Hood Description - fig 1
1) Control panel
2) Grease filters
3) Work-lights
Use
The hood may be used as follows:
— Exhausting version
— Recycling version
Exhausting version
The air is vented outdoors by a duct which
must be connected to the connector ring
(See figure “Installation”).
Choosing the exhausting pipe
The connector ring has a diameter of 150mm.
We suggest to use Ø 150 mm exhausting
pipe.
Recycling version
The air is filtered through a carbon filter
(to install them see paragraph - Carbon
filter -) and recirculated into the room
through the grating on the upper chimney
part.
Attention!
If the hood is not supplied with carbon
filter, then it must be ordered and
mounted.
This version is used when there is no exhaust
duct for venting outdoors or when it is
impossible to install one.
Installation
When installed, the hood must be not less
than 65 cm. above electric burners or 75 cm.
above gas or mixed-fuel burners.
Warning!
The hood cannot be connected to flues of
other appliances that run on energy
sources other than electricity.
— When the hood is used at the same time
of other appliances that run on energy
sources other than electricity, provision
must be made for an adequate supply of
air.
No food must be cooked flambé
underneath the hood.
The use of an unprotected flame is
dangerous for the filters and could cause
fires.
Therefore, never use an open flame under
the hood. When frying foods, never leave
the pan alone because the cooking oil
could flare up.
Please, keep to the provisions of official
directives regarding the question of fume
discharge.
— The manufacturers refuse to accept any
responsibility for damage to the hood or
its catching on fire because of failure to
observe the above instructions.
Suggestions for the installation and
use of the hood
— The horizontal sections of the pipe must
be slanted slightly upwards (about 10%)
to ensure an easy flow of the air outwards.
The best performance of the unit is
obtained in the exhausting version,
therefore in the limits of the possibilities it
is advised to use the hood in this version.
The best performances are obtained with
short pipes (max. 4 m) and with few
curves.
Electric connection
Before completing any connection, make
sure the house voltage corresponds with the
voltage indicated on the label affixed inside
the hood.
The hood is supplied with a standard plug;
connect it to a correspondingly standard
socket.
In the case is intended to connect the
appliance permanently to the mains after
having removed the plug supplied, must be
fitted a two-pole switch conforming to
regulations with an opening distance
between contacts of not less than 3mm.
The manufacturers are not liable for any
problems caused by the user’s failure to
observe the above instructions.
10
Mounting the hood - Fig. 6
a. Put the template onto the wall (1) and drill
two Ø12mm (2) and two Ø 8 mm (3)
holes.
b. Fit two hooks (4) on the drilled Ø 12mm
holes.
c. Fit two Ø 8mm wall dowels (5) on the
upper holes.
d. Remove the metal filters
e. Hang the hood on the hooks and adjust
the position of the hood using the two
screws on the bottom of the hooks (6).
f. Fix the hood definitively with two washers
(7) and two screws 5x45 mm (8).
Mounting the duct work
g. Mount the connector ring onto the hole in
the hood with two 3,5x9,5 screws (9a).
h. Fasten the support for the telescopic
chimney (11) with the three screw anchors
(10) and the three 5x45 screws (12).
i. Exhausting version: fasten a ventilation
duct, which is long enough to reach the
outside (13), to the connector ring (9a).
Recirculation version: mount the
deflector onto the telescopic chimney
support with two 2,9x9,5 screws.
Insert the adaptor (9b) into the connector
ring and then connect the hood to the
deflector with the ventilation duct (13).
j. Mount the telescopic chimney (14), fasten
it above with two screws (15), slide the
bottom part of the telescopic chimney
towards the bottom (16) and fasten the
hood in place definitively (17).
Operation
The hood has one variable speed motor. For
the best performance, we recommend using
the low speeds in normal conditions and the
high speeds in particular cases of strong
odour and vapour concentration.
We recommend starting up the hood a few
minutes before cooking and keeping it
running until all the odours have been
eliminated.

D - Intensive speed indicator LED
G - Intensive speed ON switch
This speed should be used when the
concentration of cooking fumes or
odours is particularly strong (for
example when frying, cooking fish
etc.).
The fast speed will run for about 5
minutes and then return to the speed
previously set automatically (1, 2 or
3), or switch off if no speed was
selected. To turn off the fast speed,
before the end of the 5 minutes,
press button A or button B.
H - OFF lamp button
I - ON lamp button
If the hood fails to operate correctly, briefly
disconnect it from the mains power supply
for almost 5 sec. by pulling out the plug.
Then plug it in again and try once more
before contacting the Technical Assistance
Service.

Filter saturation control devices for
grease filters
This hood is supplied with a device that
notifies the user when the grease filter must
be cleaned or the carbon filter replaced (if
installed).
Upon installation, the saturation control
device for the carbon filter is not activated
(the hood is ready for use in vent mode).
In the event, you would like to install a
carbon filter, activate the saturation control
device by pressing the B and G buttons at
the same time for 3 seconds.

Maintenance
Before performing any maintenance
operation, disconnect the hood from the
electricity.
Metal grease filter - Fig. 2
The cooker hood is fitted with metal filters.
Remove the metal filter using the handles
designed for this purpose by pulling them
backwards and then downwards.
The metal grease filter lasts forever and
must be washed either by hand or in the
dishwasher (65°C) with suitable detergents.
The grease filters must be washed at
least once a month.
Before refitting the filter ensure that it is
perfectly dry.
Position of filters is interchangeable.
Carbon filter - Fig. 3
This filter dissolves cooking odours.
The carbon filter must never be washed.
It should be changed every 4 months in
normal use.
Fitting the carbon filter
Fit the carbon filter into its housing, by
pushing it backwards and then forwards
and fixing it with the two red buttons B on
the carbon filter.
Dismounting the carbon filter
To dismount the filter, press the two buttons
B and pull it downwards.

Replacing the lamp - Fig. 4
a) Disconnect the hood from the electricity.
b) Remove the blown halogen light bulb
using a screwdriver.
c) Only ever use halogen light bulbs with a
maximum of 20 W.
d) Fit the new light bulb taking care to ensure
its contacts are correctly fitted in the
connector.
If the lighting fails to work, make sure that the
halogen light bulbs have been fitted correctly
before contacting the technical assistance
service!
Cleaning
To clean the outside of the hood use a cloth
moistened with denatured alcohol or neutral
liquid detergents.
Never use products containing abrasive.
Attention
Failure to observe the rules for cleaning the
appliance and changing and cleaning the
filters may cause fires.
Therefore, we recommend observing these
instructions.
Fastening of shelves (Fig. 5)
Fasten the four side supports I to the adjacent
cabinets and place the shelf on the supports.
