Warranty Information
SWORDFISH 1-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY FOR PARTS AND LABOUR
Swordsh document shredders are warranted against failure or malfunction due to faulty
components or workmanship for a period of one year from the date of purchase by the
original consumer. Defects or failures, which have been caused by incorrect or wrongful use,
regardless whether unintentional or intentional during the operation or maintenance of the device, are
excluded from the warranty. There are no user-serviceable parts inside a Swordsh shredder. Unauthorized
repair or attempts to service the unit will invalidate the warranty.
Oiling is an essential part of shredder maintenance and is necessary in order to maintain the warranty.
Swordsh document shredders have been designed to shred only those materials outlined within the
instructions*.
Non-compliance with Swordsh’s instructions will invalidate the warranty.
For service of the unit under warranty, please return your Swordsh oce machine with proof of purchase
to your dealer or contact Swordsh customer service. In the event of returning the machine under warranty,
suitable packaging must be used. Insucient packaging resulting in damage will invalidate the warranty.
* Please note that shredding sheets fastened by staples or paperclips will progressively wear down the cutting
blades.
For CD/DVD shredding, Swordsh shredders have been designed to shred up to 100 CDs/DVDs during the warranty
period. Damage caused by excessive shredding of fastened sheets, CDs or DVDs is not covered within the warranty.
Return Information
If your product develops a manufacturing fault within its warranty period, the supplier who sold it to you will
in most cases be able to provide you with a replacement, subject to verication of your claim.
If it has not been possible to return the product to where you purchased it from, you can submit a claim
directly to us using the online form at www.swordshsupport.com/warrantyconsumer. Please ensure
you complete all the elds in full and allow at least ve working days for your claim to be assessed. We may
require you to send the item to us for investigation.
Please note that our Troubleshooting Guides under the ‘Support’ menu at www.swordshsupport.com are
able to resolve many common problems. We recommend trying these guides rst before submitting a claim.
