Read these safety instructions carefully before using the receiver. Heed all warnings and
notices on the device and in the user guide.
3.1 Basic safety instructions
Electrical connection
• Intheeventofoperatingmalfunctions,disconnectthereceiverfromthepowersource.
Note: Even when switched off at the mains switch on the back, the receiver is still
energized.
• Topreventtheriskoffireandelectricshock,donotexposethereceivertorainorany
other source of moisture.
• Neveropenthedevicecover.Otherwise,youruntheriskofelectricshock.
• Connect the receiver only to a professionally installed mains socket (220–240 V
~
,
50–60 Hz).
• Thetotalcurrentdrawatthe„LNBIN“antennaconnectiononthereceivermustnot
exceed 300 mA.
• Unplugthereceiverifunusedforextendedperiodsoftime.Tounplug,grasptheplug
only; do not pull on the cable.
• Unplugthereceiverduringlightningstorms.
• RemovetheLNBcablefromthereceiverduringlightningstorms.
• Ifliquidhasbeenspilledorobjectshavefallenintothereceiver,unplugthemainslead
immediately. Have the device servicedbyqualified service personnel beforeusingit
again. Otherwise, you run the risk of electric shock.
• Makesurethepowersource(mainssocket)iseasilyaccessible.
• Donotcompressorpinchthemainslead.
• If the mains lead is damaged, have the receiver serviced by qualified service
personnel before using it again. Otherwise, you run the risk of electric shock.
• Neverletchildrenusethereceiverunsupervisedorplaywiththeantennasystem.
• Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Otherwise, you place yourself and
others at risk.
• Intheeventofoperatingmalfunctions,disconnectthereceiverfromthepowersource.
• Obtainallreplacementpartsfromthemanufacturer.
• Ifanychangesaremadetothedevice,themanufacturerisabsolvedofallliability.
• Removeallprotectivefilm.

Disconnection from the mains: Disconnection from the mains: The standby button on
this device does not fully disconnect the device from the mains. In standby mode, the
device continues to draw power. The only way to fully disconnect the device from the
mains is to unplug it from the wall socket.
