Select the desired function with the Function button and than activate (or deactivate) the chosen Function with the Select button, e.g.
select the Intensive function:
For Cottons programme,touch Ò

Additional rinse cycles, extended washing time. For areas with very soft water or for
further improvement of the rinsing result. Select Rinse+ by Ò button, then touch ä
for activate the function and touch ä button for desired rinse cycles (max. 3 cycles).
Night wash( 璟䯂 )
For cotton, synthetic fibres or blended fabrics. Programme with lower noise. Buzzer
volume will be off.
Prewash( 㳑眯䯂 )
Lengthen the prewash time, add detergent to compartment I at the same time. For
heavily soiled laundry.

For starting or pausing the programme, the function of adding the laundry in the process.

Childproof lock s Programme will not be changed by accidental operation
To activate the childproof lock:
After the programme starts or finish in time is activated a page 5, press and hold the Finish in button for 5 seconds;
Release when the s symbol lights up. If button signal is on, an acoustic signal will be heard.
When the programme ends, is displayed, but the door is locked. s symbol and the Start/Reload indicator remains on to
remind you to deactivate the childproof lock.
To deactivate the childproof lock:
Touch the Finish in button until the s symbol turns off.
Release the button.
s symbol flashes if the programme has been changed while childproof lock is activated, the original programme goes on running.
If the childproof lock is deactivated while the programme selector is in a different position from when the childproof lock was activated,
the running programme will be halted.

Drum light is installed at the top of drum, it lights up when the door is opened or closed, convinient to add or remove the laundry. The
drum light goes out after the programme runs for several seconds.

If you only want to drain the water: touch the Start/Reload

Sorting and loading the laundry
Observe the care information provided by the manufacturer.
Sort according to the information on the care labels.
Sort according to type, colour, soiling and temperature.
Do not exceed the maximum load a Page 7.
Observe the instructions in the Important information section a Page 9!
Remove any foreign objects - risk of rusting.
Load both large and small items of laundry.
Close the washing machine door. Take care not to trap any items of clothing
between the loading door and rubber seal.
Add detergent and care product
Add the appropriate dose according to:
Amount of laundry, soiling, water hardness (ask your water supply
company) and manufacturers instructions.
Models without insert for liquid detergent: pour liquid detergent into an
appropriate dispenser and place in the drum.
During operation: close the detergent drawer.

Load the maximum amount of laundry for the particular
programme.
Wash normally soiled laundry without Prewash.
Select Cottons 60 °C and additional function of ¢ to reach good
cleaning result with significantly lower energy consumption.
Does the detergent according to the manufacturers instructions
and water hardness.
If the laundry is then dried in the tumble dryer, select spin speed
according to the instructions of the dryer manufacturer.

Dilute viscous fabric softener and fabric conditioner with water. This
prevents blockages.

Safety instructions
Read and follow the operating and installation instructions and all other information
enclosed with the washing machine.
Retain documents for subsequent use.
Risk of electric shock Never pull out the mains plug by tugging the power cord.
Never insert/pull out the mains plug with damp hands.
Make sure the cable is pluged into a socket which conncted with
reliable earth correctly.
Risk of death Redundant appliances:
Pull out the mains plug.
Sever the power cord and discard together with the plug.
Destroy the lock on the washing machine door.
This will prevent children from locking themselves in and
suffocating.
Risk of suffocation Keep packaging, plastic film and packaging parts out of the reach
of children.
Risk of poisioning Keep detergents and care products out of the reach of children.
Risk of explosion Caused by detergents containing solvents, e.g. stain remover/
items of washing pretreated with solvent naphtha may cause an
explosion after being loaded into the washing machine. Rinse
such items thoroughly by hand before putting in the washing
machine.

Important information
Preparing/Protecting the washing and the machine
Empty pockets.
Remove metal parts (paper clips, etc.).
Turn inside out, e.g. knitwear, trousers, T-shirts and sweatshirts.
Make sure that the wire-cup bras are machine washable.
Wash delicates in a net/bag (tights, curtains, underwired bras).
Close zips, button up covers.
Brush sand out of pockets and collars.
Remove curtain hooks or place curtain in a net/bag.
Before washing for the first time
Do not put any washing in the washing machine. Turn on the tap, pour  measuring cup of
detergent into dispenser II. Set the Drum clean 40 °C programme and select Start/Reload.
At the end of the programme, set the programme selector to Off.
Washing with different degrees of soiling
Wash new items separately.
Light Do not prewash.
Pretreat stains. Select Cottons or Prewash additional function.
Heavy Load less washing. Prewash.
Select Cottons or Prewash additional function.
Soaking Load washing of the same colour
Add the appropriate dose detergent into dispenser II according to manufactors instruction,
set the Synthetics 40°C programme and select Start/Reload. After 10 minutes, select Start/
Reload for soaking the laundry. When time is up, select Start/Reload to continue the
programme or select other washing programmes according to textiles.
Starching
Laundry must not be treated with fabric softener
Take starch suitable for 15 liter water and make it into liquid starch in accordance with the
manufactures instructions. Set the programme to Rinse. Select spin speed and then select
Start/Reload. Add starch to dispenser I as soon as water flows into the machine, close the
dispenser.
Dyeing/bleaching
Do not dye/bleach laundry in the washing machine.
Down
Special programme for washable clothes filled with down. Only wash down clothes, no down
pillows or bedding. Wash large items seperately. Dose detergent economically. Then dry the
down in dryer machine to avoid agglomeration.

