Section 3: Setting Up the Appropriate Line Output
Conguration for Your System
1. At the top of the main menu, select
“Line Output Conguration”.
2. On this menu, there are two line output
conguration options.
3. Line Out Option One (Default): Wide Range Mode.
This mode will pass the input signal directly to the line
output, maintaining the connected speaker/amplier’s
individual conguration. A selectable high pass lter is
available to reduce the level of low frequencies sent to
the connected wide range speaker.
a. Common Congurations
i. Primary Subwoofer with Wide Range speaker
connected to Line Out
1. In this case, the high pass lter can be used to limit
the low frequencies sent to the Wide Range speaker.
ii. Primary Wide Range speaker with Wide Range
speaker(s) connected to Line Out
2. In this case, all Wide Range speakers maintain
their own conguration and ltering.
4. Line Out Option Two: Subwoofer Mode. This mode should
be used when there is more than one subwoofer in the sys-
tem, and the entire daisy chain consists of only subwoofers.
In this mode, the pre-amp signal is passed directly to the
line output. This allows for the primary subwoofer to control
the signal sent to the secondary subwoofer(s). All ltering,
Manual EQ, and level control will be passed to the second-
ary subwoofers. When selecting Subwoofer Mode, the user
must select the unit as a primary or secondary subwoofer(s).
a. Primary: This should be used for the rst subwoofer in the
daisy chain. This subwoofer should be directly connected
to the preamplier/power amplier/head unit.
This subwoofer should be used to control all secondary
subwoofers.
b. Secondary: This should be used on all additional sub-
woofers. All ltering, EQ, and level control will be man-
aged by the primary subwoofer.
