WARNING
The air collected must not be conveyed into a duct used to blow off smokes from appliances fed with an energy other
than electricity (central heating systems, thermosiphons, water-heaters, etc.).
Comply with the official instructions provided by the competent authorities in merit when installing the disposal duct.
In addition, exhaust air should not be discharged into a wall cavity, unless the cavity is designed for that purpose.
The room must be well aerated in case a hood and some other heat equipment fed with an energy other than electricity
(gas, oil, coal heaters, etc) operate at the same time. In fact the intake hood, disposing of air, could create a vacuum
in the room. The vacuum should not exceed 0,04mbar. This prevents the gas exhausted by the heat source from
being intaken again. It is therefore advisable to ensure the room contains air taps able to ensure a steady flow of
fresh air.
ATTENTION: This appliance must be grounded.
When making the electrical connections, check that the current socket has a ground connection and that the voltage
values correspond to those indicated on the data plate inside the appliance itself.
In case your appliance is not furnished with a non separating flexible cable and has no plug, or has not got any other
device ensuring omnipolar disconnection from the electricity main, with a contact opening distance of at least 3 mm,
such separating device ensuring disconnection from the main must be included in the fixed installation. If your unit
features a power lead and plug, position this so the plug is accessible.
Always switch off the electricity supply before carrying out any cleaning or servicing operations on the appliance.
Thorough servicing guarantees correct and long-lasting operation.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do
not play with the appliance.
To get optimal conditions the air venting pipe should:
– be as short as possible.
– have the lowest number of bends (max bende angle: 90°).
– be made of material approved by local authorities (according to the State).
– have its inner side as regular and smooth as possible.
It is moreover recommended to avoid drastic changes of pipe cross section (recommended diameter: 150 mm).
INSTALLATION
The appliance has been specially designed to extract steam and smells from the kitchen in an efficient and silent way;
it must be installed inside the premises and can be connected to a hood inside the kitchen.
The appliance can be positioned with the air outlet at the side (example Fig. 1 and 2) or with the air outlet above (example
Fig. 3 and4). In all cases, the appliance must always be secured to the floor. Depending on your requirements, select
the most appropriate solution and follow the instructions provided below. To obtain the best from the appliance, we
recommend the installation shown in Figure1.
INSTALLATION WITH SIDE AIR OUTLET:
Installation of the type shown in Fig. 1 (on the vertical of the hood):
Prepare the power supply and hole for air extraction.
Place the drilling template on the floor and superimpose the hole indicated (for side outlet) on that previously made in the
roof; make the 4 holes and fit the 4 anchors provided; also make the hole for the power cable.
Take the 2 metal brackets provided and secure these to the appliance, being careful to ensure they project so that when
fastening, the power cable is able to pass underneath the appliance (Fig. 5).
Fit a hose (T) to the flange of the appliance (Fig. 5).
Fit the 4 rubbers and 4 bushes (provided) in the holes of the brackets (Fig. 6).
At this point, turn the appliance upside down and pass the hose and power cable through the holes previously made; position
the appliance properly and secure it to the floor using the 4 screws and 4 washers (Fig. 7).
Connect the hose to your hood and make all power connections (see “Electrical Connection” chapter).
Installation of the type indicated in Fig. 2:
Prepare the power supply and hole for air extraction.
Remove cap (A) and flange (B) and switch these round (Fig. 8).
Place the drilling template on the floor, drill the 4 holes and fit the 4 anchors provided.
Take the 2 metal brackets provided and secure these to the appliance (Fig. 9).
Fit the 4 rubbers and 4 bushes (provided) in the holes of the brackets (Fig. 6).
At this point, turn the appliance upside down and secure it to the floor using 4 screws and 4 washers (Fig. 10).
Fit a hose (T) to the flange of the appliance (Fig. 10); connect this to your hood and make power connections (see “Electrical
Connection” chapter).
INSTALLATION WITH UPPER AIR OUTLET:
Installation of type indicated in Fig. 3:
Prepare the power supply and hole for air extraction.
Remove cap (A) and flange (B) and switch these round (Fig. 8).
Place the drilling template on the floor and superimpose the hole indicated (for upper outlet) on that previously made in
the roof; make the 4 holes and fit the 4 anchors provided; also make the hole for the power cable.
Take the 2 metal brackets provided and secure these to the appliance, being careful to ensure they project so that when
fastening, the power cable is able to pass underneath the appliance (Fig. 11).
Fit a hose (T) to the flange of the appliance (Fig. 11)
Connect the hose to your hood and make all power connections (see “Electrical Connection” chapter).
Installation of type indicated in Fig. 4:
Prepare the power supply and hole for air extraction.
Place the drilling template on the floor, drill the 4 holes and fit the 4 anchors provided.
Take the 2 metal brackets provided and secure these to the appliance (Fig. 13).
Fit the 4 rubbers and 4 bushes (provided) in the holes of the brackets (Fig. 6).
At this point, turn the appliance upside down and secure it to the floor using 4 screws and 4 washers (Fig. 14).
Fit a hose (T) to the flange of the appliance (Fig. 14); connect this to your hood and make power connections (see “Electricall
Connection” chapter).
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION:
Direct electrical connection: the input cable must be connected directly to the electrical voltage, (therefore the apparatus
will always work at the maximum speed) fixing the electrical cable of the apparatus directly to the current tap (socket)
connected to a normal ON/OFF switch. Electrical connection to a hood: (Fig.15). The input cable must be connected to
the hood. Find out the box F (placed on the hood) for connecting the hood to the mains. Take off the cable clamp A and
