel. The laser mechanism in the set corresponds to the
stylus (needle) of a record player. Although this product uses a laser pick-up
lens, it is completely safe when operated according to directions.

- TO PROLONG USE TIME, PLEASE MAKE SURE THE INTERVAL OF SWITCHING ON AND
OFF IS NOT LESS THAN 5 SECONDS.

GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACE SCREEN
Simply by pressing the OSD button on the remote control, information on the player and disc
can be displayed on the screen for easy identification, the player's operations and settings can
be performed by operating the remote control while monitoring screen.
MULTI-AUDIO FUNCTION
The audio soundtrack can be heard in up to 8 languages. (The number of audio sound
languages depends on the software and the transmission.)
MULTI-SUBTITLES FUNCTION
Subtitles may be displayed in one of a maximum of 32 languages depending on the software.
PARENTAL LOCK FUNCTION
This prevents children from playing unsuitable channels.

REMOTE CONTROL
1. STANDBY-To set the unit in standby mode or switch the unit on.
2. USB/CARD/DVD BUTTON-To switch the mode from
USB/CARD/DISC mode.
3. NUMERIC BUTTONS-To input the numeric information,
such as channel number and so on.
4. 10+ BUTTON-Program and numeric button.
5. FF button-Press this button to play the disc forward at
speeds: x2,x4,x8,x20 (in DVD mode).
6. FR button-Press this button to play the disc backward at
speeds:x2,x4,x8,x20 (in DVD mode).
7. TITLE button-Press this button to return to title menu (for
DVD).
8. AUDIO-To select the audio mode (in DVD mode).
9. DVD MENU button-Press this button to enter DVD main
menu (in DVD mode).
10. SUBTITLE button-Press this button to change and play
subtitle language (for DVD only).
11. TV MENU button-Press this button to enter TV main
menu (in TV mode).
12. CC-To set the caption mode (in TV mode).
13. EPG-Display the program information of current day or
latter days (in TV Mode).
14. EXIT-To exit the menu page (in TV mode).
15. INFO-To display current program information, such as
channel number, soundtrack mode, subtitle language and so on (in TV mode).
16. CH+-To select next channel (in TV mode).
17. CH--To select previous channel (in TV mode).
18. SWITCH button-To switch the mode among TV/DVD/AV IN mode.
19. N/P button-Press this button to select NTSC or PAL system (for DVD only).
20. OSD button-Press OSD button continuously during playback, the screen will display the
playing information, such as elapsed time, remaining time and so on (in DVD mode).
21. GO TO button-Press this button to set the player to play disc starting at a certain point.
22. STOP button-Press this button to halt playing.

24. PREV button-Press this button to play the previous chapter (for DVD) or track (for CD).

26. A-B button-Press this button to repeat playing sections between two specific points (A-B).
27. REPEAT button-Press this button to repeat playing one chapter or one title or a whole disc
(for DVD) or repeat playing the current track or the whole tracks (for CD).
28. ZOOM button-Press this button to enlarge picture size, max. to X 4 or to shrink picture size,
min. to X1/4.
29. PROGRAM button-Press this button to setup the memory order of chapter or title (for DVD)
or tracks (for CD).
30. SETUP button-Press this button to enter initial settings menu (in DVD mode).
31. OK button-Press this button to confirm what you have selected.
32. Navigation buttons-Press this button to move up, down, left or right.
33. MUTE-To mute the sound.
34. VOLUME- button-Press this button to decrease the volume.
35. VOLUME+ button-Press this button to increase the volume.
BASIC CONNECTION
z Ensure all the cables are disconnected from the main unit before connecting to AC power
source by AC power adaptor.
z Read through the instructions before connecting other equipment.

Rechargeable Battery Use
The player is with a built-in rechargeable battery.
1. Charge the battery
- Connect the adaptor to the DC 9-12V IN jack, then set the unit in POWER ON mode (THE
PLAYING MODE) for fully charge.
- Set in POWER ON mode but press the STANDBY button (THE STANDBY MODE) or set in
POWER OFF mode for fully charge.
The indicator is red during charging; it gets green when charging is completed.
2. Time to recharge the battery
Recharge and playback time depends on battery pack capacity and the temperature condition.
Generally speaking, the battery needs to be charged about 5 hours in POWER OFF mode and
about 7 hours in POWER ON mode.
3. Using and Maintaining Rechargeable Battery
- The normal working condition temperature is: 0 ~ 45°C
- Always unplug AC/DC power supply for the unit whenever not playing.
NOTE: A new battery pack which has not been used or one which has not been used for more
than a month, may appear to be not recharged enough, this is due to the characteristic of this
battery and is not a malfunction. In this case, recharge it two or three times before the first use
and it needs more than 8 hours to recharge battery. Noises may be generated during
recharging. In this case, use a more distant power socket. Do not recharge or discharge battery
near a heating element such as a heater or direct sunlight.
2. CONNECT EXTERNAL ANTENNA TO UNIT
Install external antenna into antenna jack for best picture.
Ensure that this player and other equipment to be connected are set to the standby mode or off
and disconnect the AC adaptor before commencing connection.
Do not block ventilation holes of equipment and arrange them so that air can circulate freely.
Read through the instructions before connecting other equipment.
Ensure that you observe the color coding when connecting audio and video cables.
Note:
During DVD play, the TV volume may be at a lower level than during TV broadcasts, etc.
If this is the case, adjust the volume to the desired level. If the DVD/CD player is connected to
the TV through a video cassette recorder, the picture may not be played back normally as some
DVDs. If this is the case, do not connect the player via the VCR.

