General Information
In order to avoid electrical shock or fire, and other
injuries that may be caused, the following rules should
be kept in mind and strictly adhered to:
The unit power supply and the electric heating power
supply must be equipped with an electric leakage
protection device, and must be connected to the
grounding wire; otherwise, injury or even death and
other accidents may occur if unprotected.
The specification of the power wire shall meet the
requirements, otherwise there may be accidents
related to circuit safety.
Please use a fuse appropriate for the current intensity.
Do not use any temporary substitute, such as a piece
of wire, which not only may damage the unit itself,
but also may cause fire.
Ok!
Using a piece of wire
may cause fire.
In order not to exceed the capacity of the power
meter and the protector, please do not simultaneously
switch on the electric heating for the air conditioner
and the electric heating for the water tank. The use of
all types of electrical appliances shall be coordinated.
Please connect the wires in strict accordance with the
wiring diagrams in this manual. Improper wiring or
artificial change of wiring will result in unit failure and
damage, or endanger personal safety.
The condensate water from the indoor and outdoor
units must be drained according to the requirements.
Improper drainage of the condensate water may lead
to adverse consequences.
Never sit on the direct air duct at any time. Sitting on
the direct air duct is not conducive to your health and
safety.
In order to prevent the relief valve failure due to
calcification, fouling and blockage, the user should
check the valve at least once every month. If the local
water quality is poor, the check interval should be
shortened appropriately. Please promptly replace
the relief valve with a new valve with reliable quality
if blockage, corrosion, manual operation failure or
damage to manual pressure relief handle is found.
A heating device or other heat source shall not
be arranged under or near the air conditioner. The
machine body may be deformed by heating.
Objects, such as sticks, sands or gravels, shall be
avoided from entering the air inlet grid or air outlet
grid. Fans running at high speed are very dangerous,
and children should be kept away from them.
Never block or cover the air inlet grid or air outlet
grid. If such case happens, it may reduce the
performance and affect the normal operation
capacity.
Whenever you operate the machine, make sure the
air filter net is installed correctly. Otherwise, dirt
may enter the internal running position and cause
damage.
When cleaning the machine, do not sprinkle water
directly on the machine, which may lead to electric
shock.
Before maintenance, make sure the unit is powered
off to prevent electric shock.
When the unit is not used for a long period, you
should cut off the power supply and drain the water
from the water tank. After the water is drained, do
remember to close the drain valve. If the water tank
is under frozen conditions for a long time, it may be
damaged.

connect the evaporator pipeline.
Exhaust the air in the chilled water system at the highest point of this system.
Install the pressure gauge, the thermometer and the valve in the water inlet and outlet pipes.
Install the filter in the water inlet pipe of the evaporator.
Install the balance valve and the flow switch at the water outlet.
Cautions
If the washing the pipe with acid solvent, a temporary by-pass pipe shall be arranged beside
the unit for fear of damaging the evaporator.
Never use the untreated or improperly treated system water for fear of damaging the
machine.
Refer to Connection Diagram for Water System for the installation location of each typical
accessory on the water supply pipeline of the unit. The pipe components may vary with the
locations of connectors and water source.
To avoid damaging the unit, do not reversely install the system water pipe. The water inlet
pipe must be connected to the water inlet connector marked with water inlet. The water
outlet pipe must be connected to the water outlet connector marked with water outlet.
The exhaust valve shall be arranged at the highest point of the pipeline in order to exhaust
the air in the chilled water system.
The water pressure of the evaporator shall not be more than 0.5 MPa (i.e. maximum working
pressure) for fear of damaging the parts and components on the chilled water side of the
unit.
Before the final pipe connection of the unit, all external water supply piping systems shall
be thoroughly flushed. It is strictly prohibited to be mixed with sundry in the piping system,
otherwise our company will not be responsible for the consequences.
Connection of water pipeline
The circulating water pump must be installed on the water inlet pipe of the evaporator to ensure
that the internal pressure of the evaporator is positive pressure. Refer to Figure 1 for the installation

