removingthetwo(2)Allenfixingbolts
withtheenclosedwrench.Discardthis
item.
4. Alignthefrontstabilize
rassembly(K)withthereceivermountedtotheframeand
looselyinstalltwo(2)setsoftheAllenboltsandcurvedwasherassemblies(I1&
I2)throughtheframeandintothefrontstabilizer(K).
5. Looselyinstalltwo(2)setsoftheAllenboltandflatwasherassemblie
s(I1&I4)
throughtheundersideoftheframereceiverandintofrontstabilizer(K).
6. Repeatthesestepsfortherearstabilizer(L).Looselyinstalltwo(2)setsofAllen
boltandcurvedwasherassemblies(I1&I2),followedbythetw
o(2)setsofAllen
boltandflatwasherassemblies(I2&I5).
7. Tightenalleight(8)Allenbolts(I1)firmlywiththeprovidedAllenwrenchtofix
thefrontandrearstabilizers.

14. Identifytheleftandrightpedals.Theendsofthepedalaxlesaremarkedwithan“L”forleftand“R”forright.Installtherightpedal
(C13R)intotherightcrankbyhand,rotatingtheaxleinaclockwisedirection.
15. Threadtheleftpedal(C13L)intotheleftcrankbyhandinacounterclockwisedirection.
16. Usetheenclosedpedalwrenchtofirmlyaffixthepedalstothecranks.Retightenpedalsafterapproximatelyten(10)hoursofuse.
17. Tightentheleft&rightcrankfixingbolts(C22)withtheenclosedAllenwrench.Retightenafterapproximatelyten(10)hoursofuse.

assemblies(I9&I4)throughthehandlebarand(N)andintotheholesatthebaseoftheseatmast(J).Whenallboltsareenga

tightenfirmlywiththeprovideAllenwrench.

cablesintotheconsolemast.
5. Reinstallthefour(4)remainingPhillipsscrews(A
2)throughthebacksideoftheconsolehinge
cover(A1)andtightenfirmly.
6. Alignthehandlebarassembly(B2)infrontofthe
clampnearthetopofthecons
olemast(B).Install
thetwo(2)Allenbolt,lockwasherandflatwasher
assemblies(I5,I6&I7)throughthehandlebar
clamp(I10)andintotheconsolemast.Withthe
providedAllenwrench,alternatetighteningthe
two(2)A
llenbolts(I5)sothegapsbetweenthe
consolemastclampandthefrontclampare
equal.Alignandpressthehandlebarclampcover
(I8)intoplace.

FINALINSTALLATION
Moving Uponcompletionoftheassemblysteps,itmaybenecessarytomovetheunit.The910Srisequippedwithanintegrated
transportwheelthatisrecessedintothefrontoftheframe.Tomovetheunit,lifttherearstabilizerupwarduntilthewheels
touchthefloor.Carefullyrolltheunitintoposition;thismaytakemorethanoneperson.
Leveling Ensuretheunitisstableanddoesnotrockfromsidetoside.Levelthefour(4)stabilizerfeet(K3)asneeded.Tomovethe
stabilizertowardthefloor,rotatethestabilizerfootclockwisewhenviewedfromabove.Lockthefeetintoplacebytightening
thejamnut,up
wardagainstthestabilizers.
PowerUp Plugoneendofthepowersupply(Q)intoa120Vpowersource.Plugtheoppositeendintotheinputjack(C18)locatednearthe
flooratthefrontoftheunit.Theunitshouldpowerupatthispoint.
WORKOUTGUIDELINES
GoodHealthisanExerciseinCommonSense
Inthestudytitled,“TheSurgeonGeneral’sCallToActionToPreventandDecreaseOverweightandObesity”,thesurgeongeneralindicates
that61%ofAmericanadultsareeitheroverweightorobese.Thestudyindicatesthatbeingoverweightincreasestheriskofhealthproblems,
suchasheartdisease,certaintypesofcancer,aswellasType2diabetesamongotherafflictions.
HeartRateisanImportantKeytoYourExercise
TheSurgeonGeneralalsoreleasedareportonphysicalactivityandhealth.Thisreportdictatesthatexerciseandfitnessarebeneficialfora
person’shealthandreiteratedtheneedforexerciseasakeycomponentfordiseasepreventionandhealthierliving.
Thebestwaytodetermineexerciseintensityistomonitoryourpulserate.Yourheartratecaneasilybedeterminedbycountingthenumber
ofheartbeatsperminuteatthechest,wristorthecarotidarteryonyourneck.Itisdifficulthowevertocountyourownpulsewhileexercising
asitisnotpossibletocountfastenoughtoaccuratelytrackthenumberofbeatsperminute.ThisDiamondbackFitnessunitisequippedwitha
setoftouchheartratesensors.