1. Connect the headphone.
Adjust the volume to minimize the volume by your remote control.
Connect the headphone to phone jack.

REMOTE CONTROL PREPARATION
BATTERY INSTALLATION
Install the battery as the follow picture. Be sure negative and positive terminals are positioned
as indicated in the battery compartment. (Fig1)
SERVICE LIFE OF BATTERY
- The battery normally last for about one year although this depends on how often remote
control is used.
- If the remote control fails to work even when it is operated near the player, replace the battery.
- Use one size CR2025 battery.
Note:
z Do not drop, or step on the remote control. This may damage the parts or lead to
malfunction.
z If the remote control is not going to be used for a long time, remove the battery.
REMOTE CONTROL OPERATION
Point the remote control from no more
than about 6 m from the remote control
sensor and within about 60o of the front
of the player (Fig2).
NOTE:
- The operating distance may vary
according to the brightness of the room.
- Do not point bright lights at remote
control sensor.
- Do not place objects between the
remote control and the remote control sensor.
- Do not use this remote control while
simultaneously operating the remote
control of any other equipment.

MAKE SURE ALL THE EQUIPMENTS AND AC ADAPTOR ARE CONNECTED PROPERLY
AND THE UNIT IS SET IN CORRECT MODE BEFORE BEING OPERATED. (THE DEFAULT
SETTING ON THE UNIT IS TV MODE)
OPERATIONS
Press SWITCH button to switch the mode in DVD mode.
1. Basic play
1. Press the “PUSH” to open the disc cover.
2. Place a disc onto the disc compartment. Hold the disc without touching either of its surfaces,
position it with the printed title side facing up, align it with the guides, and place it in its proper
position.
3. Close the disc cover, after closing the disc cover, play begins. The player starts to read the
disc immediately.
4. When a menu screen appears on the TV, move the navigation buttons or press the numeric
buttons to select preferred track number, then press OK button to confirm.
5. To stop play and return to the menu/title screen, press TITLE button, or MENU button.
2. Stopping play
Press the STOP button to stop playing a disc.
NOTE: When player is stopped, the player memorizes the point where STOP was pressed
(RESUME function). Press PLAY again, playback will resume from this point. When the tray is
opened or STOP is pressed again, the RESUME function will be cleared (only for DVD disc).

3. Skipping ahead or back
Skipping ahead
Press NEXT button during play a chapter
(DVD) or a track (CD) is skipped each time
the button is pressed.
Skipping back
Press PREV button during play a chapter
(DVD) or a track (CD) is skipped each time
the button is pressed.
4. Rapid advance and Rapid reverse
During playback, press FF button
or FR
button to fast forward/rewind.
Press PLAY button to resume normal play.
5.Pause or play
During playback, press PLAY/PAUSE button,
the play will be paused, To resume normal play,
press PLAY button.
6. MP3 playback
1. Insert the disc containing the files in Mp3
format to be played and after a few seconds,
the screen of the monitor will show all the
folders on the disc on the left side of the screen:
2. Select the folder you want to play by the
navigation buttons and press the OK
button to confirm.
3. The files in this folder are displayed on the
right side of the screen and select the desired
song by navigation buttons, then press the
PLAY button to start playback.
4. Press REPEAT button to change play mode.
- REPEAT 1: repeat one file.
- REPEAT DIR: all the files in the folder will be played repeatedly.
- REPEAT ALL: repeat all tracks on the disc.
- REPEAT OFF: Cancel the repeat play mode.
7. MPEG4 playback
1. Insert the disc containing the files in MPEG4
format to be played and after a few seconds,
the screen of the monitor will show all the
folders on the disc on the left side of the screen:
2. Select the folder you want to play by the
navigation buttons and press the OK button
to confirm.
3. The files in this folder are displayed on the
right side of the screen and select the desired
file by navigation buttons, then press the
PLAY button to start playback.

