This manual contains important safety information and operation instructions, so please read all
the instructions carefully before using the player and keep it for future reference.
This manual will help you use all of the exciting features to make your player use more
enjoyable.

Important Safety Precautions
Always follow these basic safety precautions when using your player. This will reduce the risk of
product damage and personal injury.
y Do not disassemble, repair or modify the player by yourself. Refer servicing to qualified
personnel.
y Do not dispose of the player in fire to avoid explosion because the player has built-in
battery.
y Do not touch the player with bare hands if the built-in battery is leaking. In this case,
contact service center for help since the liquid may remain in the player. If your body or
clothes has contacted with the battery liquid, wash it off thoroughly with water. Also, if
some of liquid gets into your eyes, do not rub your eyes but immediately wash them with
clean water, and consult a doctor.
y Keep the player away from direct sunlight and heat source.
y Do not expose the unit to rain or moisture to avoid any malfunction.
y Do not use the player in rather dry environment to avoid static.
y Never apply heavy impact on the player like dropping it or placing it on the magnet.
y Route USB cable so that people and pets are not likely to trip over or accidentally pull on
them as they move around or walk through the area.
y Disconnect the USB cable from the computer when you do not use the player for a long
time.
y Clean only with dry cloth. Make sure the player is turned off before cleaning. Do not use
liquid cleanser.
y Be sure to back up your files. We will not be liable for the loss of data due to improper
operation, repair or other causes.
Precautions in using the headphone
y Do not use the headphone while driving an
automobile or riding a bicycle. It is not only
dangerous, but also against the law. To avoid an
accident, do not turn up the volume of the
headphones too high while walking.
y It is not recommended that you use the headphones at a high volume for an extended
time as this may cause hearing damage.

Cleaning
y Before cleaning the E-book player make sure it is turned off.
y Never spray or pour liquid directly onto the screen or plastic casing.
y To clean the LCD screen, wipe the screen with a clean, soft, lint-free cloth. This removes
dust and other particles. If it is still not clean, apply a small amount of non-ammonia,
non-alcohol based glass cleaner on a clean, soft, lint-free cloth to clean the screen.
y To clean the plastic casing, use a soft, dry cloth. If it is still not clean, apply a small
amount of non-ammonia, non-alcohol based, mildly non-abrasive detergent on a clean,
soft, lint-free cloth to clean the surface.
y To clean the frame, use a soft, dry cloth.
Disclaimer: Authorized Dealer does not recommend the use of any ammonia or alcohol-based
cleaners on the LCD screen or plastic casing. Some chemical cleaners have been reported to
damage the screen and/or display case. Authorized Dealer will not be liable for damage resulting
from the use of any ammonia or alcohol-based cleaners.

Getting Started
System requirements
Your computer system must meet the following requirements:
y Pentium 200MHz or above
y Win 2000, XP, Vista, Win 7
y USB port supported
Copy Files from computer
Files can be transferred directly into the player by using the USB data cable or the synchronous
transmission with Adobe digital editions.
1. Make sure that your computer has been started before you start.
2. Make sure Adobe Digital Editions is installed in your computer. If not, please download it
from http://www.adobe.com and install.
3. Connect the mini plug of the USB cable to the mini USB port on the player, and insert the
other end into a free USB port on your computer.
4. The computer system detects “New hardware” and starts to install the driver automatically.
Wait for the system to finish the installation. When it has finished, a new “Removable
Disk” will be created in “My Computer”.
5. Drag and drop the files on your computer to the “Removable Disk”.
6. To disconnect the USB cable from the computer, double click the Safely Remove
Hardware icon on the task bar. Click the USB Mass Storage Device, and then click OK.
Then you can unplug the player safely.
Note: Please do not disconnect the USB cable during loading. It may cause malfunction of the
player and the files.

Connect to the power
Plug one end of the power adaptor into the mini USB connector in the player, and the other into a
wall outlet.
Note:
To turn On/Off the player, hold the POWER button.
Charging the battery
y The battery of the player is charging automatically when the player is connected to a
computer. Make sure the computer has been started.
y The battery of the player is fully charged in about seven hours. If you charge the player
while loading files to the player, it might take longer.
y Read the battery level indication of your player:
Full Two-thirds full Half full Low Empty
y When charging, the indication will be the animation from empty to full.

y Recommended temperature for battery charging is 0

y Fully charge the player before you use it for the first time or when you have not used it for
a long time.
y Charge the player immediately when the “Low battery” message is displayed.
y Do not over charge or discharge the player. Over charging or discharging will shorten the
battery life.
y The battery could be over discharged if the player is not used for a long time (over three
months). To avoid over discharge, fully charge the player every three months and always
keep the voltage of the battery above 50%.
y If the player is not used for a long time, keep it under the temperature of 23

Insert memory card
The player includes a Micro SD card slot that enables you to add up to 16GB of additional
memory to your player.
y Insert the Micro SD card into the card slot with the metallic contacts facing towards the
backside of the player.
Notes:
y Do not use any force while inserting a memory card.
y To remove the cards, pull it out gently.
y Do not remove the card while data transferring.
Basic operation
Turn on/off the Player
Make sure the battery is sufficient.
y To turn on the player, hold the POWER button.
y To turn off the player, hold the POWER button.
Reset the Player
If a malfunction of the player occurs, take a metal pin, e.g. the end of a paper clip, and press it into
the RESET hole to re-initialize the system of your player.

