IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Caution
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions
should always be followed including the following, please
read all instructions.
1. This product is for household use only. Do not use outdoors.
2. Do not use pressure cooker for other than intended use.
3. Do not place the unit on or near a hot gas or electric burner,
or in a heated oven
4. Do not use it in a place which is near splash water or fire.
5. Do not use it in a place exposed directly to sunshine or oil
splash. Put it in a place out of the reach of children.
6. Do not place the unit on an unstable location. It is strictly
prohibited to use it on a newspaper, foam or other object that
may easily block the vent hole at the bottom.
7. Close supervision is needed when the pressure cooker is
used by or near children. The adult should supervise the
children to make sure the children do not play with the
appliance.
8. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they are accompanied by a person responsible for their
safety.
9. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord,
plugs, or appliance in water or other liquid.
10. Be sure that handles are assembled and fastened
properly before each use. Cracked, broken or charred
handles should be replaced.
11. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or
plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been
damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the Tatung
USA Service Center for examination, repair or adjustment.

Caution
12. Do not make unauthorized replacement of any spare part
inside the pressure cooker, as this may cause electric shock,
fire or injury.
13. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the
appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
14. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch
hot surfaces.
15. Caution: to reduce the risk of electric shock, cook only in the
provided removable container (cooking pot).
16. Before use each time, be sure to check the anti-block shield,
float valve and steam release handle/valve for obstruction,
wipe the surface of the inner pot and the heating plate to
confirm they are free of any foreign objects. Make sure the
steam release handle is in sealing position.
17. Always check the pressure release devices for clogging
before use. Do not cover the pressure valves.
18. Please soak the dry foods before cooking them in the
product.
19. Be aware that certain food, such as applesauce, cranberries,
pearl barley, oatmeal or other cereals, split peas, noodles,
macaroni, rhubarb, or spaghetti can foam, froth, and sputter,
and clog the pressure release device. These foods should
only be cooked in a pressure cooker with caution with the
inner pot never more than l/2 full and using natural release.
20. Do not fill the unit over MAX level (2/3 full). When cooking
foods that expand during cooking such as rice or dried
vegetables, do not fill the unit over l/2 full. Overfilling may
risk clogging the steam release pipe and result in excess
pressure. These fill level warnings do not apply to non-
pressure cooking program. Please see “Cooking
Preparation”.

Caution
21. This appliance cooks under pressure. Improper use may
result in scalding injury. Make certain unit is properly closed
before operating. Please see “Cooking Preparation”.
22. Never deep fry or pressure fry in the unit with oil. It is
dangerous and may cause a fire or serious damage.
23. Do not move this product or force to remove the lid when
the unit is in operation.
24. Extreme caution must be used when moving the unit
c
ontaining hot oil or other hot liquids.
25. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs. Do not
place your hands or face over the steam release handle/
valve or float valve to avoid scald when the unit is in
operation.
26. After cooking, use extreme caution when removing the lid.
Serious burns can result from steam inside the unit.
27. When opening the lid after cooking, do not touch the inner
pot, lid and inside with hands directly to avoid scald.
28. Do not open the pressure cooker until the unit has cooled
and all internal pressure has been released. If the handles
are difficult to push apart, this indicates that the cooker is still
pressurized- DO NOT force it open. Any pressure in the
cooker can be hazardous. Please see “Cooking Preparation”.
29. To disconnect, turn any control to “off ” then remove plug
from wall outlet.
30. Always unplug from outlet when not in use, before removing
parts and cleaning. Allow the cooker to cool before putting
on or taking off parts, and before cleaning.
31. To prevent risk of explosion and injury, replace only sealing
ring as recommended by the manufacturer. See Operating
Instructions.
32. Intended for countertop use only.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Warning
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than
the other).
To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is
intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug
does not fit fully into the outlet reverse the plug. If it still does
not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to
modify the plug in any way.
Spilled food can cause serious burns. Keep appliance and
cord away from children. Never drape cord over edge of
count-er, never use outlet below counter, and never use with
an extension cord.