4. Press NEXT or PREV button, the player will play the next or previous file.
5. Press REPEAT button to change play mode.
- REPEAT 1: repeat one file.
- REPEAT DIR: all the files in the folder will be played repeatedly.
- REPEAT ALL: repeat all tracks on the disc.
- REPEAT OFF: Cancel the repeat play mode.
8. JPEG
For JPEG picture CD, select the folder you
want to play by the navigation buttons and
press OK button to confirm.
The files in this folder are displayed and
select your pictures by using the up/down
navigation buttons and press OK button to
start playback. Thumbnail of picture will be
displayed while you scrolling across the file
name.
Once a folder and file is selected, the picture is loaded onto the screen.
NOTE: The time to load and display picture depends on the file size of the pictures.
During playback, press STOP button to enter preview mode.
Press REPEAT button to change play mode:
- REPEAT 1: repeat one file.
- REPEAT DIR: all the files in the folder will be played repeatedly.
- REPEAT ALL: repeat all tracks on the disc.
- REPEAT OFF: Cancel the repeat play mode.
Skip to next/previous picture
Press NEXT button to skip to the next picture or PREV button to skip to the previous picture.
Press Play button to resume normal play.
Rotating pictures
Press RIGHT navigation button to rotate the picture
clockwise.
Press LEFT navigation button to rotate the picture
counter-clockwise.
Flipping pictures
Press UP navigation button to flip the picture
vertically.
Press DOWN navigation button to flip the picture
horizontally.

Picture Shrink/Zoom
Press ZOOM button to enter the zoom mode
Press FF or FR button to enlarge or shrink
picture to max. to X 4 or to shrink picture size,
min. to X1/4.
If the picture is enlarged, you may press
the navigation buttons to pan across other
portions of the picture.
Slide show effects
Press PROGRAM button to select one of the effects when changing from one picture to
another:
1. WIPE TOP
2. WIPE BOTTOM
3. WIPE LEFT
4. WIPE RIGHT
5. DIAGONAL WIPE LEFT TOP
6. DIAGONAL WIPE RIGHT TOP

9. USB Playback
1. Insert USB containing files in Music, picture or movie
format to be played.
2. Press USB/CARD/DVD button to switch the unit to USB
reader mode via navigation button.
Then the screen will display as picture on the
right:
3. After several seconds, all the folders in the
USB will display on the left side of the screen.
4. Select a folder you want to play using the
navigation buttons and press the OK button to
confirm.

5. The files in this folder are displayed on the right side of the screen and select the desired file
by navigation buttons, then press the OK button to start to play.
6. Press REPEAT button to set repeat playing
mode.
- REPEAT 1: repeat one file.
- REPEAT DIR: all the files in the folder will be played repeatedly.
- REPEAT ALL: all the files on the disc will be played repeatedly.
- REPEAT OFF: no files in the folder will be played repeatedly.
NOTE: The USB slot of this unit can not connect with the removable tray.
10. CARD Playback
1. Insert the CARD(SD/MMC/MS) containing files in DVD/MP4/JPEG CD format to be played.
2. Press USB/CARD/DVD button to switch the unit to CARD reader mode.
3. After several seconds, all the folders in the CARD will display on the left side of the screen..
4. Select a folder you want to play by using the navigation buttons and press the OK button to
confirm.
5. The files in this folder display on the right side of the screen and select the desired file by
navigation buttons, then press the OK button to start playback.
6. Press REPEAT button to change repeat playing mode.
- REPEAT 1: repeat one file.
- REPEAT DIR: all the files in the folder will be played repeatedly.
- REPEAT ALL: all the files on the disc will be played repeatedly.
- REPEAT OFF: no files in the folder will be played repeatedly.
7. Press STOP button when playing picture, then you will enter preview mode.
8. Press right/ left button to rotate the image clockwise/ counter-clockwise during photo
playback.
9. Press up/ down button to flip the image vertically/horizontally during photo playback.
10. Press ZOOM button to enter the zoom mode, max. to X 4 or to shrink picture size, min. to
X1/4.
11. On screen display information
Press OSD button to display playing information.

12. Program play
The player plays the files in desired order.
1. Press PROGRAM button and the screen will
display the program menu.
2. Press navigation buttons to choose memory index
and start input. Enter desired title/chapter
numbers by using the numeric buttons. The
selected titles/chapters are stored into the
memory. Up to 16 memories can be stored.
NOTE: Leading zero is not necessary. If the
track number is more than 10, press the 10+
key
first and then the unit digit.
Example: Track 12, press "10+" and then "2"
Track 21, press "10+" twice and then "1"
3. Select PLAY on the menu and press OK button to start program play or press PROGRAM
button again to exit the program menu.
4. To stop the program, press PROGRAM button to select CLEAR on the menu, then press OK
button to confirm and use PROGRAM button to exit the program menu.
13. Repeat play
Press REPEAT button during play, it will repeat play one chapter or one title or the whole disc
(for DVD disc), or repeat play a track or all tracks (for CD).

