K&N® CABIN AIR FILTER
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
When your cabin air lter(s) get dirty, the lter can be cleaned and reused. K&N® recommends
servicing your K&N® cabin air lter every 12 months or 12,000 miles. Best of all, the lter
comes with a 10 year/Million mile limited warranty. Servicing your K&N® cabin air lter is
simple: just follow the following 6 steps.
1.REMOVE FILTER: Remove the K&N® cabin air lter
from the cabin air lter housing and or cabin air lter tray.
Handling with care, remove loose dirt and debris from the
lter by tapping it with your hand or against a hard surface.
2. APPLY CLEANER: Spray a generous amount of K&N’s
specially formulated cabin air lter cleaner P/N 99-0650
onto both sides of the lter, with a majority of it applied to
the dirty side. Allow the cleaner to soak in for 10 minutes.
Do not allow the cleaner to dry on the cabin air lter.
5. REFRESHING: Apply K&N® cabin air lter Refresher™
P/N 99-0660 onto the cabin air lter element. Apply liberally,
so that the entire area of the cabin air lter media is treated.
3. RINSE FILTER: Rinse o the lter element with cool or
warm (not hot) water from the clean side out in order to
ush the dirt out of the lter. It may be necessary to use
your ngers on the hose, to apply light water pressure.
Repeat steps 2 and 3, until the water owing through the
media is completely clear of any dirt and debris.
4. DRY: After rinsing, gently shake o excess water. Allow
lter to dry naturally for 20-30 minutes. The lter does not
need to be completely dry and can be slightly damp before
moving to the next step.
6. RE-INSTALL: Re-install the cabin air lter into the lter
housing or tray. Follow original installation instructions that
were provided with your K&N® cabin air lter.
Use only K&N® cabin air lter RefresherTM kit, and not K&N® engine air lter Recharger® kit. The above process
is the only approved procedure for servicing your K&N® cabin air lter. Please visit knlters.com for a complete
listing of other K&N® products for your vehicle, such as oil lters, air lters, and intake kits.