Wipe with a soft, damp cloth.
Do not use abrasive detergents.
Immediately remove washing and cleaning agent residue.

Clean the detergent drawer

1. Pull out the drawer up to the stop position, press down the latch on the insert and
remove the drawer completely.
2. Remove insert: pull insert upwards with finger.
3. Clean the detergent dispenser and the insert with water and a brush.
4. Refit the insert and secure in place (the cylinder should fit over the guide pin).
5. Insert the detergent drawer.
Leave the detergent drawer open so that residual water can evaporate.
Clean the drum
Leave the washing machine door open so that the drum can dry.
Rust stains  use chlorinefree cleaning agent, not steel wool.
Descaling No washing in the machine!
This should not be necessary if the detergent is dispensed correctly. However, follow the instructions of the
descaler manufacturer.
Information on the display panel depending on model
Please close the door immediately because of rising water level; in pause status,
and are displayed alternately, Please close the door.
Door is locked due to safety reasons (water level above door lock level and/or
temperature level above door lock temperature); in pause status, and
are displayed alternately. If you need to open the door, wait for the temperature to
drop or the water to be drained, e.g. select Spin programme.
Door cannot be locked/unlocked due to high temperature of the door lock coil. Wait
a moment and try again; or cut off the power, connect it after waiting for 5 seconds.

Supply hose kinked or blocked.
The symbol flashes, indicating the laundry inside are unbalanced.The washer-
dryers unbalanced load detection system can not adjust the imbalance.To prevent

Maintenance
Drain pump blocked
Set programme selector to Off, pull out the mains plug.
1. Open service flap.
2. Take the drainage hose out of the holder.
3. Remove sealing cap, allow detergent solution to flow out. Have a suitable
container ready.
Push up the closing cap and place the drain hose back in its holder.
4. Carefully unscrew the pump cover (Caution! residual water).
Clean the interior, pump cover thread and pump housing (fan impeller
in the detergent-solution pump must rotate).
5. Reinsert and screw on pump cover. Handle should be vertical.
6. Place the service flap back on and close.
To prevent unused detergent from flowing into the outlet during the next
wash: Pour 1 litre of water into dispenser II and start the Spin programme.
Filter blocked in water inlet hose
Release water pressure in the supply hose:
1. Turn off the tap!
2. Select any programme (except Spin).
3. Press Start/Reload button. Leave programme for approx. 40 seconds.
4. Set programme selector to
Off. Pull out the mains plug.
Clean the filter:
5. Disconnect the hose from the water tap.
Clean filter with small brush.
or
Remove hose from the rear of the appliance.
Take out filter with pliers and clean.
6. Connect the hose and check for leaks.

Emergency release e.g. in the event of power failure
If power is cut when programme is running, the safety device will lock the
door to avoid water flow out of the machine. If the laundry need to be
removed:
The programme will continues to run when the power is restored. The
laundry can be removed when the programme ended.
Release emergency release to open the door if the laundry need to be
removed immediately!
Risk of scalding!
The detergent solution and laundry may be hot.
If possible, leave it to cool down.
Do not reach into the drum if it is still rotating.
Do not open the washing machine door if water can be seen
through the glass.
Set the programme selector to Off and disconnect the mains
plug.

was selected, without drain) appears on the display field,
the buzzer sounds. Set volume of buzzer -> page 6.

Remove any foreign objects - risk of rusting.
Load both large and small items of laundry.

company) and manufacturers instructions.

To activate the childproof lock:
After the programme starts or finish in time is activated a page 5, press and hold the Finish in button for 5 seconds;
Release when the s symbol lights up. If button signal is on, an acoustic signal will be heard.
When the programme ends, is displayed, but the door is locked. s symbol and the Start/Reload indicator remains on to
remind you to deactivate the childproof lock.
To deactivate the childproof lock:
Touch the Finish in button until the s symbol turns off.
Release the button.
s symbol flashes if the programme has been changed while childproof lock is activated, the original programme goes on running.
If the childproof lock is deactivated while the programme selector is in a different position from when the childproof lock was activated,