A-B repeat play
Repeating sections between two specific points (A-B repeat)
1. Press A-B REPEAT button during play at the point where repeat play is to be started (A).
2. Press A-B REPEAT button at the point where repeat play is to be ended (B). Repeat play of
the selection between points A and B starts.
3. Press A-B REPEAT button once again to return to normal play.
14. GO TO
Press GO TO button, the screen will display a bar, then you can press numeric buttons and
enter a point directly, after input press OK button, the disc will play from the selected point.
Press GO TO button again to exit the menu.

15. Changing subtitle language (DVD only)
It is possible to change the subtitle language to
a different language from the one selected at
the initial settings. (This operation works only
with discs on which multiple subtitle languages
are recorded)
Press SUBTITLE button repeatedly
during play, the subtitle Language changes
with the indication shown on The screen
or turn off the subtitle.
16. ZOOM PLAY
This function allows you to enjoy a motion
picture.
1. Press ZOOM button when playing, the
screen shows as right:

across the enlarged picture.
17.Changing audio soundtrack language (DVD/CD disc)
It is possible to change the audio soundtrack language to a different language from the one
selected at the initial settings (This operation works only with discs on which multiple audio
soundtrack languages are recorded).
1. Press AUDIO button while playing DVD disc to cycle the soundtrack languages available on
the disc.
2. Pressing AUDIO button while playing CD disc will change audio output mode: Mono Left,
Mono Right and Stereo soundtrack.
NOTE: When no soundtrack languages are recorded, pressing this button will not work. When
the power is turned on or the disc is removed.
18. Initial Settings
Once the initial programming is entered it is retained in memory until changed, the player can
always be operated under the same conditions. Common procedure for initial settings
1. Press SETUP button.
2. Use the navigation buttons to select preferred item, each screen for setting the value is
displayed. Then move the navigation button to set the item and press OK button to confirm
the settings.
3. Press SETUP button to close setup menu in any mode.
4. Use left navigation button to switch to another main setup items.

NOTE: Pressing this button will not
function when the option is not available
on the disk.
CHANGING SUBTITLE LANGUAGE

1.1 TV SYSTEM - it is for selecting the TV system according to the colour system of the TV.
Options: PAL
NTSC
AUTO
1.2 SCREEN SAVER - when the player is not in use for 5 minutes, a running DVD logo will
move across the screen to protect the TV panel.
Options: On: Screen saver is enabled
Off: Screen saver is disabled
1.3 TV TYPE - it is for selecting TV output mode.
Options: 4:3 PS: Normal Pan & scan mode
4:3 LB: Normal Letter & box mode
16:9 : 16:9 wide screen mode
1.4 PASSWORD - Input password to unlock the system. The steps are as follows:
1.4.1 Enter SYSTEM SETUP, select the PASSWORD item by scrolling the down navigation
button, and then press the right navigation button to select the input box.
1.4.2 Input user’s password “0000” to unlock it, in this case, select the input box again to
change the password by inputting another new four numeric numbers and then press
ENTER button to confirm. When the password is changed, you are needed to input
the new one to unlock the system.
1.4.3 Once you forget your own password, use the supervisor’s password “8200” to unlock
it.
NOTE: If wrong password was input in unlock status, the system will lock.
1.5 RATING –Set the rating of this player. If you want to change the rating of parental lock,
please input the password to unlock first.
Options:1 KID SAFE / 2 G / 3 PG / 4 PG 13 / 5 PG-R / 6R / 7 NC-17 / 8 ADULT
1.6 DEFAULT - It is used to reset to factory settings.
2. LANGUAGE SETUP
2.1 OSD LANGUAGE - It is used to select different On Screen Display language for different
user.
2.2 AUDIO LANG - Select preferred audio language. (DVD only, need disc software support)
2.3 SUBTITLE LANG - Select preferred subtitle language. (DVD only, need disc software
support)
2.4 MENU LANG - Select preferred disc menu language. (DVD only, need disc software

3.1 BRIGHTNESS - to set the brightness for the display.
Options: 0/2/4/6/8/10/12
3.2 CONTRAST - to set the contrast effect for display.
Options: 0/2/4/6/8/10/12
3.3 HUE - to set the colour impression for display.
Options: -6/-4/-2/0/+2/+4/+6
3.4 SATURATION - to set the saturation level for display.
Options: 0/2/4/6/8/10/12
4. SPEAKER SETUP
4.1 SPEAKER SETUP - it is used to set the speaker Output levels
Options: LT/RT-Left/Right mix mode
STEREO - Select this option if you don't have a 2.1 channel amplifier.
