is extremely low, user must stop driving. In
this case, if user does not stop driving, the
lifespan of the battery would be shortened
signifi cantly.
WARNING!
User should pay attention to the prompt
on the display panel and operate
correspondingly for safety when driving.
2.3.5.3 Battery Charging Steps

detached to charge also.
WARNING!
Please use local standard plug.
Please charge and store the battery
as described in the manual. Improper
operation may cause damage to the
battery and shorten the lifespan of the
battery.
The time to fully charge Robstep X1 is
around 3 hours, and the charger current
will be cut off automatically after full
charge.
The battery has a limited lifespan. After
600 cycles, the capacity declines to 80%
of the original capacity, and the using
time may be shortened rapidly even if
the battery is fully charged.
Please fully charge the battery before fi rst
ride. The battery will discharge gradually
if it is not used for some time.
The battery can be charged before
capacity depletion.
Please charge the battery under 10 to
30 °C as to keep battery at optimum
performance.
It is normal that the battery heats up
after being used for a long time.
In cold places, the driving distance will
be shortened even if used a fully charged
battery.
Please charge in clean and dry
environment.
Please do not charge if the charging port
is wet.
Please do not throw the battery into fi re,
heat the battery, or store the battery
under high temperature.
Please do not throw the battery into
water. Store it under dry conditions.
Please do not insert conductive articles
into charging port, which may result in
damage to internal electronic devices.
Do not modify the battery.
2.3.5.4 Direction for Using Battery Lock
Insert key into the keyhole, press the key
slightly and rotate counter clockwise to
lock the battery.
2.3.5.5 Ultra-High or Ultra-Low Temperature
When the working temperature of the
battery is within the recommended
temperature described in above battery
specifi cation, Robstep X1 will operate at
highest effi ciency.
The temperature before and during
charge must be within above mentioned
working temperature range. When the
temperature is within the recommended
value, the charging effi ciency will be
higher. If the temperature is too low
or too high, the charging time will be
extended or the battery can not be fully
charged.
Under low temperature, the driving
distance will be shortened.

3.2 Safety Notice
WARNING!
Please read the manual carefully for safe
driving. You can learn a lot of important
information through it.
Before using, please install every part
correctly to protect Robstep X1 from
damage during use.
Please do not use Robstep X1 to injure
any persons or damage any property.
Please do not change or modify any parts
of Robstep X1 randomly.
3.2.1 Weight Limit for User
The minimum weight limit for user: 20 kg
The maximum weight limit for user: 100 kg
3.2.2 Maximum Driving Distance
The maximum driving distance of Robstep
X1 is 25 km. However, it is aff ected by many
factors, such as:
Road Condition: The driving distance will
increase if user drives on fl at road. If user
drives on hilly or bumpy road, the driving
distance will decrease.
Speed & Driving Habits: The driving
distance will increase if user keeps the
driving speed stable. If user starts, stops,
accelerates or decelerates frequently, the
driving distance will decrease.
Weight of User.
Temperature: If driving under
recommended temperature, the driving
distance will increase. Otherwise, the
driving distance will decrease.
3.2.3 Speed Limit
The maximum speed is 20km/h.
3.2.4 Brake Description
If braking under high-speed driving,
please do not use front brake fi rst as to
avoid danger.
58
3.2.5 Using Environment
3.2.5.1 Driving under High or Low
Temperature Environment
When user drives Robstep X1 under high
temperature, parts such as motor will
heat up obviously, which may aff ect the
performance and lifespan of Robstep
X1. When the temperature of parts rises
to over 50°C, the speed limit decreases.
The decrease value depends on the
actual temperature. If you experience the
maximum speed reducing, allow your
Robstep X1 to cool down before you
continue using it.
When user drives under low temperature
environment, lubrication of movable
parts will be aff ected, and the resistance
will increase. Meanwhile, the discharge
speed and capacity of battery will decline
obviously. Therefore, please do not use
Robstep X1 violently below -5°C, which
may cause injury from losing control or
falling.
3.2.5.2 Uphill or Downhill Driving
The maximum uphill and downhill angle
is 15°. User should pay attention to the
slope.
When user drives uphill, Robstep X1
works with heavy loads, parts in the
system heat up rapidly, and the battery
is under a heavy load status. The lifespan
and capacity of the battery will be
shortened if driving uphill for a long time,
thus driving uphill for a long time is not
recommended. In addition, due to the
heavy load, the system will automatically
decrease the maximum driving speed for
safety.
Over-speed downhill driving should
be avoided entirely. When user drives
downhill, the system may be under
energy recovery mode depending on
the slope and load, and thus continuous
downhill driving is helpful to increase
the driving distance. When the capacity
of battery is full, continuous downhill
driving may cause an overcharge of the
battery and even damage to the battery.
The system will automatically decrease
the maximum driving speed as to reduce
the possibility of overcharge.
3.2.5.3 Warning on Raining & Snowing
Conditions
Riding at snow and heavy rain weather
should be avoided.
Do not ride in deep water.
3.3 Other Safety Notices
Its forbidden to use battery or
accessories of other brands. If any
accident incurred due to misuse, it is not
within warranty scope.
Modifi cation of Robstep X1 voids
warranty. Any loss resulting from
modifi cation, Robstep will not be
responsible. If there is any glitch, please
contact Robstep or its appointed agents.
Destroying the labels on the battery
or on the body of Robstep X1 voids
warranty.