Retain documents for subsequent use.
Risk of electric shock Never pull out the mains plug by tugging the power cord.
Never insert/pull out the mains plug with damp hands.
Make sure the cable is pluged into a socket which conncted with
reliable earth correctly.
Risk of death Redundant appliances:
Pull out the mains plug.
Sever the power cord and discard together with the plug.
Destroy the lock on the washing machine door.
This will prevent children from locking themselves in and
suffocating.
Risk of suffocation Keep packaging, plastic film and packaging parts out of the reach
of children.
Risk of poisioning Keep detergents and care products out of the reach of children.
Risk of explosion Caused by detergents containing solvents, e.g. stain remover/
items of washing pretreated with solvent naphtha may cause an

Important information
Preparing/Protecting the washing and the machine
Empty pockets.
Remove metal parts (paper clips, etc.).
Turn inside out, e.g. knitwear, trousers, T-shirts and sweatshirts.
Make sure that the wire-cup bras are machine washable.
Wash delicates in a net/bag (tights, curtains, underwired bras).
Close zips, button up covers.
Brush sand out of pockets and collars.
Remove curtain hooks or place curtain in a net/bag.
Before washing for the first time
Do not put any washing in the washing machine. Turn on the tap, pour  measuring cup of
detergent into dispenser II. Set the Drum clean 40 °C programme and select Start/Reload.
At the end of the programme, set the programme selector to
Off.
Washing with different degrees of soiling
Wash new items separately.
Light Do not prewash.
Pretreat stains. Select Cottons or Prewash additional function.
Heavy Load less washing. Prewash.
Select Cottons or Prewash additional function.
Soaking Load washing of the same colour
Add the appropriate dose detergent into dispenser II according to manufactors instruction,
set the Synthetics 40°C programme and select Start/Reload. After 10 minutes, select Start/
Reload for soaking the laundry. When time is up, select Start/Reload to continue the
programme or select other washing programmes according to textiles.
Starching
Laundry must not be treated with fabric softener
Take starch suitable for 15 liter water and make it into liquid starch in accordance with the
manufactures instructions. Set the programme to Rinse. Select spin speed and then select
Start/Reload. Add starch to dispenser I as soon as water flows into the machine, close the
dispenser.
Dyeing/bleaching
Do not dye/bleach laundry in the washing machine.
Down
Special programme for washable clothes filled with down. Only wash down clothes, no down
pillows or bedding. Wash large items seperately. Dose detergent economically. Then dry the
down in dryer machine to avoid agglomeration.

Leave the washing machine door open so that the drum can dry.
Rust stains  use chlorinefree cleaning agent, not steel wool.
Descaling No washing in the machine!
This should not be necessary if the detergent is dispensed correctly. However, follow the instructions of the
descaler manufacturer.
Information on the display panel depending on model
Please close the door immediately because of rising water level; in pause status,
and are displayed alternately, Please close the door.
Door is locked due to safety reasons (water level above door lock level and/or
temperature level above door lock temperature); in pause status, and
are displayed alternately. If you need to open the door, wait for the temperature to
drop or the water to be drained, e.g. select Spin programme.
Door cannot be locked/unlocked due to high temperature of the door lock coil. Wait
a moment and try again; or cut off the power, connect it after waiting for 5 seconds.

Drain pump blocked
Set programme selector to Off, pull out the mains plug.
1. Open service flap.
2. Take the drainage hose out of the holder.
3. Remove sealing cap, allow detergent solution to flow out. Have a suitable
container ready.
Push up the closing cap and place the drain hose back in its holder.
4. Carefully unscrew the pump cover (Caution! residual water).
Clean the interior, pump cover thread and pump housing (fan impeller
in the detergent-solution pump must rotate).
5. Reinsert and screw on pump cover. Handle should be vertical.
6. Place the service flap back on and close.
To prevent unused detergent from flowing into the outlet during the next
wash: Pour 1 litre of water into dispenser II and start the Spin programme.
Filter blocked in water inlet hose
Release water pressure in the supply hose:
1. Turn off the tap!
2. Select any programme (except Spin).
3. Press Start/Reload button. Leave programme for approx. 40 seconds.
4. Set programme selector to Off. Pull out the mains plug.
Clean the filter:
5. Disconnect the hose from the water tap.
Clean filter with small brush.
or
Remove hose from the rear of the appliance.
Take out filter with pliers and clean.
6. Connect the hose and check for leaks.

Emergency release e.g. in the event of power failure
If power is cut when programme is running, the safety device will lock the
door to avoid water flow out of the machine. If the laundry need to be
removed:
The programme will continues to run when the power is restored. The
laundry can be removed when the programme ended.
Release emergency release to open the door if the laundry need to be
removed immediately!
Risk of scalding!
The detergent solution and laundry may be hot.
If possible, leave it to cool down.
Do not reach into the drum if it is still rotating.
Do not open the washing machine door if water can be seen
through the glass.
Set the programme selector to Off and disconnect the mains
plug.

Pull the emergency release with a tool and release. The washing
machine door can then be opened.
