To reduce the risk of electric shock, use only in
portable self-contained fountains no larger than
5 feet in any dimension or 5 feet depth of water.
DO NOT replace the pump cord. An SO or ST
flexible cord is not waterproof and should never
be used. Failure to follow these warnings could
result in electric shock or death.
Warning:
If abnormal noise is heard during
operation (with water):
First disconnect the power supply and then
remove the pump’s front cover and plate.
Use hand to grip the impeller, gently pull the
impeller/rotor assembly out of the pump.
Rinse the impeller/rotor assembly and the
cavity with clean water. If breakage or surface
damage is found on the assembly,
discontinue use.
With low flow rate, the pump will spew
or “burp”:
Check the water level to make sure the pump is
completely submerged.
If the pump fails to run, check the following:
Check the circuit breaker or try a different
outlet to make sure the pump is receiving
electrical power. NOTE: Always disconnect the
pump from the electrical outlet before checking
operation.
Check the pump discharge and tubing for kinks
and obstructions.
Any possible algae buildup can be rinsed out
with garden hose.
Disconnect the power supply and remove the
pump from the water and let dry thoroughly, then
remove the pump’s front cover and plate to
access the impeller area. Carefully turn the rotor
to ensure it is not broken or jammed.
TROUBLESHOOTINGSAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
To reduce risk of electric shock:
Always unplug the pump from the electrical
outlet before cleaning and handling.
ONLY use clean water. Do not use any other type
of liquid. Never let the pump run dry.
OPTION - The pump is supplied with a grounding
conductor and a grounding attachment plug. It
must be connected only to a properly grounded
outlet to reduce the risk of electric shock.
Do not use the pump in water above 86 F or
30 C.
Do not allow any water to run into the
electrical outlet or down the cord towards the
outlet.
Do not lift, carry or pull the pump by the power
cord.
Do not replace the pump cord. Stop using the
pump if it sustains damage.
Do not operate in adverse weather conditions.
To clean the pump:
To keep the water clean:
Operating:
Unplug the pump from electrical outlet. Use a
small soft brush or place it under a water stream to
remove debris.
Periodically change the well water to prevent water
from becoming dirty which may affect the pumps
operation.
Place the pump into the base of the well liner. Make
sure the plastic hose is well attached to the pump
and feeds up the side wall into the base of the upper
bucket. Feed the electrical cord out of the base of the
well making sure it is not pinched or on a wet surface.
Fill the well with enough water to sufficiently cover
the pump and so the well will not run dry or overflow.
Plug the pump into an AC outlet to operate.
