First Time Use
1. Place the unit on a at and stable surface.
2. Remove the water tank and ll it with fresh cold water.
• The water tank must be lled with fresh cold drinking water, never use warm
or hot water.
• Do not ll the water tank above the indication of 1.25 litres.
3. Put the water tank back in the unit.
4. Ensure the lter basket is rmly and properly placed into position.
Do not put a lter and/or ground coee in the lter basket.
5. Place the coee jug on the hot plate.
6. Plug into a socket.
7. Press the Start/Stop button once to start the brewing cycle.
8. Set the ow control; make sure it is NOT set on ‘ stop’. The unit will
beep once and the Start/Stop button light will start blinking.
9. Let the unit operate until the water tank is empty. When the water
tank is empty, the unit he Start/Stop button light will lit-up.
10. Press the Start/Stop button once to switch o the unit. The unit will
beep once and the Start/Stop button light will turn o.
11. Wash the coee jug and the lter basket with warm, soapy water.
12. Rinse and dry thoroughly and place the coee jug and lter basket back into position.
13. The coee machine is now ready for use.
Operation
1. Remove the water tank and ll it with fresh cold water up to the desired level.
• The water tank must be lled with fresh cold drinking water, never use warm
or hot water.
• The number of litres is clearly marked on one side of the water tank whereas
the number of cups is marked on the other side of the water tank.
• Do not ll the water tank above the indication of 1.25 litres.
2. Put the water tank back in the unit.
3. Ensure the lter basket is rmly and properly placed into position.
4. Open the lter basket lid. Place the paper coee lter (type 1x4) in the lter basket
and add the desired amount of ground coee in the coee lter. We recommend one
measuring spoon of ground coee per cup.
5. Close the lter basket lid.
6. Set the ow control; you can choose between or . We recommend to turn the ow
control to litres for brewing up to 6 cups of coee and for brewing over 6 cups of
coee.
7. Place the coee jug on the hot plate.
8. Press the Start/Stop button once to start the brewing cycle. The unit will beep once and
the Start/Stop button light will start blinking.
9. Let the unit operate until the water tank is empty. Once all the coee has dripped
through, the coee is ready to be served and the Start/Stop button light will lit-up.
When the brewing cycle is complete, the unit will keep your coee warm for
approximately 40 minutes. Afterwards the unit will automatically switch o. The unit will
beep once and the Start/Stop button light will turn o.
• If you wish to interrupt the brewing cycle, set the ow control to ‘ stop’.
The drip stop allows you to remove the coee jug during the brewing cycle.
However, it is better to wait until the end of the brewing cycle to ensure an
optimum avour and a high coee quality.
• If you wish to switch o the unit within the keeping-warm period, press the
Start/Stop button once.
10. Remove the lter basket and throw away the used paper lter and coee grounds.
11. Rinse the lter basket with warm water.
12. Ensure the lter basket is rmly and properly placed back into position.
