1. Preparation:
- Please connect a standard USB flash drive to a computer and format it with the file system ‘FAT’.
(WARNING: this procedure will delete all files on the USB flash drive!)
- Copy the downloaded and unpacked firmware file „UPGRADE.bin“ directly into the main folder of the USB
flash drive. Please do not rename the file as this may lead to failure of the update process.
- Please remove the USB flash drive safely from the computer and keep it ready for later use
2. Update procedure:
- Turn on your Sounddeck 150 and wait until it is operational. Use the remote control to choose the input
„HDMI ARC“
- Now insert the previously prepared USB flash drive into the USB socket at the back of the Sounddeck 150
- After that, please press the following keys on the remote control in quick succession:
- press ‚MUTE‘ (crossed-out loudspeaker symbol) 2x shortly
- press ‚VOL +‘ 1x shortly
- press and hold ‚SURR.‘ for several seconds
- The display of the Sounddeck 150 should now show „UPG“. This means that the new firmware on the USB
flash drive has been successfully recognized and is ready to be loaded into the Sounddeck. If the display of
the Sounddeck shows “ERROR” instead, either the USB flash drive or the firmware file were not accepted.
In this case, please start again at step 1 or try a different USB flash drive
- Within 10 seconds, please start the update procedure by pressing ‚MUTE‘ again shortly. During the update
process, the display of the Sounddeck 150 shows “UPG”. The updating process should be done within a few
minutes.
- after successful update, the display of the Sounddeck will show “DONE” for 10 seconds
3. Checking the current firmware version:
- To check the current firmware version, please turn on the Sounddeck, wait until it is operational and
choose the input “HDMI ARC”. Now press and hold the ‘MUTE’ key on the remote control for at least 5
seconds and then release it. After this, the current firmware version is shown in the display of the
Sounddeck 150.
