USB connection
To Send or Receive the Configuration, Update the Firmware and Request Device Info, it is first of all
necessary to connect the device to a PC, and make sure that the right port has been selected.
Connect Local Display to the PC using a USB-miniUSB cable.
For communication to take place, the device must be connected to the BUS.

The device can be configured by creating a new project, or by opening and existing one, which
can then be changed and resent to the device. These operation can be performed inside the global
area of the software, using some dedicated device management pushbuttons:

To import or export the configuration project created in the specific area, select the device, and
click the corresponding key.

Home page
The page is divided into three sections: On the left section ( ) is the “Project items” area.
The centre section ( ), is the “Display” area. This is used to configure what will then be displayed
as the Home Page of the device, and its subpages.
On the right side of the screen ( ) is the “Property/Project area, which can be used to configure
the object selected in the Display area.

Some objects are used for connection to other pages, where correlated objects can be grouped
together.
The configuration of the sub-pages is performed following the order the objects have been
included in the Home Page.
The “Display” area shows the future setup of the Home Page and the sub-pages of the device.

This area is split into two sections, which can be selected by clicking the labels at the bottom; the
“Property section shows the configuration fields for the object currently selected in the Display
area.
The “Project” section displays the objects by page in a tree menu format.
In addition to selecting the objects, the user can also navigate through the project, selecting any
available sub-pages.

By including the “Load Control function, Local Display will enable the user to check the status of
the individual loads controlled by the central unit and, in case of disconnection, force them back
on.

Beep: enable/disable the notification sound emitted when the load is disabled by the
central unit.
Alarm: enable/disable the display of an alarm screen when the load is disabled by the

Switch-off priority: select the priority assigned to the load (from 1 to 255).
Interface: select the interface type, either Basic or Advanced interface.

By including the Temperature control” function, Local Display will operate as a temperature probe,
enabling the user to display the temperature measured, and change the parameters set by the
central unit.
Temperature control
1. Configure the object:
Address: set the zone address of Local Display.
Local Probe: set if a local probe is present.
Probes Number: set the number of Slave probes.
Central unit: set if a central unit is present, and its type (99 zones o 4 zones). If no central
unit is present, Local Display will operate as a room thermostat.
Address (4 zone central unit): if a 4 zone Central unit has been set, select the address of
the central unit within the system.
Zone Actuators: click
to set the actuators used to control the zone valves.

Heating Type: select the type of installation for the heating system (On/Off, Open/
Close, Fancoil, Gateway).
Cooling Type: select the type of installation for the cooling system (On/Off, Open/
Close, Fancoil, Gateway).
Address: enter the address of the zone actuator.
Type: select if the actuator will operate for the heating system, the cooling system, or
both.

Pump Actuators: click the to set which actuators will control the pumps of the system.
Heating Delay: select the switch on delay in minutes for the heating system pumps.
Cooling Delay: select the switch on delay in minutes for the cooling system pumps.
Address: Enter the address of the pump actuator.
Type: select if the pump actuator will operate for the cooling system, the heating
system, or both.
Thermal SetPoint: thermal protection temperature.
Anti-Freeze SetPoint: anti-freeze temperature.
Manual SetPoint: preset temperature for manual operation.
Season Mode: set the seasonal operating mode, selecting between summer and winter.

Address: select an address for the sound source selected.
Description: enter a customised description for sound source selected.
Type: select the source type (Radio Source / AUX Source / Multimedia Source).
The Radio Source refers to the Radio Tuner, the AUX source to an external source (e.g.
CD player) connected to the Stereo Control, or to an RCA input, while the Multimedia
source refers to any MyHOME_Screens that operate as system sources.

By including the “Sound system function (single channel or multichannel, depending on the
installed type) Local Display will enable the user to control the amplifier of the zone of reference,
and select the sound source.

Thresholds: enable the setting on Local Display of two alarm thresholds.
Beep: enable/disable the notification sound emitted when the thresholds have been
reached.
Auto on: enable/disable the display of an alarm screen when the thresholds have been
reached.
DataLogger: select “Present when the Energy IP Data Logger is installed on the system.
By including the “Energy Data function, Local Display will enable the user to display the
consumption data for the configured lines.

Economic evaluation setup
This section can be used to set tariffs that will be applied to the consumptions set in the
Energy data“ section.

3. Enter the number of decimals to display on Local Display for the evaluation.
At the end of the configuration click to save the project, and to return to the Global Area
and export the project, or send it to the device.
