GENERAL INFORMATION

FFGC - FLEXIBLE GASLINE

CONNECTOR KIT

This ﬂexible gasline connector kit is designed to aid in attaching gas

ﬁreplaces to the gas supply. This kit can only be used where local codes

permit.

The components in this kit are rated for both natural and liquiﬁed pe-

troleum gases.

See Figure 1, below, for a description of the components provided in

the kit. The kit also contains these instructions.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR FLEXIBLE GASLINE CONNECTOR KIT

(CATALOG NO. 93L32, MODEL NO. FFGC) FOR USE WITH IHP GAS FIREPLACES

Step 1. Shut off the gas and the electrical power supply to the ﬁreplace

before proceeding.

Make leak-free connections as detailed below -

Step 2. Attach the 3/8” NPT end of the ﬁtting provided in the kit to the

ﬁreplace gas valve.

Step 3. Attach the ﬂexible connector to the 3/8” ﬂare end of this ﬁtting.

Step 4. Route the ﬂexible connector carefully around any obstructions

in the control compartment towards the roughed-in gas supply

line.

Step 5. Finish bringing the gas supply line to within reach of the ﬂexible

gas connector and attach the shutoff valve to the gas supply

line and then the ﬂexible gas connector to it.

Step 6. Proceed with the ﬁreplace installation as detailed in the instal-

lation and operation manual provided with it.

TO AVOID PIPE COMPOUNDS FROM ENTERING THE SYSTEM,

APPLY COMPOUNDS ONLY TO MALE PIPE THREADS. DO NOT

APPLY COMPOUNDS TO THE FIRST TWO THREADS.

IMPORTANT:

COMPOUNDS USED ON THREADED JOINTS OF GAS PIP-

ING MUST BE RESISTANT TO THE ACTIONS OF LIQUIFIED
