SUMMARY:

This PT-35 electrode and torch body design has been updated to improve operation.

OPERATIONAL IMPACT:

These changes will result in significant performance and operational improvement by:

• Increasing consumable life

• Simplifying consumable change outs

• Increasing torch reliability

• Reducing unproductive down time

• Improving ease of torch repair

DESIGN CHANGES:

The PT-35 product improvement is centered on the electrode piston and power cable

connections. The changes will simplify torch assembly and improve operational reliability. All

parts are provided as a retrofit kit (0558004930) which include the new torch body, installation

instructions and new consumable parts. The original heat shield, nozzle and insulator are

unchanged and can be used with the new torch body and electrode.

ACTION:

1. Order and install PT-35 Retrofit Kit 0558004930

2. Replace present stock of electrodes with new electrodes and/or reorder packages

below.
