Warning
The camera requires a Micro SD card to store les we recommend you select a high speed Micro SD card
from a reputable manufacturer.
Do not submerge the camera in water unless it is in the waterproof housing.
Make sure the housing is properly closed and sealed before exposing it to or submerging it in water.
Do not leave it unattended when charging.
Do not leave unused for extended periods of time.
Lithium-ion batteries can explode, or cause injury if disassembled, short circuited, or exposed to high tem-
perature. The camera is powered by a 3.7V/1050mAh Li-Ion rechargeable battery pack and must be treated
with caution and care.
Do not expose the camera to strong magnetic elds, such as magnets or motors, or strong radio waves, a
strong magnetic eld may cause the product to malfunction or distort the image and sound.
Do not expose the camera to high temperatures or direct sunlight.

Do not dispose of the battery with domestic waste, please use an appropriate recycling facility

1. Introduction
This compact action camera with waterproof housing and accessories is ideal for capturing high
denition video and still images on the go. The rugged waterproof housing makes it particularly suitable
for all kinds of action and water sports. The wide range of ttings supplied make it easy to mount the
camera to vehicles clothing and other equipment. The Wi-Fi capability allows you to control the camera
with your smartphone or a Wi-Fi remote control. The video recording also features sound recording and
playback.

7. Getting started
A. Insert a Micro SD Card
The camera requires a Micro SD card to record video and photo les to, we recommend you select a high
speed Micro SD card with Class 10 memory up to 32GB. Insert the card into the SD card slot (3) make sure
it is the correct way round as indicated below the slot.
B. Installing and Removing the Battery
The camera is supplied with a Li-Ion rechargeable battery. To change the battery use a small screwdriver
to release the battery compartment cover catch (15), remove the cover use the tag to pull the battery out.
Insert a charged battery into the compartment making sure the terminals on the battery align with the
terminals of the camera push rmly into position and replace the battery compartment cover.
C. Charging the Battery
Use the USB cable supplied to connect to a computer or a USB power adaptor. When charging, the red
indicator light will stay on, once fully charged, the red light will turn o.
D. Camera On / O:
Press the Power/Mode key (5) to turn the camera on. Press and hold for 2 seconds to turn the camera o.
E. Switching Mode
Press the Power/Mode key (5) to switch the camera from Video ª Photo ª Playback ª Menu.
F. Video Recording
Make sure a Micro SD card is inserted, turn on the camera, short press the “OK” key (11), the
camera will start recording video.To stop recording press the “OK” key again.
G. Taking Photos
Change the camera to photo mode by pressing the Power/Mode key (5) and short press the “OK” key (11) to
take a photo.
H. Playback Mode
Press Power/Mode key (5) to enter Playback mode, the press the up (12) and down (13) keys to select a
video or photo to view, press “OK” key (11) to play a video.
I. Settings Menu
Press Power/Mode key (5) to enter the settings menu use the up (12) and down (13) keys to select menu
items and press the “OK” key (11) to select. We recommend that you download the GoPlus Cam app and use
your smartphone or tablet to adjust menu settings: see section 8.
J. Connecting to a Computer
Use the USB cable supplied to connect the camera to a computer, a screen appears oering 2 connection
modes: Mass storage and PC camera mode. Press the up key (12) to select the connection mode.
1. In Mass Storage mode, the PC or Mac will display the contents of the micro SD card so that you can view
or download stored video and photo les.
2. In PC camera mode, the camera can be used as a web cam for video chat.
8. Wi-Fi Connection
The easiest way to control your camera is using a smartphone or tablet loaded with the
“GoPlus Cam app”: for Android download from Google Play, for IOS download from the APP Store.

To make a Wi-Fi connection turn on the camera, press the “up” key (12) to turn on the Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi indica-
tor LED will ash blue, the camera screen will show the Wi-Fi logo and then the camera SSID and WPA2
(initial password): 12345678
Open the GoPlus Cam app on your smartphone, tap the phone/
Wi-Fi icon to make a connection you may get a message to say:
“This network has no Internet Access. Stay connected?” Tap yes.
Reopen the GoPlus Cam app, the camera
view will appear tap the phone screen to
reveal menu items.
Tap 1 for Playback.
Tap 2 for settings menus
Tap 3 to disconnect
Tap 4 to start/stop recording in video mode
Tap 4 to take photo in photo capture mode
Tap 5 to select video record or photo capture

9. Remote control
The camera can also be operated using a dedicated remote control.
Supplied as part of Kit PI00501 with a wrist band (not shown).
To operate press the red key to take a photo. Press the grey key to start a video
recording, press the grey key again to stop recording.

10. Video and Photo Modes
A. Motion Detection Mode: Records when motion is detected and continues
recording until motion has not been detected for 10 seconds. Ideal for remote/automatic lming.
B. Loop Recording Mode (Cyclic record): This mode allows you to set the length of recording to 1, 2, 3, 5 or
10 minutes. In this mode the camera will record for that set time repeatedly until the memory is full and
then record over the oldest recording.
C. Burst Mode: This mode allows you to take multiple photos the setting is for single or 3 shots. When set
to 3 shots each time you press the OK key in photo mode the camera will take 3 consecutive photos.
D. Capture Mode: The capture mode allows you to set a time delay of 3, 5, 10 or 20 seconds between the
pressing of the OK key and the taking of a photo.
E. Video Lapse: This mode allows you to set a time delay of 1, 2, 5, 10, 30 or 60 seconds between the
pressing of the OK key and the start of a video recording.
