Optimise the use of your gearbox
Withamanualgearbox,moveoffgentlyandchangeupwithoutwaiting.
Duringaccelerationchangeupearly.
Withanautomaticgearbox,givepreferencetoautomaticmodeand
avoidpressingtheacceleratorpedalheavilyorsuddenly.
Control the use of your electrical
equipment
Beforemovingoff,ifthepassengercompartmentistoowarm,
ventilateitbyopeningthewindowsandairventsbeforeusingtheair
conditioning.
Above30mph(50km/h),closethewindowsandleavetheairvents
open.
Remembertomakeuseofequipmentthatcanhelpkeepthetemperature
inthepassengercompartmentdown(sunroofandwindowblinds...).
Switchofftheairconditioning,unlessithasautomaticregulation,as
soonasthedesiredtemperatureisattained.
Switchoffthedemistinganddefrostingcontrols,ifnotautomatic.
Switchofftheheatedseatassoonaspossible.
Switchofftheheadlampsandfrontfoglampswhentheambientlight
leveldoesnotrequiretheiruse.
Avoidrunningtheenginebeforemovingoff,particularlyinwinter;your
vehiclewillwarmupmuchfasterwhiledriving.
Asapassenger,ifyouavoidconnectingyourmultimediadevices
(film,music,videogame...),youwillcontributetowardslimitingthe
consumptionofelectricalenergy,andsooffuel.
Disconnectyourportabledevicesbeforeleavingthevehicle.
Eco-driving
Eco-drivingisarangeofeverydaypracticesthatallowthemotoristtooptimisetheirfuelconsumptionandCO
2
emissions.
Drive smoothly
Maintainasafedistancebetweenvehicles,useenginebrakingrather
thanthebrakepedal,andpresstheacceleratorprogressively.These
practices contribute towards a reduction in fuel consumption and CO
2
emissionsandalsohelpsreducethebackgroundtrafficnoise.
Ifyourvehiclehascruisecontrol,makeuseofthesystematspeeds
above25mph(40km/h)whenthetrafficisflowingwell.
Thegearshiftindicatorinvitesyouengagethemostsuitablegear:as
soon as the indication is displayed in the instrument panel, follow it
straightaway.
Forvehiclesfittedwithanautomaticgearbox,thisindicatorappears
onlyinmanualmode.

Limit the causes of excess consumption
Spreadloadsthroughoutthevehicle;placetheheaviestitemsinthe
bottomoftheboot,ascloseaspossibletotherearseats.
Limit the loads carried in the vehicle and reduce wind resistance (roof
bars,roofrack,bicyclecarrier,trailer...).Usearoofboxinpreference.
Removeroofbarsandroofracksafteruse.
Attheendofwinter,removesnowtyresandrefityoursummertyres.
Observe the recommendations
on maintenance
Checkthetyrepressuresregularly,whencold,referringtothelabelin
thedooraperture,driver'sside.
Carryoutthischeckinparticular:
- beforealongjourney,
- ateachchangeofseason,
- afteralongperiodoutofuse.
Don'tforgetthesparewheelandthetyresonanytrailerorcaravan.
Haveyourvehicleservicedregularly(engineoil,oilfilter,airfilter,
passengercompartmentfilter...)andobservethescheduleof
operationsrecommendedinthemanufacturer'sserviceschedule.
WithaBlueHDiDieselengine,iftheSCRsystemisfaultyyourvehicle
becomespolluting;gotoaCITROËNdealeroraqualifiedworkshop
withoutdelaytohavetheemissionsofnitrousoxidesbroughtbackto
thelegallevel.
Whenrefuelling,donotcontinueafterthethirdcut-offofthenozzleto
avoidanyoverflow.
At the wheel of your new vehicle, it is only after the first 1 800 miles
(3000kilometres)thatyouwillseethefuelconsumptionsettledownto
aconsistentaverage.

The7-inchtouchscreentabletgivesaccessto:

the display of associated information,
and,dependingonequipment,allows:
- thedisplayofalertmessagesandthe
visualparkingsensorsinformation,
- the permanent display of the time and the
ambienttemperature(abluewarninglamp
appearswhenthereisariskofice),
- accesstothecontrolsforthenavigation
system and Internet services, and the
displayofassociatedinformation.
For reasons of safety, the driver
should only carry out operations
that require close attention, with the
vehicle stationary.
Some functions are not accessible
whendriving.