Maintainconstantandevenpressureonthegrips.Donotclutchthesensorstightly.
Trytokeepbothhandsstillwhilegripingthetouchheartratesensor.
Makesurethe contactsareclean.

UsingtheWirelessHeartRateReceiver
Ingeneral,awirelessheartratecheststrapisthemostaccurateandconvenientmethodofdetectingandmonitoringaheartratesignalandis
aconsiderableupgradefromthetouchtypeheartratesensors.Occasionally,certainfactorscannegativelyaffecttheaccuratetransmissionof
theheartratesignal.WiFinetworks,cordlesstelephonesandlargeelectricalappliancesmaydegradeorcorruptthesignalsothattherate
appearserraticorimpossiblyhigh.Theonlyremedyforsuchasymptomistoisolatetheunitfrompotentialdisturbances.Additionally,a
person’sbodychemistryorlackofperspiration canpreventthecheststrapfromprovidingastrongoraccurateheartratesignal

ceivingsystemisonefeaturefoundonthisunit.Inorderfortheconsoletodetectanddisplayyourheart
ratewirelessly,four(4)conditionsmustbepresent:
Acompatibleheartratecheststraptransmitter(notincluded)mustbefunctioningandworn.Forproperfunctionofthecheststrap,
pleaserefertothemanufacturer’sinstructions.NoncodedtransmitterssuchasthePolarmodelT31andT34areexamplesof
wirelesscheststrapsknowntobecompatiblewiththisunit.

CalculatedMaximumHeartRate&TargetTrainingZone
Yourtargetheartratedependsprimarilyuponyourage.Itisimportanttoworkwithina
safeandproductivezone,foriftheexerciseintensityistoolowortoohigh,onlymodest
gainswillbemadeinstrengthandcardiovascularfitness.Aworkoutataverylowintensity
willnotoffermaximumbenefits.Conversely,iftheworkoutintensityistoohigh,injuryor
fatiguemayslowtheprogressionofyourexercisegoalsasthebodyattemptstorecover.
Note: Itismosteffectivetotrainataheartratebetween60%and85%ofyour
maximumheartrate.Maximumheartrateiscalculatedasapercentage
ofyourmaximumheartrate(estimatedas220BPMminusyourage).
Tocalculateyourmaximumheartrateandfindtheappropriatetargettrainingzone,usethe
followingformulas.Thefollowingestimationwouldberelevantfora35yearolduser:
22035=185BPM (220Age=CalculatedMaximumHeartRateinBeatsperminute/BPM)
0.60x185=111BPM (60%of185BPM[CalculatedMaximumHeartRate]=111BPM)

Basedonthesecalculations,therecommendedheartratetrainingzoneforthisuserwouldbebetween111BPMand157BPM.Thegraphto

WORKOUTQUALITYANDQUANTITY
Itisrecommendedthatyouaccumulateatleastthirty(30)minutesofphysicalactivitymostdaysoftheweek.TheAmericanCollegeofSports
Medicinemakesthefollowingrecommendationsforthequantityandqualityoftrainingfordevelopingandmaintainingcardiorespiratory
fitnessinhealthyadults:
Anactivitythatuseslargemusclegroups,maint
ainedcontinuously,andisrhythmicalandaerobicinnature.
Duration: 20to60minutesofcontinuousaerobicactivity,includingawarm upandcooldownperiodforeachsession.
Frequency: 3to5timesperweek.
Intensity: 60%to85%ofmaximumheartrate.
Inadditiontoaerobicexerc
ise,strengthtrainingofmoderateintensitytwiceperweekisrecommended.Womenespeciallymaybenefitfrom
weightbearingexercises.Selectactivitiesyouenjoyandcanfitintodailylife.HavingDiamondbackFitnessequipmentathomeoffersyouthe
opportunitytoworkoutwithoutgoingtothegym.
GetaSmartStartonExercising
Anyoneovertheageof35,aswellasyoungerpersonswhomareoverweight,shouldcheckwithhis/herphysicianbeforecommencingan
exerciseprogram.Personswhohavediabetesorhighbloodpressure,afamilyhistoryofheartdisease,highcholesterolorhaveledsedentary
lifestylesshouldprotectthemselveswithamedicalcheckupandstresstestadministeredbyahealthcareprofessional.
Stretchingandmassagingmajormuscles(suchasyourquadriceps)followingaworkoutsessionwillaidinthedissipationoflactic
acidandspeedyourbody’srecovery.
Thefirstfewminutesofyourworkoutshouldbedevotedtowarmingupthemuscle
sbeforeavigorousworkout.Concentrateon
raisingyourheartrateslowly.
Afteranaerobicworkoutofroughly2030minutes,spend10minutesgraduallyreducingyourheartratebymovingslowerorwith
lessresistance.
NOTE: Startslow,withintensitylowuntilyoubuildupenduranceandstrength.Alwaysconsultyourphysicianbefore