Product Structure
1. Confirm that the float valve, Anti-block shield and sealing ring are correctly
assembled before use each time.
2. Before putting the inner pot into the cooker each time, remove the dirt and
water from the external side of the inner pot and internal side of the exterior
put
3. Please move the product with the handle of the cooker body.
4. Please remove the water from the housing cover with cloth.
Tips:
Instructions Before Use
When use this cooker for the first time, please take out all accessories from the
cooker body and read the User Manual carefully, particularly the section of
usage and cautions for avoiding property loss or physical injury for you.
Steam release handle: Pull out the steam release handle from the lid. Clean
the internal side of the steam release handle and float valve of the lid with
brush and cloth at least once a month.
Sealing Gate: Please remove oil and dirt from the sealing gate with detergent
and brush. The remained oil and dirt may appear in yellowish. After washing,
it may recover to the original color as stainless steel. It is suggested to clean
the sealing gate once every 2 months.
Water box: After cooking, the steam may stay in the water box of the exterior
pot as water. Water in the box should be removed for avoiding bad odor.
Please clean it with clean cloth.

1. Change the cooking time (pressure keeping time) of the preset function
By pressing “TEXTURE” button to change cooking time (pressure keeping time)
according to the personal preference.
2. Manual Function - Set customized cooking time
To customize the cooking time as you need, press " Manual" button then adjust
the pressure keeping time by pressing “+”/ “-” button.
3. Delayed Timer Function
Set the delayed time before the function starts by pressing the “+”/“-” button.

Instructions Before Use
Use and maintain the stainless inner pot
1. Do not use it to store the acid, alkali and preserved foods for a long period
Although the inner pot has excellent anti-corrosion performance, it may cause
corrosion of certain degree, the suggested time of keeping warm does not
exceed 24h.
2. Keep it clean to extend the product lifecycle
Do not immerse it in water for a long period.
Clean the inner pot with soap, weak detergent or warm water to remove dust, oil
and dirt.
3. Do not scratch it with steel scrubber and metal sourcing pad
To clean the burnt marks on the bottom, soaking it for few hours with the water
before removal.
Tips:
The new inner pot has smooth and polished surface. As using for a long period
of time, the surface may become unclear with sign of wear after it is washed with
hard object. It is normal and won't affect the function of the product.
Cooking Preparation
1 Opening the lid correctly
Hold the handle of upper cover, turn it
counterclockwise about 30°till the“ ” mark on
the edge of upper cover is aligned with “ ”
mark on the edge of the housing cover, and
then lift the upper cover.
2 Check whether the parts and accessories
of lid are properly installed
Check whether the float valve and steam
release handle/valve are jammed. Make
sure the sealing ring and anti-block shield
are properly installed.

3. Take out the inner pot, put in foods and
liquid
The total amount of foods and water should
not exceed the Max marker on the inner pot.
The maximum rice and water amount should
not exceed the Max on the inner pot.
4 Place the inner pot into the cooker
Wipe and clean the outside of inner pot. No
foreign object and water are allowed on the
inner surface of electric pressure cooker.
After putting inner pot inside the cooker,
rotate the inner pot slightly to ensure good
contact between inner pot and heating plate.
5 Close the lid completely
Before closing the lid, make sure the sealing
ring is properly installed.
Holding the handle of upper cover, the “ ”
mark on edge of upper cover is aligned with
the “ ”mark on the edge of the housing
cover. Put the top cover horizontally on the
cooker body. Turn the upper cover clockwise
for about 30°to the lock the cooker. Make sure
“ ” mark on the housing cover is aligned with
the ” mark on the lid.
6 Place the steam release handle well
In operation of cooker, please turn the steam
release handle to the sealing place, which
means the electric pressure cooker keeps at
sealing state.
For manual exhaust, please turn the steam
release handle to the exhaust place, the
electric pressure cooker keeps at the exhaust
state.
When exhausting, do not keep the hands or
face over the steam release handle.
Check whether the float valve drops down
before releasing steam (the floater valve is
down before the cooker works).

Function Selection
1. Regarding the cooking preparation, please refer to Page 8 and Page 9.
2. This cooker and its functions/programs only activate when the upper lid is closed
completely except the Sauté/Sear function.
3. Under standby state, when you press the button, the corresponding indicator will
turn on. The “TEXTURE” light is on. Press “TEXTURE” you can choose
“LOW”, “MID” OR “HIGH” to change cooking time(pressure keeping time). Then
press “START/ON/OFF” to start the pressure preheat cycle. When the working
pressure is reached, the cooker enters cooking cycle and displays the remaining
cooking time.
4. After cooking, the cooker may automatically enter into the keep warm state. The
time of keep warm shall not exceed 24 hours.
5. After cooking, the indicator of corresponding function lights is off and the keep
warm indicator lights is on. At the time, the cooker makes sound and enters the
keep warm state.
6. To activate keep warm state manually, press the “Warm” button in standby state.
Then the keep warm indicator lights is on and the cooker makes sound to enter
the keep warm state.
General Function
Tips:
1. Under any state, press the “CANCEL” button to cancel the current work
state and return to standby state.
2. When the cooker is in operation, it is normal for the cooker to make
ticking/cracking sound occasionally.
3. When cooking a small amount of foods, the inner pot may appear to be
stuck on the lid by vacuum when opening the lid. In this case, before open
the lid, please rotate the lid slightly to drop the inner pot in the cooker
body. And also make sure steam has been released completedly.

