Thank you for purchasing the Hair Straightener SY-PP19. In order to fully benefit from this

product please read the following instructions carefully and store this user manual in a

safe place for future reference.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• Do not use this appliance near places where water may be present.

• If using the appliance in a bathroom, unplug after use as the proximity of water

can be dangerous even if the appliance is switched off.

• Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.

• Do not use the appliance if the cord is damaged.

• Do not leave the appliance unattended when plugged in.

• Be careful when handling the unit and avoid contact of the hot surfaces of the

appliance with the skin, in particular the ears, eyes, face.

• Never operate this appliance if it is not working properly, if it has a damaged cord

or plug, if it has been dropped or damaged, of came in contact with water.

Contact Sytech technical service department for a proper solution.

• Careful adult supervision is required when the appliance is used on, by or near

children or any disabled persons.

• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced

physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,

unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the

appliances by a person responsible for their safety.

• After use, do not coil the cable around the appliance as this may cause damage to

the cable.

• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its

service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

• This appliance is intended to be used in household and indoor.

• Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.

• Do not drop or insert any objects into any opening.

• Do not use with a voltage converter.

• Do not use an extension cord with the appliance.

• Do not use outdoors or where aerosol spray products are being used or where

oxygen is being administrated.

• To provide you with better performance, this straightener has extreme heat

capabilities. Extra care should be taken when using it. It is recommended to only

hold appliance by the handle.

• While heating and cooling the straightener, place it on a flat, smooth, heat-resistant

surface.

• When the appliance is hot, keep it on a heat-resistant surface and never cover the

appliance with anything, such as a towel or clothing.

• If you use the appliance on color-treated hair, the straightening plates may stain.

USING THE SY-PP19

Prior to using the new hair straightener, please follow the following instructions for your

hair to be straightened in the correct way:

• Wash and towel-dry your hair.

• Comb your hair thoroughly. Do not use hairspray or any flammable chemical hair

products.

• Divide the hair into strands. Separate hair strands by using the separation combs

to shape the hair strands from below.

• Gradually work along the hair strands to create a uniform hair style.

• When using the SY-PP19 for the first time, a special odor may be smelt and a

sizzling noise may be heard, which is normal and caused by the ions that are

generated. Slight smoke may appear but it is normal and will disappear after the

following use.

Switching on the unit:

• Insert the mains plug and switch on the device using the On / Off switch button.

• It takes approximately 2 to 3 minutes for the temperature to reach the level set.

Switching off the unit:

• Switch off the device using the On / Off switch.

• Remove the plug from the socket.

• Place it on a heat-resistant surface until it cools down

• Let it cool down completely before storing away

• Clean the appliance and straightening plates by damp cloth

• Lock the straightening plates

• Keep it in a safe and dry place, free of dust.

MAINTENANCE

• To clean the outer area of the appliance, make sure the straightener is unplugged.

Use a damp soapy sponge and wipe it with a dry or slightly damp cloth.

• Do not attempt to repair the appliance by yourself.

• When not in use, store the appliance in a safe place. Do not wrap the cord around it.
