Get started
SURFboard mAX products combine the latest Wi-Fi technologies (802.11ac and 802.11ax)
with a tri-band design to deliver whole-home Wi-Fi coverage with broadband speeds. With a
dedicated 4x4 mul-Gigabit band to link mesh units, you get the speeds you pay for!
SURFboard mAX home Wi-Fi devices are available in mulple speed capabilies and
packages. Each product has a designaon which translates its wireless LAN standard and
maximum speed capability. For example, AX7800 means it uses the 802.11ax standard and
has a maximum transfer rate of 7.8 Gbps. AC3800 means it uses the 802.11ac standard and
has a maximum transfer rate of 3.8 Gbps. Use the table below to determine which category
your product ts into. This will help you beer undertand the capabilies of your product as
you go through this User Guide.
