DORAN Exterior Signal Booster

Installation Instructions

The Doran Exterior Signal Booster, part #3625, was developed to assist in getting hard to read sensor

signals to the Doran Tire Pressure Monitor. To accomplish this, the Booster is designed with a receiver and

a transmitter for the sensor RF signals. This Booster is built with heavy-duty weatherproof construction so

it can be used outside of the vehicle.

1. Supplying Power to the Exterior Signal Booster

The Booster will need to be powered by a 12-volt

negative ground system. When connecting the Booster

to the electric supply, you will need to connect the RED

wire to a 12-volt positive (+) source and the BLACK wire

to a negative (-) source. The Booster is fused internally so

additional fusing is not necessary.

When connected to the power, there is an LED light

visible through the cover plate, located where the power

cord enters the unit. The light will remain on whenever

the unit is powered.

2. Placement of the Exterior Signal Booster

It is best to locate the Booster towards the rear of the

vehicle so the sensors located farthest away from the

monitor can communicate with the monitor.

Try to keep the Booster from being surrounded by metal,

as this can greatly reduce its effectiveness.

The best reception of the and signal transmission will be

achieved from mounting the Booster behind the rear

axle of the vehicle. We suggest you test the location of

the Booster, and the reception and transmission of RF

signals before you permanently attach it to the vehicle.

3. Mounting the Exterior Signal Booster

It is best to mount the Booster in a vertical position,

towards the rear of the vehicle.

It will also work attached in other positions, but the full

potential may not be realized.

Mount the Booster using the 4 mounting tabs and the

bracket included in the kit.
