Battery Installation – Uses one 3V Lithium battery (included).
1. Open the battery compartment cover on the backside of the scale. (figure 1)
2. Gently pull out the plastic tab to activate the batteries (figure 2).
3. Replace the battery compartment cover.
4. The LCD will display 8888 (figure 3), wait for the LCD to go to 0.0
which means the scale is now ready to use. (figure 4)
5. Replace all of the batteries if “Lo” appears on the screen
or if the readings grow dim or irregular.

Congratulations! You have purchased a precision health monitoring product that should provide
you with years of accurate use. This scale has a special finger print /toe print resistant
protective coating. To assure you obtain the best performance please read the following
set-up and use instructions carefully before using the scale.
General Operation
1. Select the weight unit you want amount lb/kg -
by pressing the button
2. Place the scale on a flat, hard surface.
Carpeted or uneven floors may affect accuracy. (figure 5)
3. Step on the scale platform and remain still.
The display will count up to your weight.
The display will flash three times when the
weight is locked. Your weight is now displayed.

Important:
1. The maximum capacity of this scale is 400 lbs / 180 kgs. Should (O-Ld) appear on the display during
a weighing, this indicates that the maximum weighing capacity of the scale has been exceeded.
Remove the weight immediately; otherwise, permanent damage may occur.
2. Err = Unstable Weight. Ensure the scale is on a flat, stable surface. Step off and back onto the
scale, standing still while your weight computes.
3. This scale is designed to read weights between 11lbs and 400 lbs / 5kgs and 180 kgs. To prevent
damage, do not place more than 400lbs / 180 kgs.
4. The scale will turn off automatically if no loading in 10 seconds.
5. The scale will turn off automatically if no stable loading in 15 seconds.
6. Scale will go back to zero 5 seconds after you step off of the scale. Once it is at zero, you
can weigh yourself again.
7. Scale will turn off automatically after you step off the scale. Step on again to weigh yourself
another time.
1. Check that the batteries are correctly installed.
2. Check that you have selected your preference of lb/kg.
3. Check whether the scale is on a flat, level floor
and not touching against a wall.
4. Do not step on scale until “0.0” appears.
5. If, when you step on the scale to activate it, there
is no display at all or “Lo” is displayed -
Try new batteries (figure 6)
6. If (O-Ld) is displayed, the scale has been
overloaded. (figure 7)
7. Unstable Weight: (Err)

- Change value of height and age, toggle between Male and Female,
- Select memory 1-4 in memory mode and recall mode

Advice for use & care:
1. The stainless steel platform will be slippery when it is wet. Keep dry.
2. Keep standing still during the course of weighing.
3. Treat the scale with care as it is a precise instrument.
4. Clean the scale with a damp cloth and avoid water getting inside the scale.
DO NOT use chemical/abrasive cleaning agents.
5. Keep the scale in cool place with dry air.
6. If scale fails to turn on, check whether battery is installed properly,
or battery power is low. Insert or replace new batteries.
7. If there is error on display or the scale will not turn off for a long period of time, please take
out the battery for about 3 seconds, then install it again to correct error. If you cannot resolve
the problem, please contact Detecto Customer Service for consultation 800-336-5282.

Program Personal Data
1. Press the SET button to turn the scale on (figure 10)
2. LCD will flash 1- 4 for the user numbers (figure 11)
3. Press the SET button again and choose
P1- P4 as your user number
Select the user number by using the Up or Down
Arrows to select a memory location (1-4 users).
Press the SET button to confirm. (figure 12)
4. Select unit by pressing the UP and DOWN arrows
to choose either “lb” or “kg. (figure 13)
5. Select gender: Press the UP and DOWN buttons
to select the Female or Male icons (figure 14)
6. Set age: Press the UP and DOWN buttons to adjust
the age and then press the SET button to confirm.

7. Set height: Press the UP and DOWN buttons
to adjust the height and then press the SET
button to confirm. (figure 16)
8. All personal information stored to memory will be
displayed once and then go into weighing mode.
9. Repeat steps 1-8 to set other pre-programmed
user numbers.

1. After setting up your profile the scale is ready for weighing. Press the set button and then use
the up and down arrows to select your user number.
2. Once you have selected your user number wait until the scale goes to 0.0 and then step onto
the scale.
3. Your current weight will be shown three times. Then your last weight will be shown and then
the difference of the two weights. Next you will be shown your BMI and calorie recommendation.
This information will be shown twice before the scales turns off.

What's Calorie Predictor?
The Calorie Predictor function estimates the number of calories required based on your body
composition and user entered personal data. This tool can be used as a guide when setting
daily calorie goals during weight loss and exercise programs.
What's is Body Mass Index (BMI)?
BMI is a ratio of a person’s weight to height. BMI is commonly used to classify weight as
“healthy” or “unhealthy”
