SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Make sure that the towbar is suitable for the vehicle before starting the

installation.

For safety, all work involving towbar installation (incl. electrical components) must

be undertaken by skilled technicians.

Damaged components must be replaced with manufacturer’s spares and fitted by

qualified staff.

It is forbidden to make any modification or structural repair to towing assembly.

The towball must be kept clean and lubricated. For added safety, his diameter (50

mm) must be checked at regular intervals. If the towball measures less than 49 mm

after selected readings across the diameter, the towball must be replaced with a new

one.

After 1000 km of towing, check torque settings for nuts and bolts, in accordance

with the table.

• Remove any mastic from contact points then paint with anti-rust paint. The

necessary holes are already existing.

•

• 1 Remove bumper and discard the reinforcement bar, then remove the plastic

cover which is on the outside of the left side of the vehicle so to be able to reach

mounting point 02.

• 2 In case you are installing the tow bar on a “Grand Scenic” remove the black

masks located to the sides of the rear part where the seats are inserted.

• 3 Locate side arm B referring to holes 01 then tighten inserting the screws inside

and interposing the large washers.

• 4 Unscrew the screw under the chassis rail to allow the passage of the side left

side arm; locate side arm C referring to holes 01 and 02 then tighten inserting the

screws inside 01 and outside 02. In position 01 interpose large washers.

• 5 Interpose cross bar A to the B and C supports in correspondence of holes 03

then tighten.

• 6 Tighten all bolts and nuts as per torque settings

• 7 Connect the wirings to the socket.

• 8 Re-fit the rubber cover on the left side of vehicle.

• 9 Cut the inner bumper support as showed.

• 10 If you are mounting the tow bar on a “ Grand Scenic” cut again as showed in

layout 2 and then re-fit the black sides masks.

• 11 Re-fit bumper.
