Installation Guide
Swann Communications warrants this product against defects in workmanship and material for
a period of one (1) year from it’s original purchase date. You must present your receipt as
proof of date of purchase for warranty validation. Any unit which proves defective during the
stated period will be repaired without charge for parts or labour or replaced at the sole
discretion of Swann. The repair or replacement will be warranted for either ninety days or the
remainder of the original one year warranty period, whichever is longer. The end user is
responsible for all freight charges incurred to send the to Swann’s repair centres.

Adjusting the Focus & Zoom
The PRO-770 Camera is equipped with a 4-9mm vari-focal zoom lens for
customizing the subject and area of surveillance. Remove the rubber plugs on the
back of the camera to access the screws that control zoom and focus.
To adjust the level of zoom & focus, use a flathead screwdriver to turn the screws
until the desired zoom and clarity is reached. Replace the rubber plugs to prevent
moisture from entering the camera.
The PRO-770 Camera includes a wall or ceiling mount stand. To attach the stand,
use the included accessories as per the diagram below.
Install the rubber washers between the camera stand and bottom of camera to
ensure a strong and secure fitting.

The PRO-770 Security Camera is compatible with all Swann Standalone DVR
Systems or any TV, VCR or DVR with BNC / RCA connections.
1. Connect the PRO-770 Camera to the BNC Extension Cable. Connect both DC
and BNC connections to the extension cable
2. Use the optional BNC to RCA adapter if connecting to a TV, VCR or other A/V
device. Otherwise, connect the BNC connector to your existing DVR
3. Connect the Power Adapter to DC connection on Extension Cable. When all
connections are complete, plug in the power adapter to an available power outlet
4. Tune your TV, VCR to the correct input channel to view the camera or turn on
your DVR to view
5. Tilt / aim the camera to the desired area of coverage
6. Adjust the lens focus as per instructions on page 3
7. Mount camera to desired location for permanent installation (if applicable)

position your camera so that it doesn’t point towards a very bright light source

1. Deterrence is the best and most cost effective security method for:
- preventing criminal activity before it occurs, is preferable to, and cheaper than,
cleaning up after it occurs
- the Swann PRO-770 Camera is an example of cost effective security utilising
the 'art of deterrence' to stop thieves and criminals
2. Always place cameras high enough that they can't be closely inspected or easily
accessed
3. Position cameras and dummies where they can be easily seen for maximum
deterrence
4. Position a monitor where it can be seen but not touched
5. If you have more than one camera use a monitor with channel switching function,
a Quad Processor or DVR with multiple views to show potential offenders the
level of coverage you have protecting your site
6. Add extra Swann dummy cameras to give the impression of heightened security.
7. Purchase a Swann DVR to monitor and record activity on your cameras.
Depending on the settings used, DVRs can record for months
8. Position a VCR with tapes or boxes close to your monitor for added effect,
