1 . GENERAL OPERATIONAL DESCRIPTION
Compaible with:
ESIM364 v02.16.00 and up.
ESIM384 all versions
PITBULL ALARM v2.05.00 and up.
PITBULL ALARM PRO all versions.
EWP3 is a wireless device intended to secure the premises by moion detecion. Due to the dual element technology of a built-in PIR sensor, the device
features the pet immunity against the animals of up to 40 kg weight in order to prevent them from causing false alarms while moving within the secured
premises. In addiion, EWP3 comes equipped with 2 built-in tamper switches for sabotage detecion. Due to the power saving mode, batery operaion
ime last up to 2 imes longer. In order to start using EWP3, it has to be paired with ELDES alarm system using ELDES Coniguraion sotware or by
sending a corresponding SMS text message to ELDES alarm system.
It is possible to pair up to 16 EWP3 devices with PITBULL ALARM and PITBULL ALARM PRO systems, while with ESIM364 and ESIM384 alarm systems
- up to 32 EWP3 devices at a ime. The maximum wireless connecion range is 3000m (9842,5t) ( (in open areas).

2. CONFIGURING AND PAIRING WITH THE SYSTEM
ELDES
Coniguraion
sotware
For more details on how to conigure and pair the device with the system, please refer to ELDES Coniguraion
sotware’s documentaion or ELDES alarm system’s installaion/user manual located at www.eldesalarms.com
If you are unable to pair the wireless device, please restore the parameters of the wireless device to default and try again (see 7. RESTORING
DEFAULT PARAMETERS for more details.)
Once the 5-second period ater the batery acivaion has passed, EWP3 device will start indicaing the pairing status. Single long lash
of the indicator (approx. 1 sec. length) represents the unpaired wireless device status suggesing the device can be paired with the alarm
system, while the 3 short lashes represent the wireless device that is paired with the alarm system.
3. EWP3 ZONE AND TAMPERS
Upon successful EWP3 pairing process, the system adds 1 wireless Instant zone intended for movement detecion.
In case of tamper violaion, the alarm is caused regardless of system being armed or disarmed. There are 2 ways to detect tamper violaion on EWP3:
By tamper switch. EWP3 comes equipped with 2 built-in tamper switches intended for enclosure supervision:
one located on the front side of the PCB supervising the front cover in case it is illegally opened.
19
EWP3 WIRELESS MOTION DETECTOR
the other one located on back of the PCB supervising the back side of the enclosure in case the EWP3 is illegally removed from the holder (NOTE: In case you
mount the device without a holder (see images on pages 12-15), please make sure that you set a jumper posiion on the DIS-TAMP2 pin of the back tamper
switch to disable it).
Once the enclosure of EWP3 is tampered, the tamper switch will become triggered. This acion will be followed by alarm, resuling in sending an SMS text
message and/or phone call to the user. The SMS text message contains the violated tamper number.
By wireless connecion loss. The wireless connecion loss between EWP3 and ELDES alarm system leads to alarm. The system ideniies this event as a tamper
violaion and sends alarm by SMS text message and phone call to the user (-s) by default. The SMS text message contains the wireless device model, wireless
ID code and tamper number
4. TEMPERATURE SENSOR
The device comes equipped with a built-in temperature sensor allowing to monitor the temperature of the area surrounding EWP3 device. When using the with
PITBULL ALARM or PITBULL ALARM PRO alarm systems, you may set the MIN and MAX temperature thresholds ranging from -10°C to +55°C resuling in a
noiicaion delivery to the listed user and/or PGM output acion (turn ON/OFF; only on ESIM364 and ESIM384) once exceeded.
5. POWER SAVING MODE
EWP3 comes up with a power saving mode feature( by default, mode is enabled). This feature helps to save more device’s batery life when there is no need for
movement detecion . Keep in mind that this mode can funcion only when certain condiions are applied (see table on page 20):
During the acivaion and deacivaion of the movement detecion feature some delay might occur, depending on the set test ime period (by
default, test ime is set at 1 min).
20
EWP3 WIRELESS MOTION DETECTOR
For the purpose of tesing this mode might be ignored when using Coniguraion sotware or if the service mode is enabled.
When the power saving mode is enabled, the system can be armed even if any movement is detected in the guarded premises. Ater the
successful arming process, PIR sensor awakes; in case the PIR sensor detects any movement, then the system will cause an alarm. If it is
important for user to monitor the premises during the arming process, then we strongly recommend NOT to use the power saving mode.
