Heating the water to a desired temperature
11. Press the „80 °C button or the „100 °C“ button, alternatively
you can also press the „-5 °“ button to adjust the pre-set tem
-
perature as you desire. The lowest temperature that can be set
is 60
°C; after reaching this setting the display will revert to
100 °C. This means that you can enter the desired temperature
in minus increments, however you cannot increase the tempera
-
ture. If you want a temperature that is higher than the selected
temperature, please start again with step 6.

Press the ON/OFF button.
13. The display flashes three times before the boiling process starts.
14. Likewise during the boiling process, the temperature can be
changed via the temperature buttons, „80 °C“, „100 °C“ or
„-5 °“. Caution: If the water temperature in the appliance is above
the selected temperature, the appliance cannot be switched on.
15. Caution: The automatic temperature control only functions when
the lid is properly closed.
16. When the water boils, the appliance automatically shuts off.
17. Whenever you take the kettle off the base, the appliance is auto
-
matically switched off, even if the water is not yet boiling.

Of course you may also push the switch into the „O“-position to
interrupt heating.
19. If you want to boil more water, please allow the appliance to cool
off for a few minutes.
20. The appliance features boil dry protection. When operated
without water or with excessive scaling, the appliance shuts off
automatically. If this happens, please allow the appliance to
cool off briefly before filling it with water again or descale the
appliance as described in the chapter “Descaling”.
21. Caution: First unplug the mains plug, before you take the
container off of the base, to avoid a possible short-circuit hazard
due to water. To avoid burn injuries, do not touch or move the lid
as long as the water is boiling.
Boiling water can cause scalding. Therefore, please handle the
appliance with care when it contains hot water.
