Lunt Solarsystems LS130TBP&F conversion kit for LS130MT allows you to convert your LS130MT/B3400 H-Alpha telescope into a true 3-lens ED Apo refractor, capable of observing the starry night sky, the sun in white-light, or the sun in Calcium-K wavelength with the addition of a Herschel-Wedge or LS130 Ca-K filter module.

The conversion kit includes a 2" focuser with a 10:1 reduction and an adapter to the LS130MT telescope. It is easy to install, simply remove the H-alpha module from the rear of the telescope tube and install the focuser in its place.

Conversion Kit
Focuser with Adapter for LS130MT-Telescopes
This conversion kit was specially designed for the LS130MT/B3400 H-Alpha telescope. The conversion kit can
also be used at the LS130MT/B1200 and LS130MT/B1800 telescopes, but it is not necessary there. This
conversion kit is only necessary at the LS130MT/B3400, because at this telescope the blocking filter is fix
installed inside the focuser.
You can exchange easily the H-alpha system in the LS130MT against this focuser. So it is possible to observe
the starry night sky - with the same telescope.
The LS130MT then becomes a true 3-lens ED Apo refractor!
But there is more: with the new focuser and a Herschel-Wedge the LS130MT can also be used to observe the
sun in white-light, or together with the LS130 Ca-K filter module for solar observing in Calcium-K wavelength!
This focuser with adapter is designed especially for the LS130MT H-alpha telescope, therefore it can only be
used with a LS130MT Solar Telescope.
Warning
Do not remove any filter module from the LS130MT telescope while it is pointed at the sun!
Do not point the LS130MT at the sun if the new focuser is installed!
There will be no more solar filter inside the LS130MT if the new focuser is installed (see installing instructions
below). So you can use the LS130MT as real 3-lens Apo refractor telescope for observing the starry night sky.
If you want to observe the sun you have to install again the Feather-Touch focuser with the H-alpha module, or
you need a additional solar filter like our Herschel-wedges or LS130 Ca-K filter module.
Installing the new focuser at the LS130MT
The LS130MT is delivered with the H-alpha module assembled into the rear of the telescope tube. This H-alpha
module is recognized as the red housing with the Pressure Tuner assembly attached. The H-alpha module can
be removed by loosening the 3 aluminum thumb screws between the module and the rear of the telescope tube.
The H-alpha module is heavy. Make sure you have firm grip on the module before loosening the thumb screws.
Once the screws are loosened, the H-alpha module will slip back and out of the telescope tube assembly.

Now install the large black extension tube that was delivered with the LS130MT at the telescope tube. The new
focuser can now be inserted into this extension tube. Hand tighten the thumb screws.
Now you can use the Apo telescope for observing the starry night sky, of course also for astro-photography. You
can use any normal star-diagonals, eyepieces, cameras, and other accessories.