Enter the main menu
Once you turn on the player, the main menu appears. In other modes, tap [ ] to return to the
main menu. Use the direction key to select desired mode and press OK to enter.

Browse history
Once entered the browse history function you can see all the book marks you saved before listed
by Thumbnail and you can choose them by pressing OK to resume reading.
In browse history list, press MENU key to pop-up a menu indicate you to delete the selected file,
delete all the files or exit.
E-book reading
For the first time you enter the e-book list, all the e-book files will be listed by Thumbnail. You can
press MENU key to pop-up a menu to set the list way. Use direction key to choose By Thumbnail,
By FileName, By Title or By Author and press OK to confirm.
Once entered the e-book list, use direction key to select the book you like and press OK to start
reading.
During reading, you can:
Use direction key and page up, page down key to turn pages.
Use ZOOM key to pop-up a menu to set the font size, use direction up and down key to select S,
M, L or XL and press OK to confirm.
The screen will be rotated along with the direction in which you rotate the unit by G-sensor
function.
If you want to use more settings, you can press MENU key. Then the pop up window will allow
you to select the following:

Store bookmark save the book mark here
Bookmark turn to the book mark you saved before
Delete bookmark delete the book mark you want
Browse Mode auto mode or manual mode
Auto flip set the page turn interval (10s, 15s, 20s, 25s, 30s)

set the brightness level (Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, Level 4, Level 5)
Volume adjustment set the volume level (0~32)
Catalog
show the catalog of the current e-book
Note: this function is not available for some e-book files.

Enjoying Music
Once entered the music function, the options will be the following:

Music play/Resume play show the current played song and resume last played song

Artist sort all music by their artists
Album sort all music by their album
Genre sort all music by their genre
My favorite
list the favorite music you set (In music list, press MENU key
to pop-up a menu to indicate you to add the music selected
into the favorite list. In Favorite list, press MENU key to pop-up
a menu to indicate you to delete the selected file, clear the
favorite or exit.)
Dir list list all documents
Breakpoint memory
display the 3 files last played and the stopped point, press the
OK key to resume playback of the first one from the stopped
point.
Updating media library update the media library
In music list, use direction key to select the music you like and press OK key to start playing.
During playing, you can:
Use PLAY key to pause or resume the music.
Use direction key up and down to tune the volume.
Use direction key left and right to go to previous and next music.

If you want to use more settings, you can press MENU key. Then the pop up window will allow
you to select the following:

Screen display setting choose display the lyric or close the lyric
Note: Lyric Displaying
This player supports lyrics display while music playing. Only the lyrics in LRC format can be
displayed.
To add lyrics to the music, take “love music. Mp3” for example:
1. Download the corresponding lyrics with extension “.lrc” from the Internet.
2. Rename the lyrics file as “love music.lrc”. Make sure the lyrics filename is the same as
the music file name.
3. Copy both files into the same folder on the player.
4. The lyrics will be display on the screen while the music is playing.
As the background music
The music can be used as the background music while you are reading the e-book or viewing the
photo.
When the music is playing, you can go to read the e-book or view the photo, press PLAY key to
display the music playback progress bar on the bottom of the screen and the bar will fade out in 5
seconds.
Use PLAY key to pause or resume the music.
Use direction key up and down to tune the volume.
Use direction key left and right to go to previous and next music.
The progress bar will fade out by pressing key.

Viewing Photos
Once entered the photo function, use direction key to select the photo you like and press OK to
start playing.
During playing you can:
Use direction key to switch photos.
Use ZOOM key to zoom in or zoom out. (this function is unavailable for the photos in GIF format)
The screen will be rotated along with the direction which you rotate the unit by G-sensor function.
If you want to use more settings, you can press MENU key. Then the pop up window will allow
you to select the following:

Browse set the sliding show interval (Close, 5s, 10s, 20s)
Explorer
Once entered the explorer function, you can find all documents in the memory or in your card.
You can play the document directly by select it and then press OK to play.
In the documents list, press direction key to select desired document and press MENU key to
pop-up a menu indicate you to delete the selected document.

Once entered the settings function, use direction key to select the item and press OK to start
setting.
The options available will be:

Calendar
Show calendar, during this interface you can use direction key left
and right to switch date, direction key up and down to switch
week.

Troubleshooting
If you have problems in operating your player, please check the points below before sending it to
service center.
