Le test ”récipient”
Votre table à induction est capable de reconnaître la plupart des récipients.
Poser votre récipient sur une zone de chauffe en puissance 4, si l’afficheur reste
fixe votre récipient est compatible, s’il clignote votre récipient n’est pas utili-
sable en induction.
Vous pouvez aussi vous servir d’un aimant, s’il «n’accroche pas» le récipient, ce-
lui-ci est incompatible avec l’induction.

Conseils pratiques
Le choix de la bonne allure de cuisson et de la durée de cuisson nécessite une certaine
expérience. Nous vous conseillons de noter au fur et à mesure les temps et allures utilisés
pour chaque mets.
Utilisez plutôt une position inférieure pour éviter que les aliments n’attachent et remuez la
préparation fréquemment.
Avec la table à induction, l'arrêt de la cuisson est immédiat : dès que l'on coupe
l'alimentation, l'émission de chaleur est interrompue (pratiquement aucune inertie autre que
celle de la casserole).
La montée et la baisse en température sont quasi instantanées. Les réactions immédiates
aux modifications du règlage facilitent la pratique culinaire.
En raison de l'efficacité de l'appareil, il est déconseillé de laisser un récipient vide sur la
zone de chauffe.

Turning the hob
Locate the keypad touch controls which correspond to the cooking zone you are
going to use.
Press the "on" touch control .
Press the touch control for the power setting required
Your cooking zone has heating power levels from 50 W to 2.8 kW.
You can select a power level to suit your requirements exactly by keeping your
finger on the or touch control or a pre-selected power level by one
quick press of the following touch controls:
Maximum : the display shows 12
High: the display shows 10
Medium: the display shows 6
Additional features of cooking zone 1 (diam. 280 mm)
This cooking zone immediately recognises and adjusts itself to the diameter of the pan
in use from 120 to 320 mm so that the pan is heated as efficiently as possible.
A dot on the power level display indicates that the 2 concentric cooking
zones are operating.
Simultaneous use of 2 cooking zones
(1-3 or 2-4)
These two zones have a total of 2800 W of power available, distributed
automatically between zones 1-3 and 2-4.
This means that when one zone is being used at maximum, the power of the other
is automatically reduced.
The most recent instruction always takes priority (1-2).
NB: simultaneous use of cooking zones 1-3
Cooking zone 3 takes priority which means:
- when it is switched on, the power to cooking zone 1 is automatically reduced
(only the centre zone is operational)
- when it is switched off, cooking zone 1 should be switched off and on again
if you wish to use the 2 concentric zones.

Adjusting the power during cooking
You can alter the power setting at any time during cooking:
To increase power from minimum setting (1) to maximum setting (12)
To reduce power from maximum setting (12) to minimum setting (1) without
turning off the cooking zone.
To adjust quickly, keep your finger on the selected touch control.
Programming a cook time
Only available on cooking zones 1 and 2 (maximum duration 99 minutes).
However, they can be used without the timer.
As soon as you press the touch controls on the timer, it switches on and
the duration selected (in minutes) appears on the display .
To set the cook time more quickly, keep your finger on the + or - touch control.
NB
The illuminated display shows the cook time remaining.
You can alter the time set on the timer at any point during cooking by
pressing the + / - touch controls on the timer.
When the time has run out, the cooking zone turns off and the display
disappears.
You will then hear some intermittent "beeps".
Press any touch control on the keypad to turn them off.
Simultaneous use of 2 cooking zones 1-3 and 2-4
These two zones have a total of 2800 W of heating power available,

This means that when one zone is being used at maximum, the power of the
other is automatically reduced.
NB. Cooking zone 3, diameter 180, takes priority and, when it is switched on,
causes the large cooking zone 1 (280) to be reduced automatically: only the

Which types of pan are most suitable?
You probably already have some suitable pans.

An enamelled base will prevent the ceramic top on your hob from being scratched.

Most stainless steel pans are suitable for induction cooking if they pass the pan
test (casseroles, saucepans, frying pan, deep fryer, etc.).

The “pan” test
Your induction hob is able to recognise most types of pan.
Place your pan on a heating zone, at position 4 for example. If the display does
not flash your pan is compatible, but if it flashes then your pan cannot be used
for induction cooking.
You can also use a magnet: if it does not “stick” to the pan, then the pan is not
suitable for induction cooking.

