NOTICES
PLEASE DO NOT PUT THE CAMERA IN THE HOUSING UNTIL YOU HAVE GONE THROUGH ALL OF THE
FOLLOWING STEPS! SERIOUS DAMAGE MAY OCCUR IF NOT TESTED PROPERLY! Thanks!
This housing is not intended for deep diving use. It is rated as waterproof to a depth of 33-feet (10
meters). If taken deeper, the water pressure will force water into the housing. Use of this housing at any
depth is done at your own risk.
There is a video showing set up on the Support tab for this item on our site or you can view the video at

BASIC SETUP
Remove the underwater housing from the packaging and place it on a table or clear workspace where
you will be able to set it up easily.
Before anything else, check to make sure that the two red, main O-Rings are in place.
The one around the back side of the housing.
The one located on the front of the housing, where the lens port will be attached.
Next, you will position the clear backplate over the rear of the housing and lock it into place using the
four metal clips on the corners of the housing.
It is a good idea to go around to each clip and apply a little extra pressure after you have locked
all of them down. This is just to ensure the clips are locked in place properly.
You are now ready to connect your lens port to the camera housing. (This is a separate rental item)
Simply thread the lens port into the front of the underwater camera housing.
Once threaded down and when it feels tight, give the port an extra turn for good measure. We
suggest using two hands for a little extra strength when making that final turn. You don’t need to
worry about over-tightening the lens port. It’s important to make sure there is a proper seal
between the lens port and the camera housing.
Now that you have your back plate secured and your lens port attached, it is time to test the housing for
any leaks BEFORE you place your camera in the housing.
Simply place the housing under the water in either a pool, bucket or a bathtub filled with water.
Hold the housing under the water for at least 10 to 20 seconds, about an arm’s length away.
Bring the housing up out of the water. Make sure the seal looks tight and that no water has
entered the housing.
Repeat this process at least 2 or 3 times, until you feel confident the equipment is in good shape
and ready to use.
It’s time to disassemble the underwater housing and get to work with your camera!
First step to disassembly is to dry off the housing using a clean towel.
After dry, you’ll want to remove your lens port. When doing this, point the housing with the lens
port facing down and unscrew the lens port. This will help prevent any water or debris that may
be trapped in the threads from running back into the underwater housing.
You can then disengage the back clips and remove the backplate.
Wipe down any water or debris that may be left on the housing before going to the next step.

INSTALLING THE CAMERA
NOTICE
MAKE SURE YOUR CAMERA IS POWERED ON BEFORE PLACING IT IN THE
UNDERWATER HOUSING. IT IS RECOMMENDED TO PROPERLY SET YOUR SETTINGS
BEFORE PLACING IT IN AS WELL. YOU WILL HAVE LIMITED ACCESS TO THESE
FEATURES ONCE IT IS LOCKED IN THE HOUSING.
Now that you’ve done the proper testing, you are ready to use your camera with the underwater
housing.
Attach your lens to the camera before placing the camera in the housing.
Remove the camera plate from inside the underwater housing by simply sliding it back out of the
camera mount located at the bottom of the housing.
Using the provided screw, the camera plate will attach to the tripod mount located on the bottom of the
camera. Securely tighten the screw using a flathead screwdriver.
To install the camera in the housing, just slide the plate forward into the rails of the camera mount at
the bottom of the camera until it is flush with the front of the mount. There is no locking mechanism to
be concerned about.
Next, you will position the clear backplate over the rear of the housing and lock it into place using the
four metal clips on the corners of the housing. Be cautious of the lens sticking out of the front of the
housing to prevent any damage since it is not yet covered.
It is a good idea to go around to each clip and apply a little extra pressure after you have locked
all of them down. This is just to ensure the clips are locked in place properly.
You are now ready to connect your lens port to the camera housing. (This is a separate rental item)
Thread the lens port into the front of the underwater camera housing.
Once threaded down and when it feels tight, give the port an extra turn for good measure. We
suggest using two hands for a little extra strength when making that final turn. You don’t need to
worry about over-tightening the lens port. It’s important to make sure there is a proper seal
between the lens port and the camera housing.
Before going out into the open water, it’s still a good idea to do one more underwater test with your
camera in the housing. It’s better to be safe than sorry!
Simply place the housing under the water in either a pool, bucket or a bathtub filled with water.
Hold the housing under the water for about 10 seconds at least an arm’s length away.
Bring the housing up out of the water and check for any water or debris inside the housing unit.
If everything appears to be properly sealed and in working order, you’re ready to take you unit out to
the open water.

housing.
The Q Menu or Quick Control button
The Quick Control dial
The Set button
The Multi-controller
The Playback button
The Index/Magnify button

The silver knob on the top, right corner of the underwater housing is your Record button. You will be
able to use this just as you were using your DSLR without the housing.
That black knob on the left side of the housing, near the handle is what you will use to adjust the zoom
on your lens if you have selected a lens with a zoom option. You will simply turn this knob to adjust the
zoom on your lens.
The black knobs on the backplate of the underwater housing are not spring-loaded. These knobs will
have to be pulled out and then pushed back in again when using them to push the selected button.
These knobs also turn so that you can use them to turn the dials on your camera.
If you are having trouble with any of these buttons not working correctly, check to make sure the
backplate is lined up properly with each of the necessary buttons on the camera. You made need to
take the backplate off and slightly readjust it to fit correctly.

or lens.
