How your Air Purifier Works

The Nutri-Tech air purifier has an exclusive multi-stage full spectrum

purification system . . . this means as air passes through the unit, it is cleaned

MULTIPLE times! The cartridge is an innovative, technological breakthrough

incorporating the following stages:

Carefully remove the unit from the carton and remove and discard the

plastic bag covering the unit. Please read the warning label at the end of

the electrical plug, and leave it in place for the life of your unit (Fig. 3).

El purificador de aire Nutri-TechTM tiene un sistema de purificación exclusivo

STAGES 1-5 Technology I : Arrestance / Capture

Stage 1. Washable Pre-filter - 20 micron & Above. Is a green woven polyester

sponge material designed to trap hair and lint.

Stage 2. Washable Pre-filter - 15 Micron & Above. Is a gray sponge layer of

woven polyester to capture particles 15 microns and larger.

Stage 3. Washable Pre-filter - 10 Micron & Above. Is a white advanced woven

filter designed to capture 10 micron and larger particles (pollen).

Typical pre-filters used in other competitive brand products would use only 1 sponge

layer as found in Carico’s second pre-filter stage. This multi-stage pre-filter prolongs

the life of the main sub micron filter that follows.

Stage 4. Microgrip - 5 Micron & Above. The Microgrip tactified filter is a blue

tightly woven filter impregnated with microgrip adhesive material to capture particles

5micron and larger that would pass through the pre-filter into the main filter cartridge.

This prolongs the life of the HEPA filter.

Stage 5. HEPA - 0.3 Micron & Above. The HEPA filter is a white pleated high

efficiency filter for capturing particles as small as 0.3 micron.

5TECHNOLOGIES - 10 STAGES

STAGE 6 Technology II : Microbial Control/Neutralization

Stage 6. Antimicrobial - Growth/Microbial Control.Antimicrobial filter is a yel-

low filter treated with an antimicrobial substance and destroys possible surviving

microorganisms.

STAGE 7 - 8 Technology III : Adsorption

Stage 7. High Capacity Activated Carbon Filter.This is the first level of VOC,

gas and chemical absorbing stage of the system.

Stage 8. GWMX Filter.The GWMX filter is a high density 100% woven fabric that

consists of millions of tiny pores increasing the surface area for toxic gas and chemi-

cal absorption. This GWMX material is not used in any other air cleaning system in the

world in combination with other stages that are included in Carico’s air system.

STAGE - 9 Technology IV : Ionization

9. Ionization.This ionization feature emits a mild charge that acts on the air stream

to freshen stale room air.

STAGE - 10 Technology V : Oxidation

10. Oxidation.Oxidation functions as a dual purpose air purification process by

deodorizing and sterilizing. When the system is set on the low output and in a 15-

minute on/off sequence, it can be used to deodorize an area that may be occupied. In

unoccupied environments, the system can be set on high output and run 24-hours to

surface decontaminate mold and fungi as well as handle heavy odors.

ETAPAS 1-5 ITecnología: Atrapar / Capturar

Etapa 1. Prefiltro lavable - 20 micrones y más. Actúa como una esponja

hecha de poliester entretejido color verde diseñada para atrapar pelusa y cabellos.

Etapa 2. Prefiltro lavable - 15 micrones y más. Actúa como una esponja

hecha de poliester entretejido color gris que atrapa partículas de 15 micrones o

más.

Etapa 3. Prefiltro lavable - 10 micrones y más. Es un filtro blanco entretejido

diseñado para atrapar partículas de 10 micrones o más (polen).

Los prefiltros utilizados por las marcas de la competencia, solamente usan una capa

como esponja como la etapa 2 del prefiltro de Carico. Este prefiltro de múltiples eta-

pas prolonga la vida del filtro principal submicrónico que le sigue.

Etapa 4. MicrogripTM -5micrones y más. El filtro adhesivo MicrogripTM es de

un material entretejido de color azul impregnado con una materia adhesiva

MicrogripTM para capturar partículas de 5 micrones o más que pasarán a través del

prefiltro hacia el filtro principal. Esto prolonga la vida del filtro HEPA.

Etapa 5. HEPA - 3 micrones y más. El filtro HEPA es un filtro de alta capacidad

de pliegues blancos que capturan partículas tan pequeñas como 3 micrones.

Etapa 6 II Tecnología: Control microbiano / Neutralización

Etapa 6. Antimicróbico - Desarrollo/Control microbiano.El filtro antimi-

cróbico es de color amarillo y está procesado con una sustancia antimicróbica y

destruye cualquier microorganismo que haya sobrevivido.

