1. LAMP FAILURE IN IQ 200/210 SERIES
1.1 Description
Domain of application
The lamp startup failure can happen in following projectors :
• iQ G/R 210 projectors
• iQ G/R 200 projectors upgraded with the LPS upgrade Kit R841922K
New L amp Power Supply
The iQ 210 series are standard equipped with the new Philips lamp power supply modules
to guarantee the specif
ied 6000 hours of operation.
These new lamp drivers have an adapted drive voltage range and can thus e nsure power
(voltage) supply to the lamp during the whole lifetime of the lamp (6000 hours).
However, som e cases of lamp startup failures have been reported with these n ew lamp
drivers.
1.2 Solution
New lamp
Future lamp versions should prevent these startup failures. Even though these versions are
notyetavailablesimplelamprestartmaysolvetheproblem.
Restarting the lamp
In case of a startup failure of one of the lamps the projector will switch to single mode and
will log a lamp error. To restart the failed lamp go in Dual Mode.

Restarting the projector
If the projector was in single mode (only 1 lamp remaining) prior to the startup failure, it
will end with a h ardware error (LED 2 is red) and no pictu re display, in that case restart the
projector.
