STOP
LOCK – Press to lock all doors and arm alarm.
Turn signal lights will blink once.
UNLOCK – Press once to disarm alarm and
unlock driver’s door. Turn signal lights will blink
twice. Press again within four seconds to unlock
all doors.
TRUNK UNLOCK – Press and hold to
unlock trunk lid.
PANIC – Press and hold to activate horn
and  ashing lights. Press again to turn o
panic mode.
SMART KEY ENTRY
CHANGING IGNITION SWITCH MODES
With the ignition OFF push the Engine
Start Stop:
Once for ACC (Accessory) mode.
Twice for ON mode.
ree times for OFF.
To start the engine in any mode (including
OFF) push the Engine Start Stop button while
pressing the brake pedal.
To shut the engine OFF place transmission
in PARK and push the Engine Start Stop
button again.

BUTTON: Press the button on the Front Outside
Door Handles with all doors (and trunk) closed.

HANDLE BUTTON: Press the button on the
Front Outside Door Handles with all doors
(and trunk) closed.
AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCKING/UNLOCKING
Your Hyundai is equipped with a feature that
will automatically lock all doors when driving.
See your authorized Hyundai dealer to con gure
this feature.
NOTE: If you are unable to unlock vehicle with
the proximity key, the mechanical key may be
used to open driver’s side door and trunk.
DOOR ENTRY
For your convenience your vehicle is equipped
with a Smart Key holder. Use the Smart Key
holder for safe placement of the Smart Key when
driving or to start the vehicle if the battery in the
Smart Key malfunctions.
To insert the Smart Key into the Smart Key
holder push it in until you feel it “engage.
To remove the Smart Key from the Smart Key
holder push in and take it out.
If you leave the Smart key in the Smart Key
holder when the ignition is pushed to LOCK
and the driver door is open:
A repetitive beep tone will sound.
e Smart Key removal indicator will illuminate
on the display inside the instrument cluster.

Seatbelt should be adjusted to lie across your
chest, midway over the shoulder nearest to the
door and not your neck.
To raise height adjustment push up on
height adjuster.
To lower height adjustment press and hold
height adjustment button and push down.
NOTE: Moving height adjuster quickly may
cause seat belt retractor to engage.
Whenever operating your vehicle, make sure
that you and your occupants are properly
secured with seatbelts. Small children should
always ride in the rear seat in an appropriate
child restraint system (see the Owner’s Manual
for child safety details).
If driver’s seatbelt is not fastened when
ignition key is pushed to ON or START
position, the seatbelt reminder light will blink
and a warning chime will sound to remind
the driver to fasten seatbelt.

1 Place vehicle in Park with the ignition ON.
2 Adjust the driver seat, outside rearview
mirror(s) and steering wheel to a
comfortable position.
3 Press SET button until a beep is heard and
then press memory button 1 or 2 within
5 seconds.  e system will beep twice when
memory has been successfully stored.
Recalling Seat Positions
With vehicle in Park, press the desired memory
button (1 or 2).
INTEGRATED MEMORY SYSTEM (if equipped)
To open Window press switch down.

Adaptive Front Light System (AFLS)
(if equipped)
AFLS uses the steering angle and vehicle
speed to rotate the headlamps to enhance
your eld of vision while driving.
e AFLS goes through a system check each
time the vehicle is started.
To turn AFLS OFF, push the button. Indicator
light in the instrument cluster will illuminate.
To turn AFLS ON, push the button again.

Instrument Panel Illumination
When the vehicles parking lights or
headlights are on, rotate the illumination
control knob to adjust the instrument panel
illumination intensity.

To activate Windshield Wipers move wiper/
washer switch to one of four positions.
MIST: Move wiper/washer switch up to
activate. Windshield wipers will make a single
swipe across windshield.
AUTO (if equipped): Move switch down one
position. Wiper frequency can also be varied
by rotating AUTO up for faster or down for
slower speeds.
With wiper/washer switch in AUTO, wipers
will perform one swipe when vehicle is started.
LO: Move wiper/washer switch down
two positions.
HI: Move wiper/washer switch down
three positions.
WIPE/WASH OPERATION
To use Windshield Washer pull wiper/washer
lever. When washer is operated, wipers will
automatically make several passes across the
windshield. Washer continues to operate until
lever is released.

OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM:
PASSENGER AIR BAG

e indicator will illuminate when you
turn the ignition ON. Light will not
illuminate when front passenger’s
air bag is enabled. e occupant
classication system will disable the
right front passengers air bag under
certain conditions (light on). Refer
to your Owner’s Manual for a complete
description of this system.
NOTE: Driver’s air bag and side impact
air bag are not part of the occupant
classication system.
Never place children under 13 years old
in front seats to avoid injury that may
result from air bag deployment.
Always refer to the Owner’s Manual for
complete safety precaution information.

Follow these steps to connect your Bluetooth
cell phone to BlueConnect.

LOW TIRE PRESSURE: e low tire pressure
telltale comes on for 3 seconds aer the ignition
switch is turned to the ON position. If the
warning light does not come on, or continuously
remains on aer coming on for about 3 seconds
when you turned the ignition switch to the ON
position, the Tire Pressure Monitoring System is
not working properly. If this occurs, have your
vehicle checked by an authorized HYUNDAI
dealer as soon as possible.
NOTE: Tire pressure may vary in colder
temperatures causing the low tire pressure light
to illuminate. Inate tires according to the
Tire Pressure Label located on the drivers side
door pillar.
LOW TIRE PRESSURE POSITION:
Illuminates if one or more tires is signicantly
under-inated. Safely park your vehicle, check
your tires as soon as possible, and inate tire(s)
to proper pressure.
TPMS MALFUNCTION INDICATOR:
Illuminates and stays illuminated when there is a
malfunction with the TPMS system. Have system
checked by an authorized Hyundai dealer as
soon as possible.
NOTE: e TPMS is not a substitute for
proper tire maintenance. It is the driver’s
responsibility to maintain correct tire pressure,
even if under-ination has not reached the level
to trigger illumination of the low tire pressure
indicator. Refer to the Owner’s Manual for
further information.

HEATED SEATS (if equipped)
To open the Hood pull the release lever. At the
front of the vehicle, raise hood slightly, pull the
secondary latch inside of the hood center and li
the hood.
To close the Hood lower the hood halfway and
push down to securely lock in place.
NOTE: Before closing the hood, check to make
sure all  ller caps are properly installed and that
the engine compartment is free of gloves, rags or
any other combustible material.

ESC monitors the driving conditions and
under normal driving conditions, the light will
remain o . When a slippery or low traction
condition is encountered ESC will operate,
and the indicator will blink to indicate the
ESC is operating.
ESC OFF Indicator
e ESC OFF indicator will illuminate when
the ignition switch is turned ON, but should go
o a er a few seconds.
To switch ESC OFF press the button.  e ESC
OFF indicator will illuminate indicating the
ESC is deactivated.
NOTE:
If the ESC OFF indicator stays on when
ESC OFF is not selected, the ESC may have a
malfunction. Take your car to an authorized
HYUNDAI dealer and have the system checked.
ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESC)
HomeLink® Wireless Control System can
conveniently replace up to three hand-held
radio-frequency transmitters, such as garage
doors, estate gates, and home lighting. Controls
for HomeLink® are located in the lower portion
of the inside rearview mirror.
Refer to your Owner’s Manual for detailed
instructions. Additional HomeLink® information
can be found at: www.homelink.com or by
calling 1-800-355-3515.
INTEGRATED HOMELINK
®
WIRELESS CONTROL SYSTEM
To raise or lower the Rear Sunshade press
the button.
NOTE: e rear sunshade will automatically
lower when vehicle is shi ed into reverse.
Sunshade raises automatically when vehicle
is shi ed back into Drive and vehicle speed
is more than 12.4mph (20km/h).

To Open Trunk With Smart Key: Press and
hold unlock trunk lid button.
TRUNK LOCK BUTTON
e trunk lock button is used to prevent
unauthorized access to the trunk.

To Activate the Trunk Lock System:
1 Open the glove box.
2 Press trunk lock button OFF. In the OFF
position, the trunk can only be opened
with the mechanical key.
3 Close and lock the glove box with the
mechanical key.
NOTE: When leaving a key with a parking lot
attendant, perform steps 1 through 3 and leave
the smart key without the mechanical key with
the attendant.  e smart key can start the engine
and operate the door locks only.
TO UNLOCK AND OPEN THE TRUNK
WITH THE KEY: Insert the mechanical key
into the key slot located under the trunk lid
and turn clockwise.

button and push back.
To raise Rear Center Headrest pull

To remove Rear Center Headrest place
headrest in raised position, press side lock,
