Introduction:
1. 1692upgrade.txt:
This file contains the following two files:
SET APPNAME 1692_000100.bin
GOTO 46xxsettings.txt
2. 46xxsettings.txt:
Upon downloading 1692upgrade.txt from the file server, the phone will download
46xxsettings.txt file containing configuration parameter settings such as:
SET MCIPADD 10.10.160.2 (For the user to set the call server IP address via
settings file. Otherwise it can be set via DHCP)
SET SSON 242
SET SYSLANG German (Or any other language for non-English in-language
prompts)
Notes-:
It is mandatory to press ENTER at the end of the script and save it, for upgrading
from previous builds (for any load before 1692_000217.bin) to ‘1692_000100.bin’.
If the customer is already using R000217 and wants to upgrade his phone from
R000217 to R00100 load then no need to press ENTER for blank line. Issue has been
resolved in R000217 (1692_000217.bin) load.
3. Localization:
The 1692 Localization folder should be placed under the File Server.
The localization feature is enabled with support for five languages: German,
Canadian French, Parisian French, Spanish, and Italian in addition to English which
is initially loaded on the phone.
For the German language and Boot Server folder TFTP_ROOT, the XML file
named1692-dictionary.xml should be placed under:
‘TFTP_ROOT\1692Localization\German\1692-dictionary.xml’.
A similar procedure should be followed for all other languages.
• In the script file “SET SYSLANG German” to select German locale.
A similar procedure should be followed for Spanish, Italian & English.
• For Canadian French “SET SYSLANG French_Canada” or for Parisian French
“SET SYSLANG French_France”
Note: The Language set in the script file and in the Call manager should be the
same.