Figure 1. Installation Drawing for Typical Pipeline Fittings
The description of Figure 1 is as follows:
Pressure gauge: displaying the water inlet and outlet pressure.
Thermometer: displaying the water inlet and outlet temperature.
Balance valve: controlling the water flow.
Shutoff valve: used for disconnecting the host unit and the water pump when maintaining. The
shutoff valves are required to be installed on the water inlet and outlet pipes.
Filter: preventing the evaporator from being contaminated and blocked.
Drain valve: draining the residual water in the pipeline when the machine is shut down.
Tree-way valve: used when the evaporator is cleaned.
Cautions
All units must be equipped with the filters which can filter the particles with the diameter larger
than 1 mm to ensure that the impurities cannot enter the evaporator.
Never use the untreated or improperly treated system water for fear of damaging the unit.
Otherwise, TRANE will not be responsible for the unit damage therefrom.
After the installation of water pipeline is completed, please firstly close the shutoff valves 2 and 3,
open the shutoff valves 1 and 4, the open the water pump, and flush the debris in the water pipe
residual in the water pipe with water onto the filter; then close the shutoff valves 1 and 4, remove
the filter and cleanup the dirt on the filter, and reinstall the filter. Repeat the above operation till
there is no dirt on the filter. Therefore, the evaporator can be prevented from being blocked.
The chiller water pipe must be insulted to prevent condensation. If the pipeline may be exposed
below 0
, the pipeline must be equipped with the heating resistor.
When the ambient temperature is below 16
in winter, do not cut off the power supply, and
preheat the unit 24 hours ahead of start-up, otherwise the compressor will be damaged.

Principle Description
1. In order to avoid pipe rupture caused by the excessive pressure inside the system pipeline
when the ambient temperature changes and prevent the pneumatic hammer from occurring
in the pipeline, a pressure water tank is added on the pipe system.
2. To avoid the internal pressure is too high or low inside the pipeline, a water compensation
valve and a drain valve are added. When the pressure is lower than 0.6 bar, the water
compensation valve will be automatically opened for water compensation; when the pressure
is higher than 5 bars, the drain valve will automatically open the drain pipe for drainage.
3. The water compensation pressure can be adjusted according to actual conditions.

Electrical Installation
Electrical Wiring
Connect the power wire to the main terminal board (TB) of the distribution box for the unit.
Connect the control panel with the main control board of the unit through the control panel
(indoor mounted) connecting cable. See pages 18-24.
If the unit is not provided with the water pump, connect the control wire of the chilled water
pump to the corresponding terminal of the chilled water pump.
Ground the unit, the chilled water pump motor (for the unit with water pump) and all devices
to be grounded.
If the electric heater is provided, connect the power wire and the control wire to the terminal
TB2 of the electric heater.
If the two-way valve of the fan coil is used for interlocking control, it is necessary to set SW2-
7(N Type) or SW1-7(H Type) to ON on the control board and connect the interlocking point
(dry contact) between the control box terminals 12(N Type) or 19(H Type) and U.
Connect the flow switch between the control box connecting terminals U and 15 of the unit.
Warning
To prevent injury or death, disconnect electrical power supply before completing wiring
connections to the unit.
Caution
The terminals can be connected only through the copper conductors so as to avoid corrosion
or overheating. Refer to the electrical parameter table for the minimum current, the fuse
specifications and the electrical specifications of the motor.
Power Supply
Please refer to the wiring diagram on the cover plate of the control box for the unit. The installer
shall provide a power supply with correct voltage and a suitable breaker for the unit. The
variation of input power should be limited at
±
10%.
Cautions
For the 380V~ unit adopts the scroll compressor, the phase reversing and loss protection
controller is installed which should be checked with electricity connection before start-up.
If the green light of the phase reversing and loss protection controller in the control box is on, it
means the phase sequence is right; red light being on means the phases of power wiring should
be exchanged; and the yellow light means lacking phase which need check with electricity