Using your hob correctly
You will obtain best results by using a pan of which the diameter is close to the size
of the cooking zone indicated on the ceramic top.
Using a pan with a smaller diameter is quite acceptable and does not cause a loss of
energy, unlike other, standard hobs (electricity, gas).
The pan must always be centred on the cooking zone.
Cooking zone 1 (large zone) enables you to use a larger pan for the same amount of
food (best results with pans with a base greater than 260 mm) which means heat dis-
tribution is improved and cooking is more even.
Precautions for use
When you use a pan with a non-stick lining (Teflon type) to cook with no fat or very
little, preheat it at setting 9 or 10 for a moment.
Never use setting 11 or 12 as you may damage your pan.
Never heat up an unopened tin, it may explode (this advice applies to all other
cooking systems).
You are advised not to place metal cooking utensils, cutlery, knives and similar me-
tal objects on the hob. They may become hot if they are near a cooking zone in
which the inductor is functioning.
Do not use the hob as a storage area.
When cooking,
never use aluminium foil
and never place products wrapped in aluminium foil
directly on the induction hob.
The aluminium will melt and damage
your appliance irreparably.
For the attention of wearers of pacemakers and active implants:
The functioning of the hob is in conformity with current standards on electromagnetic
interference.
Your induction hob also fully complies with the legal requirements (EC directives
89/336/EEC). It has been designed not to interfere with the operation of other electrical
appliances as long as these comply with the same legislation.
Your induction hob generates magnetic fields in its immediate area.
So that there is no interference between your hob and a pacemaker, the latter must be
designed in conformity with the relevant regulations.
In this respect, we can only guarantee the conformity of our own product.
Insofar as the conformity of the pacemaker or any incompatibility is concerned, you should
consult its manufacturer or your doctor.

You are worried that your hob is not functioning
properly...
Call your After Sales Service.
Check the connections and that the
mains connection are correct.
This is quite normal
The electronic circuit is malfunctioning.
Your hob has been wrongly connected.
Your hob has been wrongly connected.
This is caused by the distribution of power
between two induction cooking zones.
The electronic system is being cooled.
See section on selecting pans.
The pan you are using is unsuitable for
cooking by induction or has a diameter
less than 12 cm.
Inspect the fuses and the circuit
breaker.
The appliance has no power. Either the
power supply or the connection is faulty.
The hob does not work, the timer is displaying
another message.
When you switch the appliance on, your mains
cuts out.
When you switch it on, only one side of your hob
functions.
Your hob makes a slight clicking noise.
The fan continues operating for a few minutes after

After having switched on a cooking zone, the lights

Practical advice
Choosing the right setting and cooking time requires a certain amount of experience.
We recommend that you note down times and settings used for each type of dish.
Use a low setting where possible, to prevent food from sticking and stir the pan contents
regularly.
With an induction hob, cooking can be stopped immediately: as soon as the power is turned
off, heat ceases to be produced (only the saucepan remains hot).
Rise and fall in temperature are virtually instantaneous. This immediate reactivity to changes
in the settings makes cooking much easier.
Due to the efficiency of the appliance, you are advised not to leave an empty pan on the
heating zone.

which the installation and connection have been carried out by you, in accordance
with current regulations and legislation. Failure to comply with this condition will

commercial company.
The heat produced by their operation causes these appliances to be rated type
Y -

Precautions
Protection against Type Y heating in accordance with IEC/CEI 335-2-6
Please comply scrupulously with the following points:
The walls above the worktop and immediately next to the hob must be heat-resistant.
Laminated surfaces and the glues used to fix them must be heat-resistant to avoid any
deterioration.
The cool air gap located underneath and to the rear of the hob is there to increase its
reliability by ensuring that it remains cool in all types of fitting arrangement.
Your hob must not be installed above a washing machine, refrigerator or freezer.
Fitting the hob into the worktop
The J seal provides is used for sealing of the work surface.
-This seal is stuck under your table. Insert the table directly into the cut-out.
-This seal is supplied in the pouch, stick it under the table. (fig. below).

In all cases your hob needs to be well ventilated
Make sure that the air entry by the ventilator grid at the back and the air exit
underneath the hob are never blocked.
The hob must not be fitted over a washing machine, a fridge or a freezer.

As the oven has top ventilation, it may be
installed in the upper position.
Remove the front crosspiece of the
unit to allow a space of at least 4 mm
Make an air entry of 40 sq.cm. in the
left- or right-hand wall of the oven unit

Reminder : the thermal safety devices of
the hob will not allow it to be used while the
oven is being cleaned by pyrolysis
Over an oven DE DIETRICH
You must install an insulation kit (75 x
1652) between the oven and the hob
(available from your dealer's After-Sales
Service).
With this configuration, the oven can be
fitted in the unit in the lower position
only
