MHSC MJ27NR-S MJ27PR-S SIT Proflame Conversion enables remote control of your gas appliance. By installing the provided receiver and connecting it to your existing control valve, you can operate your fireplace or other gas-powered device with the included remote control. The remote features an ON/OFF button and a three-position slider switch for selecting between "OFF," "Remote," and "Manual" modes. The remote receiver can be conveniently mounted on a wall or other location outside the fireplace to protect it from heat and extend battery life.

Note: Heat reduces battery life. You can protect the receiver

and extend the battery life by mounting the receiver in the

wall or other location outside the replace.

Conversion Instructions

1. Turn o Gas and electric to the appliance.

2. Disconnect the two (2) female connectors from the

TP/ TH and TH terminals on the control valve.

3. Disconnect the wire harness from the control valve.

This receiver may be discarded.

4. Set remote receiver. Refer to instructions included in

receiver kit.

5. Connect the 14-pin female connector from the wire

harness to the 14-pin male connector on the back of

the receiver.

6. Connect the two (2) 1/4" female connectors to the valve.

The white wire connects to the TP\ TH terminal and the

green wire connects to the TH terminal on the valve.

See Figure 1.

7. Connect the four-pin connector from the control valve to

the four-pin connector of the wire harness.

8. After the batteries have been installed in the remote

and receiver, move the three position slider switch to he

“Remote” position.

9. Use the end of a paper clip, or other similar object, to

push in the hole marked “PRG” on the receiver front

(you should hear three beeps for conrmation.

10. On the remote, push the ON button (you will hear four

beeps to conrm the synchronization of your device.)

11. For further instructions, refer to the instruction sheet

included with the SIT Proame remote.

• Power to the appliance must be shut o before

attempting service or repairs.

• Allow gas appliance to cool completely before

attempting to install or remove remote receiver.

• Only a qualied service technician should perform

installation of the remote receiver.