1. Turn off power supply or remove the power plug
2. Release steam in one of the following methods
A. Quickly Release
Turn the steam release handle to the exhaust place to let out the steam until
the float valve drops down. (For non-fluid foods)
B. Natural Release
Allow the electric pressure cooker to cool down naturally till the float valve
drops down.
3. Open the lid
1) Turn the upper lid counterclockwise to open position. Lift the upper lid to
open.
2) Do not open the lid until the pressure in the pot has been completely
released. Do not force to open the lid if it is difficult to open.
3) Do not pull out the steam release handle when turning it to release steam.
4) After cooking fluid foods (porridge and soup), do not turn the steam release
handle. Before opening the lid, please turn off power supply to make the
cooker to cool down naturally until the float drops down.
5) After cooking a large amount of foods, please do not immediately release
steam. It is suggested to keep warm for a certain time before opening the lid.

Power On
When the power is on, the digital screen displays nothing. The
LED is not on. The buzzer does not sound and the appliance does
not heat up.
Standby
When “ ” is pressed, the digital screen will display 88:88, the
LED will be on for one second, and the buzzer will sound once.
Then the appliance will enter the standby state, the digital
screen will display “— — — —”, and the LED light will be off.

1. Normal cooking: In the standby state, when the “Rice” button is
pressed, the “Rice” indicator will be flashing and the “MID” light
will be on and the digital screen will display “Auto” to indicate
the pressure keeping time will be set automatically by cooker.
Press “TEXTURE” to change cooking time by three adjustments
named “LOW/MID/HIGH”. Press to start cooking.

button is pressed, the “Brown Rice” indicator will be flashing and
the “MID” light will be on and the digital screen will display “Auto”
to indicate the pressure keeping time will be set automatically by
system. Press the“TEXTURE” button to change the cooking time
by three
adjustment,“LOW/MID/HIGH”. Press to start
cooking. then the buzzer will sound and the digital screen will
display . When pressure is ready, will light on, and the
cooking enters the pressure cooking cycle and displays the
remaining cooking time. When the cooking cycle has finished,
the buzzer sounds and the system automatically goes into
keeps warm state. The “Warm” indicator is on and the digital
screen displays elapsed warm-keeping time “00:00”. Before

pressed, the “Cake” indicator will be flashing and the “MID” light
will be on. The digital screen will display “0:36” to indicate the
cooking time is 36 minutes. Press the “TEXTURE” button to the
change the cooking time by “LOW/MID/HIGH”.
Press to start cooking, then the buzzer will sound, will be
on, and the digital screen will display the countdown of 20
minutes, showing that the appliance starts to heat up. When
the countdown is done, the cooking has been finished. Then
buzzer sounds and the system automatically keeps warm. The
“Warm” indicator is on and the digital screen displays the
elapsed warm-keeping time (such as “00:00”).

automatically keeps warm. The “Warm” indicator is on and the

Note: Please note that when using this function, do not put food
directly into the stainless steel inner pot. Before making a cake,
place the steam rack in the bottom and pour some water into
the inner pot firstly, and then put your materials in a plate, and
carefully center the filled plate on the steam rack.

Keep Warm Function
1. After cooking, the electric pressure cooker automatically
enters into the keep warm state; Under keep warm
state, keep warm indicator lights on;
2. Under standby state, you may also press the “ Warm”
button to keep warm;
3. Keep warm temperature is 140°F~176°F;

For use the product safely with a longer product life cycle, please carefully
check and maintain it.
If followings occur Solutions
Power cord and plug suffer from expansion,
deformation, discoloration,damaged,etc.
A portion of the power cord and plug get hotter
than usual.
Power cord is with discontinuous power supply.
The electric pressure cooker heats abnormally
and emitting burnt smell and bad odor.
There's abnormal noise or vibration, when
powered on.
Stop using, and repair
it by the authorized
repair center.
There's dust or dirt on the plug or socket. Remove the dust or dirt.