TheresistancelevelcurrentlybeingappliedisdisplayedintheLevelfield.Alternatively,theloadorresistancelevelisalsodisplayed
inthedisplaymatrixasaflashingcolumn.Therearethirtytwo(32)resistancelevelstochoosefrom.
TimeDisplays(TotalTime&SegmentTime)
LocatedinthecenteroftheupperdisplayaretheTotalTimeandSegmentTimeclocks.TheTotalTimefieldwillcount
upthetotalelapsedtimeforthecurrentprogram,thenswitchtodisplaythetotaltimeremaining.Thedisplaywill
switchbetweenthesetwovalueseveryfivesecondsunlessthisfeaturedisdisabledbytheuser.Theusercantogglethe
switchingfeatureonandoffbypressingtheRIGHTARROWkey.TheSegmentTimedisplaytimewillalternatethe
displaybetweentheelapsedandremainingtimeforthecurrentsegmentoftheprogram.Thesegmenttimeisequalto

Wattsareameasurementofenergygenerationandarefrequentlyadoptedwithinthefitnessindustrytotracktheamount
ofworkgeneratedatanygiventimeduringaworkout.Wattsarecalculatedwithinputfromtheuser’scurrentSpeedand
Level/Resistance.
HeartRate/Beatsperminute(BPM)
Whentheuser’sheartratesignalisdetectedviatheheartratesensorson
thefixedhandlebarorawirelesstransmitter(suchasacheststrap)theheart
andDBsymbolswillflashandtheuser’scurrentheartratewillbedisplayed.
Iftheuser’sheartratesignalisnotdetected,NoSignalw
illlightandtheheartratedisplaywillpost‐‐‐“.Whenoperatinga
heartratecontrolprogram,TargetHeartRateAchievedwillbelitiftheuser’scurrentheartrateiswithinthe definedrange.
The“DB/Heart”logowillflashtoindicatethataheartratesignalisbeingreceived.

TheHeartRateBarGraphprovidestheuserwithmeaningfulheartratefeedbackinaneasytoreadformat.Whenaheart
ratesignalisdetected,thebarsofthegraphwilllighttoindicateatwhichpercentageoftheuser’smaximumheartrateand
trainingzone(WarmUp,FatBurn,Cardio,orPeak)theuserisoperatingwithin.TheHeartRateBarGraphwillnotlightifthe
userisoperatinginguestmodeornoheartratessignalisdetected.IftheQuickStartprogramisrunning,thedefaultage
valuewillbeusedtocalculatetheestimatedmaximumheartrate.
MatrixDisplay
Whentheconsoleoperatesintheprogramrunmode,thematrixwillgraphicallydisplaythe
resistancelevelandprofilefortheselectedprogram.Ahigherstackrepresentsahigher
resistancelevel,whileaflashingcolumnindicatestheuser’sprogressintheprogramatany
giventime.Eachverticalcolumnrepresentsatimeintervaldeterminedbythetotallength
oftheprogram.Eachcolumnwillequal1/40

ofthetotalprogramlength.Forexample,if
theprogramlengthis30minutes,eachcolumnwillequal45seconds.TheMatrixDisplay
willalsoprovidemessagingandfeedbackduringthesetupmodes.

DistancewillbedisplayedineitherMilesorKilometers,dependingupontheselectionmadeintheconsolesetupmode
