Replacing Filter Elements
1. Power off the air compressor using the customer supplied
disconnect and the Control Power Only Switch located on the
rightsideofthecabinet.
2. Power off the nitrogen generator using the customer installed
electricaldisconnect.
3. Isolatethenitrogengeneratorfromthesprinklersystembyclosing
theN2TankOutletValve(V03)locatedonthenitrogentank.
4. OpentheblueN2BleedValve(V04)locatedneartheNitrogen
SamplePort(SP)andbegindrainingpressurefromthenitrogen
tank.
5. OpentheblackhandledvalvelocatedontheActivatedCarbon
Filter(F03)andbegindrainingpressurefromtheairtank.
6. Locatethefour(4)ltersontheinsideofthenitrogengenerator
cabinet.SeeFig.1.
7. Disconnect the drain tubes from the lter bowl by pushing up
ontheplasticreleasingcollarandpullingdownonthetube.See
Fig.2.
8. Usinga7/8”wrenchloosenthelterbowlfromthelterbody.

Itis extremelyimportantthatyouonlyunscrew
the drain bowl from the lter body. The oat
adjustments at the bottom must remain in auto.
Manual(man)willcausetheoatstoremainopen
andairtoleak.Ifyouaccidentlyloosentheoat
adjustment,simplyretightenwithyourhand.

nitrogengeneratorbeforeproceeding.

9. Afterthelterbowlisseparatedfromthelterbody,removethe
lterelementbygentlypullingdown.SeeFig.4.
10. Remove old O-rings and replace with the O-rings in the lter
elementkit.
11. Clearlterbowlsofdebrisandrinse.
12. Replacethelterelementwiththecorrectlterelementfromthe
replacementkit(#0090207).SeeFig.5.

Note:This lter bowl is not connected to the drain and has a black
handledvalve.
13. Checktomakesuretheoatsmovefreely.
14. Screwthelterbowlbackintothelterbody.Usea7/8”wrench
to tighten the correct wrenching ats. Be careful to not over
tightenoryoumaycrackthelterbody.Repeatforalllters.
15. ClosetheblackhandledballvalveontheActivatedCarbonFilter
(F03)andtheblueN2BleedValve(V04).
1. Turnpowerontotheunitusingthecustomersupplieddisconnect
andtheControlPowerOnlyswitch.
2. Toresetthemaintenancetimerandgetthemaintenancealertor
maintenancetroubletoreset,gototheIntelliGen™Display.
3. Press“MAINT”ontheIntelliGen™Displaykeypad.
4. Enterpasscode“0000”
5. Select“Std.Maintenance”press“ENTER”.
6. Themenuwilldisplaymaintenancetimercountdownhours.
7. Toresetthemaintenancetimerpress“ENTER”.Press“ENTER”
againtoconrm.
8. Toresetthemaintenancetimerpress“ENTER”.
9. ThemaintenancelightontheIntelliGen™Displaywillturnoff
andthemaintenancetimerhasbeenreset.
10. TurnpowerbackontotheaircompressorusingtheAirCompressor
Switchlocatedontherightofthecabinet.Theamber“BYPASS”
LEDwillbeONsincethereisnopressureinthetanks.
11. Ifthenitrogengeneratorisisolatedfromthesprinklersystem:
• The air compressor of the INS-1500/2000 should take no
longerthan10minutestopressurizethetwotanksandturn
off.
12. Theamber“BYPASS”LEDshouldturnoff.
13. Iftheaircompressorisnotturningofforitistakinglongerthan
expected,itcouldindicatealeak.
14. Allowthesystemtoholdpressureforseveralminutes.Checkall
pipingconnectionsforleaks.Anydropinpressureonthenitrogen
tankorairtankduringthistimecouldindicatealeak.
15. If there is a drop in pressure, soap all lters and blow-down
strainer.
