With more and more DJ’s moving from CD and Vinyl formats to software and software-
based controllers, popularity is growing for products such as the Numark Mixdeck
Express. This guide walks through the proper set up for the Numark Mixdeck Express
with Virtual DJ Pro and Numark Cue.
1. Connect the Mixdeck Express to the computer. Set the Source button to MIDI
PC on both sides.
2. Open Virtual DJ/ CUE.
3. Click on the Config menu in the upper right hand side of the software.
4. Chose the Mappers tab in the Config menu and choose Mixdeck Express from
the drop-down menu.
5. Next, click on the Sound Setup tab and adjust the settings as follows:
INPUTS > NONE
OUTPUTS> EXTERNAL MIXER (In the drop down box choose: DECK
ONE FRONT OUTPUT/DECK TWO REAR OUTPUT)
SOUNDCARD > 4.1 CARD (In the drop down box next to sound card you
choose: the MIXDECK EXPRESS)
Then click Apply and OK and you are now ready to go!
