Slopesareamajorfactorrelatedtolossofcontroland

Operationonallslopesrequiresextracaution.Ifyoucannot
backuptheslopeorifyoufeeluneasyonit,donotmowit.
•Donotmowslopesgreaterthan15degrees.
•Watchforholes,ruts,bumps,rocks,orotherhidden
objects.Uneventerraincouldoverturnthemachine.Tall
grasscanhideobstacles.
•Choosealowgroundspeedsoyouwillnothavetostop
whileoperatingonaslope.
•Donotmowslopeswhengrassiswet.Slippery
conditionsreducetractionandcouldcauseslidingand
lossofcontrol.
•Avoidstarting,stopping,orturningonaslope.Ifthetires
losetraction,disengagetheblade(s)andproceedslowly
straightdowntheslope.
•Alwayskeepthedrivewheelsengagedwhengoingdown

•ChecktheareatobemowedandneverfoldtheROPSin

Children
Tragicaccidentscanoccuriftheoperatorisnotalerttothe
presenceofchildren.Childrenareoftenattractedtothe
machineandthemowingactivity.Neverassumethatchildren
willremainwhereyoulastsawthem.
•Keepchildrenoutofthemowingareaandinthewatchful
careofaresponsibleadultotherthantheoperator.
•Bealertandturnthemachineoffifchildrenenterthe
area.
•Beforeandwhilebackingorchangingdirection,look
behind,down,andside-to-sideforsmallchildren.
•Nevercarrychildren,evenwiththebladesoff.Theymay
falloffandbeseriouslyinjuredorinterferewithsafe
machineoperation.
•Childrenwhohavebeengivenridesinthepastmay
suddenlyappearinthemowingareaforanotherrideand
berunoverorbackedoverbythemachine.
•Neverallowchildrentooperatethemachine.
•Useextremecarewhenapproachingblindcorners,end