Etapas 7 - 8 III Tecnología: Adsorción

Etapa 7. Filtro de carbón activado de alta capacidad.Es la etapa que

absorbe el primer nivel de VOC(compuestos orgánicos volátiles), gas y químicos en

el sistema.

Etapa 8. Filtro GWMX.Es una tela 100% entretejida de alta densidad que con-

siste de millones de diminutos poros que aumenta la superficie para la absorción de

gases tóxicos y químicos. Este material no es utilizado en ningún otro purificador de

aire en el mundo en combinación con las otras etapas que se incluyen en el sistema

de purificación de aire de Carico.

Etapa - 9 IV Tecnología: Ionización

9. Ionización.Esta característica emite una carga ligera que actúa sobre la co-

rriente de aire para refrescar el aire cargado de la habitación.

Etapa - 10 VTecnología : Oxidación

10. Oxidación.La oxidación tiene una función doble en el proceso de purificación

del aire, la de desodorizar y esterilizar. Cuando el sistema está en la velocidad baja

ycon la secuencia de los 15 minutos “ON/OFF”, puede utilizarse para desodorizar un

área que este ocupada. En ambientes desocupados, puede utilizar la unidad en

velocidad alta y dejarlo correr por 24-horas para descontaminar de moho y hongos

como también olores fuertes.

Operation

The operation of the unit is simple. Plug unit into a properly grounded 120V, 60HZ power

source. To turn it on, press the electronic control switch marked “ON/Speed” to the desired

low, medium or high speed (Fig. 6) - this will automatically turn on your ionization stage as

well. OR you can use your remote control (Fig. 7a) if you own the “Deluxe Model” (Fig. 7).

NOTE: DO NOT PLACE ANY ITEMS ON TOP OF UNIT

With its own separate power source, deodorizer settings (Fig. 7b) can be set for 15 minute

on/off sequences (suggested for occupied areas) or 2, 4, or 24 hour settings (suggested for

unoccupied areas). The ozone output (Fig. 7c) is located in the rear of upper cabinet and can

be set for low or high. Low is suggested for occupied areas and high for unoccupied areas. See

Stage 10 on page 4 for more information. Note: When in the 15 minute on/off setting, light will

remain on throughout the ozone on/off cycling and does not shut off automatically as it does

for the other time settings.

Care and Maintenance: The Nutri-Tech Air Purifier is easy to maintain. Approx. every 3

months, the filter check light on your control panel will turn on and a soft audible beeping will

be heard. It is time to check your pre-filter/cartridge. To reset the filter check system, just press

and hold the “Reset” button on the control panel until light flashes 5 times. Clean the pre-filter

by either dry-vacuum or by washing it with a hose or in the sink. Be sure it is completely dry

before placing it back in the unit. Your main filter should be replaced every 12 months or earli-

er if you feel it is needed. It is easy to remove and completely disposable.

Modo de empleo:

Utilizar está unidad es muy fácil. Enchúfela a un tomacorrientes de 120V, 60HZ. Para

encenderla, presione el botón que dice “ON/Speed” para la velocidad baja, mediana o alta

(Foto. 6) - esto automáticamente encenderá la etapa de ionización también. O si lo desea,

utilize el control remoto (Foto 7a) si tiene el modelo “de Lujo” (Foto 7)

NOTA:NO COLOQUE NADA ENCIMA DE LA UNIDAD

¡ADVERTENCIA! “NO UTILIZE UN CABLE DE EXTENSIÓN” ESTÁ UNIDAD

TIENE UN ENCHUFE DE TIERRA PARA EVITAR UNA DESCARGA ELÉCTRICA.

Las opciones del desodorizador (Foto 7b) pueden programarse para encenderse y apa-

garse cada 15 minutos (sugerido para áreas ocupadas) ó 2, 4, ó 24 horas (sugerido para

áreas desocupadas). El botón para el ozono (Foto 7c) se encuentra en la parte de atrás

de la parte superior del gabinete y puede fijarlo alto o bajo. Vea la etapa 10 en la pági-

na #4 para más información.

Cuidado y Mantenimiento: Estas unidades son fáciles de mantener.

Aproximadamente cada tres meses, la luz de chequeo en el panel de control se pondrá

intermitente y un leve sonido se escuchará. Esto indica que es tiempo de cambiar el pre-

filtro/cartucho. Para reajustar el sistema de chequeo del filtro, presione el botón que dice

“Reset” hasta que la luz encienda 5 veces. Ya que el prefiltro se puede limpiar con la aspi-

radora o lavarlo en el fregadero, asegúrese de secarlo totalmente antes de colocarlo de

nuevo en la unidad. El filtro principal debe ser reemplazado cada 12 meses o antes si lo

considera necesario. Este es fácil de quitar y totalmente deshechable.
