To prevent fire or electric shock hazard, do not expose the base to rain or moisture.
Do not place the kettle or base on an unstable table, stand, tripod, bracket or cart.
The unit may fall, resulting in possible damage or injury.
When boiling water, keep the spout turned inward to prevent burns. Do not touch
any hot surfaces directly and always use the insulated handle. Do not open the lid
while boiling water.
Close supervision is necessary when used near children, infirm adults or animals.
Do not immerse any part of this appliance (or base) in water or other liquid. Do not

before boiling.
This kettle is designed for boiling water only. Using this appliance for anything else
may destroy it.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Q: Why won’t my unit power on?
A: Ensure that it is seated properly on the base and base is plugged in. When seated
properly, the kettle should sit flush on top of the base.
Q: Why does it take so long for water to boil?
A: This depends on the amount of water inside, and the temperature of that water.
(Large amounts of cold water taking the longest to heat up.) It has a powerful heating
element and should boil relatively quickly. If your unit has been working fine but only
developed this problem recently, it could be due to calcium carbonate build-up. See
the “Maintenance” section on previous page to alleviate.
