WARNING: Shut off air supply and drain residual pressure before attempting to service any part of the compressed air system!
INSTALLATION
Filter may be installed in either direction and should be installed as close as possible to the actual
point of use, downstream of other filters and water traps. In no case should the filter be installed
within 20 feet of supply line length of the compressor. Failure to maintain this distance will cause
excessive water vapor to pass through unit.
This filter is designed for installation on a 1/4 inch line, use appropriate fittings for installation on other
line sizes. Do not apply thread sealing compound or Teflon tape to threads on filter or mating pipe as
doing so can cause the fittings to crack during tightening. When installing filter, grasp the housing by
hand and tighten in a clockwise manner. Do not use a vise, pliers or other mechanical means as
doing so may damage the threads or housing, leading to injury.
After installation, pressurize slowly to avoid high-pressure surge. Check for leaks and re-tighten
fittings as needed.
WARNING: This product is intended for use in industrial compressed air systems only. Do
not install where pressures or temperatures can exceed those listed above.
OPERATION
Filter should be operated within the parameters listed above. During operation and before each use, inspect filter for signs of leaking or damage.
Remove and discard filter immediately if any damage is noted.
WARNING: Do not clean with or expose the filter to solvents, ketones, etc. as use of such chemicals will adversely affect the filter housing
and could lead to serious injury.
When used on a flexible air hose, keep hose free of snags as extra tension could lead to failure at the connection ports.
Filter should be replaced before the element has become saturated and will no longer trap water. The following general guidelines may be used for the
replacement interval:
Heavy Daily Use on Dirty Air Systems
Moderate Daily Use on Average Air Systems
Intermittent Use on Clean Air Systems
Dispose of spent filter in accordance with local regulations.
